Thanks everyone for the advice and support! I feel better already and got some great ideas. :)

Put your feet under something heavy (couch, dresser, ect). This will help with your forward momentum.

I do Gold's Gym work out DVD's and have had splendid results in my body since I started a couple months ago(core/full body work out, 30 minutes every other day) I also either run and/or walk the dog. You need to stay active and work your entire body. I don't think, correct me if I'm wrong, those wii games keep your heart…

Keep at it and don't give up. Getting on a proper diet and exercise plan is a life change. Don't get frustrated because you are not seeing 'quick' results. Getting your body in shape can take months, not weeks. It sounds like you are on the right path to succeed and you -will- get there! Stop weighing yourself if it is…

I agree. Are you just giving up wheat 'gluten'? I've given up dairy and cutting back on breads in general/gluten myself and running into the same problem. I found eating a variety of gluten free pasta's and rice helps me bulk up on calories.

Work out: How about swimming? Or take it outside and go someplace you've never been/hiked before. Try a at home workout DVD and get some new gym-type work outs from it. Go with a friend, or even try a different fitness program you've never tried before like yoga, kick boxing, karate, etc Food: Carrot, Squash, Zucchini…

I've seen weight loss/energy spike since going vegan. I've also been counting my calories on here, and watching my fat intake. Were you cutting out dairy with your vegetarian diet? It could be other factors such as how you cooked your meals (oils add up), what type of snacks you ate, how many calories you eat in a day, how…

I too agree. You will do (and feel) 100% times better if you stick to a healthy low-cal/fat diet and exercise. It's a life style change for sure, and yes it won’t be easy, but no drug will ever 'fix' you. You have to fix you by eating a more natural diet that includes veggies and change your body by exercising (walking is…

Cardio is a great start; you also want to make sure you are working your entire core. Do you utilize a gym? Trainer? Work out DVDs? A lot of cardio, core/entire body exercises, and snacking on nuts/fruit every two hours a day helped me fight stubborn belly fat. If you can afford it, try out a professional trainer for a…

I would agree that you might see minuscule results and might burn a bit more calories walking. I personally would take the money and invest it in work out DVDs/personal trainer/gym membership. You'll see far better results on your body if you actually work your muscles out and target your core/areas you want to tone. Don't…

Sugar from fruit is good. Your body breaks down fruit fast. Refined-processed sugar is bad. Stay away from this type of sugar.

I too get weird looks and comments, especially at work whenever diet, exercise, and overall health is brought up in casual conversation. Just because I want to make sure I get the right amount of calories, exercise, and eat healthy everyone always looks astonished and says "why!?! You don't need to lose weight! Your sooo…

Make sure you do a vigorous work out before you go out. This way you can implement beer in your diet and your body can eat up the calories/carbs. Beer isn't any worst for you than a liquor based drink. It has no fat, and is around the same amount of calories as a shot of liquor. People most likely associate beer with…

I had the same issue and sought out some professional advice last summer. I thought it was because of 'tight shoe laces' or the type of shoe I bought, but I found out it wasn't anything like that. I was told I needed arch support since my feet were so flat; this was the reason why my feet were going numb. I got a pair of…

Wow. First off, Way to go on the work outs! I personally wouldn't feel guilty. Think of it this way, Calories = Fuel and it sounds like you used up a lot of fuel for your work outs today! If you didn't replenish yourself, you would be completely drained and worn out. I've done it before where I felt like hell after working…

This is tough because there are different sugar/lime mix varieties out there. My advice would be to stay away from any generic sugar based margarita mixes(most bars use this because of cost). Find out if the bar serves 'fresh lime' margaritas. This way you know your drink wont contain any processed ingredients or sugar. A…

What I did at first was switch to a 'more healthy' junk food and limit myself from there. I would only pull out 1 serving size, place it in a bowl and put the rest away. I also made sure to put it in a place where I can't actively 'see' it. (out of site out of mind..) Example: Instead of regular Cheetos's, I went with the…
