Try to wait to have dinner a little later. I am pretty impatient, and generally want to eat dinner at 4pm, and that's when I need a night snack, but if I can save up till 6pm or later, a bit mug of hot cocoa will do (2teaspoons of cocoa + 2 teaspoons of sugar mixed together, boiling water poured on top, and a dash of your…

Sounds like you increased your workload. Take a break, recover, return to your workout regime. I personally gain weight when I try to do too much exercise because I supplement with caffeine which causes insomnia, and then I eat more the next day in my sleep-deprived state. I found the cause and eliminated it now I workout…

It's not showing up in the computer :)

I am using my computer. It shows up on the phone app, but not the computer. I add it in as cardiovascular of course, so for example I do a 15km run and burn like 600calories or more, well usually I make a MyExercise out of it and select 600 calories burned. But even if I add it in as [90minutes * "Running/jogging, 12m/h"]…

It depends on what type of work you're doing too. If you're on your feet all day you'll be burning energy and can probably eat the same amount. If you just got a desk job, then maybe cut back. Just watch your weight during the transition and if it starts to creep up, you're eating more than you're burning and vice versa.

You need to eat less.

Great chart!!

Well I think there is a difference between hunger, appetite and low blood sugar/dehydration. Hunger: your body is burning too much muscle, eat more. Appetite: Craving something specific (sometimes you actually need it though), emotional eating, or stimulated by the taste or smell of another food. Just try to pay attention…

counting calories isn't perfect, and weight loss is not linear. best method is to set a goal and stick to it fairly consistently for a few weeks, check progress and alter slightly until your actions align with your goals. I doubt anyone gets it right the first time.

running! edit: agreed with SuInAz, I used to say I hated it, until I decided to give it a proper go. I started by running 1km/day for 7 days, then 2km/day for 7 days, and by then I had a feel of where I was at and started changing it to suit myself. Now I just run a few days a week about 10km each time

Good luck, perhaps you have not been in touch with your body's thirst signal and this can help you get bck in touch. If you're into drinking, I can't imagine it'll last for long unless you've been looking for a reason to quit.

I think its good, although my definition of "macros" includes (roughly in order of importance): calories, freshness/nutritiousness, protein, water content, fiber... Carbs/fat/protein is not the be all and end all, but its a good place to start if you're a noob.

I ate soooooo much today

they all have flat stomachs. I think its more about shape than size per se. You could be size 10 but skinny-fat, or size 8 but absolutely toned. The toned would look better imo

Well this has turned into a vegan-bashing thread! Well done people.
-
The most unsustainable thing right now is the exponential human population growth and consequent emission of greenhouse gases, which could very well cause an unpredictable shift in the global climate patterns. Humans require food, and all forms of food production creates waste, some more than others. Does veganism create…

Whoa!! I've been vegan for 4 or 5 years now, but it took several years to transition into it before that. I would never have been able to jump in "cold turkey" (what a timely pun!). I'll add I know people who have gone vegan for lent or to make up for holiday feasting or bad food choices and it never ends well. They…

Just to clarify, the whole fresh produce section is a vegan isle, as is pasta and rice. :) I get people asking me what I eat and I usually say "most international foods, instead of just the standard Australian stuff" and if they are interested, I give them a few favourite recipes or tell them my favourite restaurants. I am…
