  • OOPs too late No, not in an ambulance. HYE hit someone out of anger?
  • Yes. Three times. I take first aid classes for that reason. Choking, seizure and passing out cold. HYE Hit someone out of anger?
  • period? Did I say that. They go together right....haha
  • Since I had to look up Mad Max, that would be a no. But, I have avoided a bad crash before and it scared the *kitten* out of me. HYE Got caught by the police having s3x in your car?
  • I wanted to mention that if your blood sugars are dropping from eating fruit (and I am assuming you are checking your sugars with a monitor?) then you may need to adjust your medications. Really, you shouldn't have lows like that. Also, when you do eat a carb, balance it with a protein. They help each other to regulate…
  • When I took it my periods started coming every 30-40 days instead of every 3-6 months. For me that was pretty regular. I was also able to get pregnant (seeing fertility specialists, etc.) I had very bad side effects with it, hated it actually. I do recommend trying the Extended release if you are not already on it. Blood…
  • Welcome Amanda! You are in the right place. We all understand and are really in the same boat! What changes are you making? Are you working with a doctor? Nutritionist? What is your exercise plan?
  • Welcome ladies! Glad to see you posting. Barb, I replied to your other post. Lea, I am really glad you got a doctor that is gonna work with you. Yeah, we here understand needing help. PCOS sucks and people just are ignorant. They just don't understand. Keep us posted on your journey's okay!
  • All good advice! I do the same things. Important thing is try to make good choices, and don't skip the logging because you aren't sure, do an estimate and don't dwell on an every now and then thing. ;)
  • I am not a doctor, but hon, you need to see a doctor and have your A1C checked. Blood sugars over 400 indicate high A1C, I am guessing in the 9.0 to 10.0 range. Most likely you need medications to help you regulate your blood sugars and that will in turn help you to lose weight. Also, water doesn't make your blood sugars…
  • Not sure how to top Dragonwolf's post because it was very thorough. I also have PCOS with IR and Type 2. My nutritionist put me on 1500 calories and not really low carb because she said we need it for fuel. I have to eat a carb with a protein though to balance my blood sugars. I am also 'avoiding' but not eliminating…
  • You are in the right place!! Good luck on your weight loss and keep us posted!
  • Well, it worked out okay!! It is not weigh day, but the water weight came off, plus some! Don't get discouraged!!
  • Awe. I am sorry for your loss. I was making a huge batch of potato salad for my sister in law's bridal shower tomorrow. With 2 kids now the nights out are rare. We have a date night Sunday though. ;)
  • Well, my weigh in today wasn't as bad as I thought. Even though I had lost 11 and gained 6, today's weigh in left me with still a loss of 7 total, so up 1 pound from last week. Sigh. I guess the most important thing is that it is on the down swing and I am still motivated to keep going. One month down, the rest of my life…
  • Radiohead! Yes, my favorite by far. Second, Rage Against the Machine!! Third, GodSmack
  • I needed this tonight, so thank you!
  • I don't really crave salty as much as chocolate. I always said they should just put a chocolate bar on every box of tampons, the cravings are that real. I have an addiction to carbs though, so for me it is really all or nothing. I can't keep it in the house. I did have a couple of sugar free chocolate puddings this week…

  • Hi! They have extended release metformin now. Might be worth asking about. 1 pill that releases over 24 hours. I am also diabetic with insulin resistance and hated metformin so now I take a victoza shot once a day. Also a low dose birth control would probably help a great deal. Diet and exercise obviously help too. I think…
  • Well, PCOS plain sucks. It is just HARD to lose weight no matter how right we get it. The only other suggestion I have is that when you do eat a carb, be sure to eat it with protein. (like the apple and almond butter). Also, what type of work out do you do. You may be gaining muscle which is more dense than fat. Metformin…
  • Sunshine, sorry I didn't see this sooner. I am a metformin success story of sorts. I have 2 beautiful children from it. For me it took about 3 months to start seeing regular cycles, although still too long at 35-40 days. Eating a healthy diet and exercising will help too. I will try to send you a friend request. I feel bad…
  • Hi ladies. It is my weigh in day so I thought I would check in here. I lost 1.8 pounds this week. Frustrating because it was more earlier in the week, but it is almost time for my cycle and I am gaining water weight. I know the water weight is temporary and a loss is a loss....but it still irritates me that we work so hard…
  • Ugh. I always post the same time. lol So no.... and HYE fallen in love with someone that was off limits?
  • Does giving birth count? lol I thought I was going to die! But, answering the question, No. HYE fallen in love with someone that was off limits?
