Find the closest entry you can on the database, if you can't find anything close, take your best guess (and try to guess high) and quick add. I went to a Chinese buffet the other day with my BFF. I have no idea how many calories I ate. I have no idea what entries in the database are closest to what I did eat. I logged it…

You're welcome. Glad I could help.

I'm doing bodyweight for my legs, will progress to ankle weights when that gets too easy, looking for a program for my upper body now! Asking about beginners programs with weights on the fitness board because I have physical limitations, and asking a trainer friend for help to come up with a program for me. I forgot about…

Responding to the bolded bits. I'm probably quite a bit bigger than you are so my calorie numbers will probably be larger than yours, but I recently switched from a Samsung phone to an iPhone. I had them both synced with MFP. Samsung would give me 200 calories for 3000 steps (a thirty minute walk, I'm slow and starting…

You look amazing! Maybe there's hope for me yet!

I'm going to be following this thread. I'm an apple and can't imagine this belly ever going away. I imagine myself at 150 with scrawny legs and arms and a belly that still sticks out past my boobs, just smaller!

My non-scale goal is put my diabetes into remission by this time next year. With medication (but no insulin) my last A1C a week ago was 5.9, so I think it's doable for me. Congrats on your success! Your hard work has certainly paid off!

I misunderstood, I apologize. And I can't disagree with any of that. Healthcare costs in this country are so incredibly broken right now, and I don't know if it will even be possible to fix it given the type of people who run for office on both sides of the aisle. We had a chance to do it right with the ACA. All these…

Interesting. I'm adding cardio in right now, next step is resistance. Gotta get the money for weights first.

If you track regularly, accurately (weigh all solids, preferably in grams, measure all liquids, any kitchen scale from Walmart will do as long as they measure in grams which most of then do), and consistently you'll see his changes. You may have to adjust your calories, but eat what MFP gives you as an allowance for a…

I have had my phone tell me that I climbed two flights of stairs in a day when all I did was walk around my one story house and around my very flat mall. (I am physically unable to climb stairs easily, I'm very slow and it's uncomfortable. I avoid them like the plague.) Computers can know so much. I'd play it safe by…

I take a multivitamin and vitamin d. I may not need the multi, but it helps me feel psychologically better about my diet. I am trying to improve the quality of my diet, but there are many days I run low on iron or calcium for instance. It doesn't hurt and it doesn't cost much. Usually Walgreens has them buy one get one…

Well I stand corrected then! Thank you!

No change is OK. There's always next week. Keep on doing what you're doing. The changes will come.

We can do it! Just gotta remember what we learn during weight loss and keep doing what worked than. I'll probably end up tracking and measuring the rest of my life, and I'm OK with that. It doesn't take much time, and it works. I'm learning to like exercise, which will help too.

I don't get that either. Sometimes I get a craving for salt, but not always, so that doesn't work for a predicter. I do get a bit more cranky though. When my husband or my mom start to bug me a little more than usual, i usually start in a couple days. I don't always notice the cranky though, I just chalk it up to being…

Not for me. One of my psych drugs is $500 a month. I'm not sure if that was the brand name or the generic though. I pay $10 for generic and $25 for brand name. That's a condition that I'll be treated for for life and not related to my obesity. Now if you said along with restrictions on how much the pharmaceutical companies…

That's why I'm cutting back on my additives. I want to like coffee not creamer and Splenda. So far so good. It's different, but it's not bad. I'll like it soon, then I'll cut back again until I'm drinking it black. And I want to save money. Creamer isn't super cheap ($3.50 a quart).

My husband and I always get our vaccines. It's important to me as a diabetic that I protect myself as much as possible from serious illnesses. Though I was tickled that I still came down with pneumonia a year after getting both pneumonia shots. Not tickled about having pneumonia, just amused by the concidence. Anyway, we…

I love junk food. I can't buy a bag of chips for myself whthout eating the whole bag at once. I can, however, eat only one serving if I measure it out the bag/box/whatever into individual servings before I start eating it. I was really really surprised at that, because I just KNEW I was going to go back and grab a second…

No worries. Just thought I'd chime in with my experience. This is just an ancedote of course, other large women may very well have different experiences. I can't speak for us all! :)

I'm sorry, you have my sympathy. I have days like that for no reason at all, (probably a med side effect in my case) they aren't fun. Look at your diary and see if the weekends have anything in common. Even go back a couple days, in case it's just taking a bit longer for your digestive system to work it's way through your…

Best of luck to you! You can do this! Just remember to be kind to yourself and start over on bad days, because you'll have them. I have a lot of them still, and I've been doing this for almost a year.

I'm going to get rid of most of my clothes as they become too big for me. I'm going to keep one pair of pants for comparison, to remind me where I was and where I never want to go again. The rest I'm getting rid of. I know that if I have them, I'll wear them. Even if they are too big and sloppy. Of that are too big and I'm…

Oh I totally agree! I eat my calories back from exercise most days myself. I think what I was saying with the activity level bit was if the OP had set themselves to be active, when they really should have set themselves to lightly active, then eating the calories MFP gives then AND the calories from the Fitbit would be too…

I weighed 150 pounds overweight when I started and I'm now about 105 pounds overweight. I can't tell a difference in how my clothes fit or how my body feels when I'm retaining water. I had no idea I gained two pounds of water weight a few days before my period and lost it the day it started until I started tracking my…

I just remembered that I used to walk to the Zombies, Run! app a few years ago when I was trying tj get ivy the habit of going to the gym. The gym habit didn't take and I forgot about the app (I started walking with my husband and it's rude to listen to your phone when the other party isn't I I). I just remembered it…

That's mostly what I still do with wire free bras. I'm a 46HH (was a 50 unknown cup size) but was wearing 50DDDs because they for "well enough". My breasts are long and big, but squishy. They fit into the DDD cup of the brand I was wearing without spillage, but it didn't really give great support or separation. The…

Hopefully you see a nice loss to give you a confidence boost! It's just water weight probably at this early stage, but even just water weight feels good at the beginning. Let us know how it went.
