I am part of a couple message boards for knee replacements, but let's just say that most of the members there are less-than-active - I was hoping to hear from people who are into fitness and have a joint replacement.

the garmin does this for a wide variety of activities (my fenix lists a variety of exercises - most of which i don't do). but as others said, you have to take the readings with a grain of salt.

garmin fenix is nice - i dont use most of the functions, but still worth it for the basic functions and looks nice :smiley:

are masks mandatory outdoors in texas? here in Canada (Ontario) masks are mandatory indoors, but not outdoors, so I would never expect people on an outdoor sport field (or outdoors doing anything really) to be wearing masks.

were you weighing all of your food when you tried this plan?? It is very difficult to imagine someone gaining 8 pounds eating 1200 calories/day.

tried a shake once (because someone gave it to me for free) and I thought it tasted like *kitten*. not sure why anyone would pay for that stuff? and if you are wanting to lose weight it is certainly not necessary.

anyone have a recommendation for a protein bread that is widely available in Canada? I was using p28 but a lot of stores around me don't carry it anymore. any brands you guys know of and store that carries it is much appreciated!

as others said above, the package only tells you what you are eating - not how much. start by weighing things and you'll be in for an eye opener.

sounds like you aren't weighing or even logging all your food - start there.

your weight fluctuates - it goes up and down - it won't be a very specific number each day due to different factors like water, hormones, etc. if you are sure you are eating at the right deficit carry on.

what are you trying to achieve with these measurements? I still think expecting to see major differences in muscle mass over the course of a number of days in each different body part is unrealistic.

muscle growth (especially in a female) is a long and slow process - how much muscle exactly are they saying you have put on in a 10 day period?

4pm...not related to weight loss - I just don't eat again after dinner at 4. Related to this, was on vacation recently where dinner was closer to 7-8pm and I found it so uncomfortable going to bed on a full stomach. It always amazes me to hear people eating at 8, 9, 10pm - but I know others think I'm crazy for not eating…

can you open your diary? often people here are able to spot errors that could be in there..

I buy them occasionally when I find them cheap for after a workout, but there are a lot better choices for breakfast if you want to drink your calories (i.e. a smoothie or protein shake) that would keep you full and have a better macro breakdown.

I was going to say the same thing. Still confused by your original post, but if you are somehow blaming your weight situation on this occurrence, why on earth would you be purposely passing that on to your daughter?
