  • I could have written this myself.... I get those feelings myself, but it does get easier, I am gradually learning to accept compliments, I am gradually getting more familiar with my new size and I am gradually becoming familiar with my reflection..... I was told to study myself in the mirror every day, just spend a few…
  • Congratulations, that is very good going.... I am quite similar in my approach, I eat how and what I want (within reason) and I don't always eat back all my exercise calories, I have enjoyed every step of my journey and I'm almost at my goal now - only 12lb to go, which I would like to lose by November 2014. It's great…
  • I wear cropped leggings and a semi fitted Tshirt, trainers and sports bra (the most important piece of sports gear for woman in my opinion).... One kit is a black Tshirt, black & green leggings, the other kit is a pink Tshirt and black and pink leggings, my trainers are white, with blue and pink markings on them. To be…
  • On upper body day I do 10 minutes rowing machine, 10 minutes arm bike (Upper Ergometer I think it's actually called) and then I do 45 minutes of upper body strength work - high reps at low weight; I then finish my routine with 15 minutes on the cross/elliptical trainer. On lower body day I do 15 minutes on the…
  • In November 2012 I started out with 168lb to lose, 20 months later I have 12lb left to lose. It can be done..... Good luck xXx
  • I don't really call it pain - I call it a burn and it feels great (in a way) xXx
  • I have PCOS and it has had no real impact on my weight loss, I've lost 156lb in 20 months.... Just find what works for you and go with it, I do have to tweak my diet on a semi regular basis to keep it fresh though - I'm also Coeliac so my food choices can be limited at times, but again it isn't getting in my way. xXx
  • Don't eat after a certain time at night.... Calories can't tell the time!! There are so many, but most of them have already been mentioned lol xXx
  • Heroes.... I absolutely love them xXx
  • Mine is boring - it's my initials and my date of birth lol xXx
  • Hi, I started on 15th November 2012, I weighed 321lb Today I weight 165lb, I'm trying to get down to 153lb, so only another 12lb left to lose and I'd like to do it by 15th November 2014. Sadly I have no way to post pictures on here, but if you look at my profile, I do have some before and current comparison pictures. Good…

  • OP has obviously never seen Jessie Pavelka without his shirt on.... Muscles and tattoos - excuse while I get naked  xXx
  • Ultimately I made me fat, but I did have a very difficult first marriage (daily violence) and I never had any money; I used to get £11.08 a week Child Benefit and I spent that on my baby, but I ate whatever I could pinch from shops or if I walked for an hour to my mum's I would have dinner with them, I never told Mum what…
  • Getting my life back Seeing improvements in my fitness & stamina Having a wider selection of clothes stores that sell my size No longer being the fattast/heaviest person amongst my friends & family Sleeping better at night No longer being stared at or shouted at in the street The friends I've made at the gym Being in…
  • Hi, I'm Coeliac and I can be sensitive to dairy (I can't eat Greek yogurts or cream, I can only stomach skimmed milk and thin, fat free yogurts) and soya is a no no for me too (so no dairy replacement options for me). I eat fresh fruit, veg, fish, meat, I love quinoa, I have gluten free pasta; I love gluten free rice…
  • Hi, I'm 41 in October and I'm going back to college in January, to do a course that is generally for 16 to 18 year olds, I'm a bit nervous, but I am also really excited about it..... What are you hoping to study?? xXx
  • Hi, I have numerous tattoos (20 I think) and I use them as rewards for weight loss success - each time I lose a stone (14lb) I have a new tattoo, I have all mine in places that are not generally affected by weight/inch loss. I have tattoos on my inner wrists, collar bones, behind my ears, forearms, biceps, shoulder blades,…
  • That is so mean, to be honest I'd not put up with it, I'd be gone..... But that's just me - I've been through all of that with my ex husband, hence the reason why he's the ex.... Good on you for buying some healthy stuff, don't let negative people drag you down, just smile and think to yourself that every verbal attack is…
  • This is an awesome thread..... I have never read such a positive post and the subsequent replies been equally as positive....!! There is a young lady (probably early 20's) at our gym, she always wear a pair of black & hot pink leggings and a hot pink & black tank top style Tshirt, her trainers are black and two tone pink,…
  • Hi, According to the NHS requirements you have to have a BMI of 45 to 49,9 with at least one co-morbidity (diabetes or high blood pressure) or a BMI of over 50 in order to be considered for bariatric surgery, so the doctor is correct on that, but the diet is ridiculous.... If you are depressed, eating at that level is not…
  • <This is one of my then and now photos, the fat photo is from December 2007 - back then I knew I was fat, but I just thought it was something I would have to learn to live with. I think I weighed about 22stone - 210lb I can't be sure because I refused to step on the scales back then. The now photo was taken on the 28th…
  • I was finally able to wear a dress that's been hanging in my wardrobe for 10 years, it was a gift (by someone who had concept of sizes) and it fitted lovely and I felt great wearing it. And I did a 120 second plank, my previous best was 30 seconds. xXx
  • At first I would say "Oh thanks" I was just surprised by the fact that they even noticed.... The other day this woman (we have a mutual distaste for one another - always have had) looked me up and down, then said in a rather sarcastic tone "Oh you've lost weight" so my response was "No *kitten*, really!?!" Apparently that…
  • On my 39th birthday (October 2012) I decided I didn't want to be 20stone plus when I hit the big 4-0.... On my 40th birthday I was 15st 3lb, I had done it, I am still on my journey, but I am almost at my goal now, only 14lb to go.... xXx
  • I am 40 & I have PCOS, I've had it years - I don't have any of the other related conditions (for which I'm grateful) & as my ticker shows I have lost almost half my body weight.... I don't follow any diet plan, I don't believe in Paleo, Atkins, South Beach, Weight Watchers, Slimming World (to name but a few); I eat out…
  • Hi, I'm on a gluten free diet, I'm not actually coeliac, but I have a wheat intolerance; I have found a vast improvement in my general well being since doing so, I am less bloated after eating, I'm no longer constipated (apologies for the TMI) & I feel less fatigued after eating a meal. My diet hasn't really changed since…
  • I usually drink filtered water (tap water tastes like bleach round here) but occasionally I'll drink flavoured water, diet Coke or Pepsi Max - usually only when we eat out, I rarely have any in the house; I also drink herbal teas. I'm not a fan of fizzy pop (soda) because it's too sweet & I can't stand dilute squash…
  • I have the exact opposite problem - I've lost almost half my body weight and it's come off my face, arms, legs, thighs and butt, sadly my midsection is still really flabby and now just full of loose skin. My butt has all but disappeared, I now have to sit on a cushion because if I don't I get a sore bottom and I leave 2…
  • I was on the waiting list for a gastric bypass, back in November 2012, I was convinced it was my last hope, I thought I tried everything and this was the only way I was ever going to become slimmer and healthier.... I chickened out on the day I was supposed to be going to see a surgeon, I just couldn't do it - I'd lost…
