6/1 = 5 miles 6/2 = 6 miles @ 6 weeks postpartum!

Thank you everyone for the compliments :) @karllundy That's awesome! I just love this combination of two names, and once I suggested it to my husband, he would not even consider any other names! :# Let's get serious now, shall we? 6/1 = 5 miles

Hello everyone! I am finally back to the running challenges, woohoo! It's nice to see all the familiar faces AND so many new runners joining the challenge! A little update: my little runner Anna Elizabeth arrived on May 22, 2015 @ 6:13am EST, 5lb 9 oz and 19.5 inches of pure joy! We call our baby girl Anya :) She sure kept…

Excellent running everyone!
-
Congratulations @Jillsie11 :D I love the name, and she looks perfect! She is wrapped in the same blanket as my little one was, I wonder if all US hospitals shop for their blankets at the same place :) Wishing you a speedy recovery!

How are we doing, ladies? Anyn beautiful babies yet? :) I managed to keep mine alive for 3 weeks, woohoo! Hope everyone is doing well! P.S. I will share my birth story, I promise. Just need to get used to my new crazy routine :#

This group did get quiet, I hope everyone is doing well! June is here, ladies, so your babies are making their entrance very very soon! My little birdie will be 2 weeks tomorrow. She is the light of my life! I must say, I didn't get this maternal connection to her right away. It took me a couple of days to realise she is…

Hello ladies! I finally got some time to update you all about my baby situation. My runner girl made her grand entrance on May 22, 2015, at 6:13am EST. Please welcome Anna Elizabeth, 5 lb 9 oz, 19.5 inches of pure joy <3 She is my whole world! And her daddy is already wrapped around her tiny little finger :) My labor was…

This should read "You should see my husband's face when he sees waves going on all over my belly." My proofreading skills failed me :D

Hello ladies. It's official: I am no longer a June mommmy-to-be as my induction has been scheduled for May 21. Yes, it is just two weeks away! I have been trying to process this for the last 3 days, and it's still very surreal. Well, whether I'm ready or not, it's happening. I went to a doctor yesterday and everything…

It is May indeed :o Which could also be the month my little one comes to the world. I will find out tomorrow if my doctor thinks I should be induced early. In any case, only a handful of weeks left, yikes! Surprisingly, our baby room is completely set up. All it needs is a baby :) I am not drinking raspberry tea, this is…

@NikkisixGuns If you already had your 32-34 weeks ultrasounds, they might not do another one. I have one every week because I am a high risk pregnancy patient now. Seriously, I stopped counting my visits... In either case, if your boy was head down already, it is unlikely he will rotate. Gravity is on your side here :)…
-
@NikkiSixGuns They measured both. According to my uterus length, she is right on schedule. But according to the two most recent ultrasounds, she is measuring 2.5 weeks behind. My doc said that some babies are just small, and they grow up being happy and healthy. Unfortunately, smaller babies "do not like labour" (verbatim…

Welcome, Penguin! I think your overall gain would be considered +10. But I am not a doctor :) I have gained about 20 pounds so far, but when I went to my last sonogram appointment, my doctor said the baby was too small for how far along I am :( I got a second opinion from another doctor, and he confirmed that she is indeed…

Hello everyone! I have been battling a series of sicknesses in the last few week, just cold and flu, nothing extreme, so definitely have not been exercising. But now I feel much better, so I will be going back to my usual routine of lifting and light cardio. My little girl is very active, she moves and kicks all the time;…

@ShortMrsN @ddmom0811 Hello ladies! I am still pregnant :) 9 more weeks to go. I stopped running due a series of sickness (just cold and flu, nothing too serious) But I am still lifting and doing some light impact cardio exercises. I shall return to running as soon as I can! Seriously, I cannot wait to do my usual 6-12…

Phew, took me some time to read through yall's posts :) Great running, everyone! I got very ill last Sunday night and did not get better for several days. I think this was my body's way of saying "Enough, lady! Time to slow down, you are 7 months pregnant after all"...And so I did :# I took a week off from running and…

@lonewolfrunner I am in love with your description of running outside! <3 @cooter_mom Don't think twice about going outside! In my opinion dreadmill run and outside runs don't even live in the same universe!
-
@JoRocka I hate dreadmill with passion too, but this season it's not just about me. I am not afraid of the low temperatures, but rather terrified of slipping and falling and hurting my unborn child...so dreadmill it has been for the last few week! :s @Lonewolfrunner Remember that one time you said "Let's switch jobs for a…

@akirkman86 Thanks! I have not bought a running stroller yet...To be honest I have not bought any baby stuff... :# I bought a new pair of running shoes for me, does that count? :D I am planning on getting BOB Revolution stroller closer to May/June. Do you have any recommendations? On a side note...How are my east coast…

Thank everyone for the support! Time is going fast indeed :# Soon I'll be sharing my stroller run experience with you all. @_nikkiwolf_ WOW awesome pics! The peacocks are beautiful! @shanaber Stunning! Thanks for sharing. I love love love dogs, add running and the beach and I am in heaven ;) Back to business now... 3/2 =…

I am in for 80 miles again. Not sure if I will be able to make the goal, as I am going into my last trimester, but I will give it a shot ;) Might have to walk some of the miles later in the month.

Brooks Ghost 6 is what Im running in now, can't say enough good things about this model. I'm pretty confident they should have been retired about 150 miles ago :) But I just can't let them go yet... I hear Ghost 7 is pretty much the same model, different color design. So I'll be getting those in the very near future.
-
@ganzelly Congratulations! I am not a March mommy-to-be, but still very excited for you! Lots of happiness and health to your baby boy and your family, love the profile pic! :)

@italysharon I do full body strength training twice a week, and squats/lunges/deadlifts are a big part of it. The soreness goes away eventually, I no longer get it, unless I take a long break from lifting. I truly think strengthening my thighs, hamstring and gluteus helped improving my running. As much as I love running, I…
-
I use Adidas Powerlift 2.0 on lifting days, so does my husband (the men's version of course). We ordered them directly from Adidas, and love them. Super flat, but very comortable, great for squatting and dl. And yes, it's is acceptable to bring a second pair of shoes if you plan on doing a quick cardio session before/after…
-
@johnsonnelly I do not do a warm up before my runs, but rather run at a lower pace for the first 2-3 minutes. I do have a cooldown, about 5 minutes or so. I foam roll my legs, thighs, and butt whenever I feel like :) Just randomly throughout the day, often during commercial breaks. I also strength train twice a week. This…
