I don't think she was disagreeing with you so much as acknowledging that this does happen. People DO get criticized for what they log as exercise. So on board with the not fair, don't judge, etc opinions. :)

Man, if I didn't get a work out from sex once in a while, someone's doin' something wrong! at least... in my world. Who wants a resting heart rate during that? Good lord... I'd be one cranky woman if that were the case. :noway:
-
Me personally, I log anything that I don't do at least 2x a week and/or gets my heart rate sufficiently above normal to constitute a 'workout'. If I'm cleaning my basement or doing load after load after load of laundry (and with kids, you do sometimes), I will log those things because they aren't regular occurrences…

I don't grade or judge, but I have noticed that I notice more. Odd isn't it? In reality, what business is it of ours what other people choose to eat? And yet......... I'll tell you what I WILL judge on... is when I see a toddler or young child with the person with the King Cola (or whatever), twinkies, frozen pizzas, ice…

The trigger is you have to want it. I mean, seriously... I've smoked for 20+ years (give or take) and I am still batteling the quitting and what it took was just some little switch going off in my head that said explicitely: it's time!!! There's NO WAY I would have been able to without that switch going off. I do still…

I made ginger tea with actual ginger root and honey. Or you could just get some dramamine.

ROFLMAO!!!! Omg.. this is hysterical. Really? Everyone's getting all bent out of shape because of a TOY TREADMILL???!!!!! Seriously?? Think about this: TOY. TREADMILL. Did you all look at this thing? Really look at it? It's PLASTIC and RUBBER. TOY. Toy toy toy toy toy. Just like those plastic shopping carts to go pretend…

I think this is a hard question to generalize by gender. I think it's more specific to the individuals in question. Can *some* men and women be purely 100% platonic friends with absolutely nothing by way of sexual tension/thought between them? Yes. But I don't know if I'd necessarily use this information to apply it to…

Bullying hasn't gotten worse, we have.[/quote] I agree. Our disposable world is made up of disposable people and disposable relationships (thank you Fight Club...although I am not supposed to talk about that). Nobody means anything to anyone else these days. This disconnect will be our downfall if we, as a society, don't…

This isn't, generally, true. I'm sorry if you experienced a delayed reaction by the adults in your community... that's terrible. However, bullying has *always* been around and to a pretty violent extent. It just used to be an accepted part of childhood and it wasn't nationally publicized as it is now. If a girl got raped,…

If you'd like it as a resource, I had professor last year that did an entire anti-bullying program at her school when she was an administrator and she wrote a book full of ideas, concepts, exercises, plans, etc. "Fight Free School: Creating a Caring School Culture that Promotes Achievement" by Dr. Margaret R. Dolan.…

Closure and resolution heals many injuries. She must have had a very difficult youth and found another to take out her own pain and anger on as my guess would be that it is all she knew. I would not be surprised to find out that she was being severely abused during that time. You have a kind heart to have forgiven and…

sounds like a plateau. I would suggest to try 2 things (1 week each to see which one works best) a) up your cals by 100-150 a day. b) extend the intensity and length of your workouts. Good luck!

Zumba we designed by a man, if that helps. Couldn't tell ya' if he's straight or not... Here's the thing.. the moves (like in alot of dances) are modified for men because their center of gravity is different. So, maybe watch some youtube videos just to get an idea of what those modifications look like. :) Otherwise, he…

She said she normally works out 3-4 days... since there's 7 days in a week, my assumption would be she's getting a rest day.

I'm the same way. I just want to go to bed after a workout and the harder it is, the more I want to sleep. I've always been that way. *shrugs* it might just be what it is - but don't let it stop you; you might want to change when you workout though. If it makes you sleepy like ti does me, then an hour before bed might be…

You know.. I don't get why we have to keep screwing with Mother. She already gave us a safe, non-carcinogenic, relatively low calorie sweetener - WHEN USED PROPERLY. It's called sugar. One teaspoon is like.. 10 calories. If you use 2.5 teasponse in your coffee, you're adding a whoppin' 25 calories. Even better, no cancer.…

Edit: hit reply too soon - no actual reply. lol Okay, so when you need to stick to a fairly strict budget, and it sounds like you do - you want to do two things to start: 1) make a list before you go and STICK TO IT! This is not easy... but the list helps to keep you from straying. Oh, and make sure to eat before you go.…

I don't think the issue is what she *can* get for her buck.. it's the fact that *right now* she doesn't have anything to buy food with, this is all she has on hand. cdowns, dear - it sounds like you understand the changes you need to make and once payday makes it's round, you'll be okay? Do you need any help budgeting for…

cdowns: I agree with the previous poster that mentioned your diet - the what you're eating, not even how much or the calories consumed. You feel full because - well to be honest, you're eating crap. That stuff is very heavy on the system, full of preservatives, chemicals and god only knows what else. I wouldn't say your…

Get defensive much? Maybe you shouldn't post if you're going to behave like a spoilt 2 year old when someone asks a question. That's really helpful. FnL, love - I believe what *can* happen is that because the system becomes accustomed to not receiving nourishment at a certain time, the hormones (at least, I think its…

Depends on what you're doing with it and you want to refrigerate after opening in a plastic container (don't leave any product in aluminum/tin). Use probably within a week. Sweetened milk is good for dessert type dishes or beverages, unsweetened is better for cooking primary foods like fish, shrimp, curry, etc.
-
Any white fish - soak in milk, coat with unsweetened coconut flakes and lightly fry in olive oil (to prevent sticking & help the coconut to stick). Makes for a slightly sweet, light but tasty dish.

Ooh.. I'm outta' my league! I don't know either... anyone else? I'm actually awful at this game LOL!

Caffeine doesn't cause headaches. Withdrawal does. Caffeine doesn't cause these either but will trigger & aggrevate pre-existing digestive disorders. Seriously? Fatigue? Depression? Please tell me you take this reading with a grain of salt?. Oiy.
