how did I know Fung was going to be quoted there!!! :*

you lose weight through a calorie deficit - no need to fast, but if it helps you maintain a calorie deficit - go for it. people use IF (if that is the fasting you are referring to) to gain, lose or maintain their weight - it all comes down to calorie intake.
-
a lot is not adding up here - you say you feel like you are eating all day - yet are only at 700-800 calories per day? unless you are eating lettuce and nothing else all day, I don't see how that can be. also, if you were truly eating 700-800 calories per day the weight would be flying off. sounds like you are not weighing…

um, if this were true, why would diet soda be recommended for diabetics??
-
if you were truly eating 1000 calories per day, lifting 5 times per week and "very active," you would not be feeling "gooooood" (as you put it). Good news is you are likely eating much more than 1000 calories/day. You should start by weighing your food to see what you are actually taking in and then slowly raise (if…

protein pancakes/waffles.

wouldn't this be something to talk to a doctor about?? blood clots are serious and not something I would be turning to strangers on the internet for advice regarding.

what kind of job was this? sounds awful! didn't think it was even legal for them to ask details about the specifics of your health condition. here (in Canada) at my job they aren't even allowed to ask for diagnosis or details.
-
so your plan is to go "all out," work until you feel like you are about to pass out and do that 7 days per week? that is seriously your plan?
-
first, you probably shouldn't be getting your life advice from Shape magazine! second, if it were as easy as sitting in a sauna wouldn't everybody do this instead of exercise/calorie deficit/etc.??
-
are you weighing everything you eat??
-
what are you doing between 4am and whenever your children get up? seems like there is lots of room there to work out if you want to - that and the lunch hours. do groceries one day per week instead of five and you just saved yourselves 4 more hours to exercise. besides all that, as someone said above - you lose weight…
-
this! and why are you drinking "too much apple cider vinegar" - sounds like you are trying to do gimmicky things in hopes of a quick fix?? not sure why else you would put yourself through all that when a calorie deficit would do?!
-
but you still haven't said - are you counting calories? weighing your food? if you are not losing weight that is not what you are doing.
-
what did you think a "serious mass calorie rich" product was going to do ??
-
as others have said, if you are not weighing your food you have no idea how much you are actually eating. you should start there and you'll have a better idea where you actually stand.
-
no. muscle building (especially in a woman) is a long and slow process. plus, muscle will never go on at a rate that will outpace fat loss - especially while eating at a deficit (which she claims to be).
-
maybe see a doctor?? if biking for 15 seconds or walking for 10 minutes makes you feel that your heart is going to explode you need to see a doctor.
-
but doesn't it tell you how many grams are in the whole thing? so you would just divide that by however many servings you are having to know grams per serving? I think grams are far more accurate and wish everything was this way!
-
there are no recipes that help you lose weight. you eat what you want that puts you in a sustained calorie deficit over time.
-
are you weighing everything you eat on a scale? not just "counting calories" ??
-
this has got to be a troll who started a new account just to post this list of the most non-credible sources out there!!
-
more effective for what? IF is simply an eating schedule - people use IF to lose, gain or maintain their weight.
-
if you are getting enough protein in your diet you don't need BCAAs...is there a reason you want to take them?
-
I think that's the point??
-
how much were you expecting to lose in one week? did you put all your weight on in one week? it certainly does not come off that fast.
-
you gain weight by eating in a calorie surplus over time. are you talking about weighing yourself, eating a bowl of fruit and then weighing yourself again? eating anything will put on the weight of what you ate.
-
check out supplementsource.ca - it was the best site I've ever found - you can get super great deals on some usually much more expensive products.
-
interesting you posted this three minutes after specifically asking for medical experts in another thread?? :*

do you have any idea how hard it is to put muscle on? especially for a female? no woman is going to put muscle on at a rate that would out-pace fat loss - especially not while eating 1300-1500 calories per day. much more likely to be a water retention or measurement issue.
