Lucky! I wish it worked for me. I binged this weekend and gained back what I had lost during the week.
-
That's a zero for me. At least it wasn't a gain

Google whooshes and squishy fat. Maybe it will help? From what I understand of whooshes is that when fat is lost, the fat cells temporarily fill up with water. Then they empty and the fat cells get smaller. There is an article on bodyrecomposition.com.

The percentages you post above, are they only for the week or from the starting weight?

My success this week was going through a whole week without a "no log day." For the past 6 weeks, I would have one or more days when I didn't log. A lot of times these were unplanned very high carb (binge) days. I'd just give up on trying to log it all. I tracked everything this week no matter how tedious I found it.

So, we use body fat first before dietary fat? Yeah! Thanks for the info both of you!

Depends on how many carbs you want to eat at maintenance I would think. You will probably gain weight if you go all out on carbs, especially "junk.". Probably not if you up your carbs a little and keep calories in check. Except for the couple of pounds of water that you'll gain when you start storing carbs at maintenance.…

Weekends are more difficult for me, too. I really don't know why. It isn't that I have more opportunity to eat. I only work part time and the kids are in school. So I have several days during the week during which I can make bad choices. But, I'm usually pretty good as long as I pay attention and don't let myself get too…

I like the chocolate chip "daybreak" bar. I've used them more this time around (I lost most of my weight last year), I have found that it is a bit more difficult. I eat one daily right now. The daybreak (smaller) one. I don't know if the slower weight loss is due to the bars or because I have so little to lose, but I think…

When I'm retaining water, like for TOM, I always see inch gains. It goes back down when I drop the water. Edited to add: I measure every week, but my "official" numbers are once a month. I find measuring weekly gives me an idea of whether I am measuring in the same spots. If the numbers don't change dramatically, then I'm…

Great job everyone! One week down. I had a pretty good week until this weekend. Then I went to a buffet and last night I ended up binging on carbs. I only netted a 0.2 lb loss as if this morning. But, at least it was something. I'm just irritated that I ended up ruining a good week...again. February was a terrible…

Today's my usual weigh in day, but I think I'll start sending my weight in on Mondays since thats when i sent my starting weight? We went to a buffet last night...

YES. I lost 50 lbs last year and went from a 36C to a 34A. Before I had babies and gained weight, my breasts were pretty small, but they seem smaller now. Actually, they are smaller because i used to be a 34B. Bras are so expensive, I found it hard to get rid of my old ones. Every time I looked down, I'd get depressed…

Do you mind my asking which e-cig you used?

I always test negative in the morning (or a very, very light trace) but darker by mid afternoon. I just this morning came up with a theory about that. I'm probably wrong. So, I thought that maybe I digest my food for the day at night. I read that it can take a couple of hours to a couple of days to digest food…

I was a scrawny kid. Quite thin (but not all skin and bones) until I was 19. Started to fill out (i.e., I started growing hips) and gained about 6 lbs and grew another inch taller. I had my first baby at 21. Only gained 30 lbs, but didn't lose all of the weight after. Kept about half of it. It didn't worry much even though…

I think I had my most embarrassing moment just recently AFTER I lost all of my weight. I had a lady come up to me and asked me how was the baby. I laughed and said "We'll he's four so I wouldn't call him a baby." She said she was referring to the one I just had, then argued with me for five minutes (or what seemed like…

Can't the office have any doc write a script based on your medical record? If you go to the same office that is. I know for mine that's all I have to do unless it is a controlled substance. Also, you can ask the pharmacy to request a refill. They may be willing to work with you on the Zoloft because you are supposed to…

My psychiatrist told me that bipolar people tend to have an issue with noncompliance with regards to meds. Sometimes there is such a long time between episodes that they think they are cured...until the next episode hits. There is a stigma associated with mental health issues and medications to help them. It can make…

There are anti-anxiety meds you take only when you need to. For example, benzos like clonazapam and lorazepam. They are short-intermediate acting drugs. I would think that if you aren't taking them everyday that there would be no weight effects, or at least the effects would be negligible.

Oh my gosh! I love Crepes with Nutella. I tried making almond flour Crepes but that was a disaster. Thanks for the ideas.

It sounds to me like you want to feel in control so that's why you created an elaborate plan. If this is the case, I would caution you to prepare yourself for some disappointment along the way. Weight loss isn't linear. While we can do the best we can to create the best possible circumstances, sometimes the scale doesn't…

LOL. I told my friend it was my gateway drug. I just start craving more and more carbs.
-
That sounds great! I'll have to try it. What do you have it on?

Interesting. Thank you. I didn't know that progesterone was an appetite stimulant and the serotonin release. Makes me feel much better about my week.

It depends on what you mean by tight. Do they look tight? Like "contents under pressure" tight? Or are they just snug? I have pants that fit now, but sometimes when I'm bloating badly they feel a bit snug. I still prefer to wear them than loose pants because I've found that the looser ones actually make me look bigger.…

Thanks everyone!

Oh, I suppose a common goal: to shape up or (dare I say it) "tone". I don't aim for defined muscles, maybe later. For now I just want to minimize the effects of gravity and look less flabby. Maybe have a flatter stomach, rounder butt, lifted breasts. I just read all the time about heavy lifting that it makes it seem like…

Thank you everyone! I'll look into those videos. I do have dumbbells so hopefully I'll be good for a while.

Thanks. I have to work up to those. :blushing: So body weight exercises are effective for fat loss then? How many reps/sets are good?
