  • Hi Molly. Thanks for the info but still not sure which figure to use for calories burned. When I look under MFP, it shows Fitbit calories burned, My Fitness Pal calories burned, and a fitbit calorie adjustment. Do I use one of these figures? • I ended January with Me: 9 The Binge: 6 Looking forward to this again in February.
  • Good luck everyone. Molly, where is the best place to get my "calories burned." Would it be from the Fitbit site or MFP?

  • Yay, I am finally ahead. As of last night, I went to bed without binging. Me: 7 The Binge: 6
  • Count me in!! I will post back on February 1st!
  • Oh boy; last night was terrible. It's the first time this year I haven't logged everything because I'm so ashamed of what I ate. Me: 6 The Binge: 6 Hoping to get ahead starting tonight. "Pudding1980" hang in there. 16 of those days are because of your hard work! "ryanhorn" I can understand the embarrassment being both good…
  • You are such an inspiration. Great job for keeping the binge at bay. It's so easy to binge in times of sorrow to try to fill a void but you are separating the two, beating the binge and getting stronger! Just want you to know that you are incredible while being there for so many others. Oh, and I guess I'm proud of myself…
  • Thanks Karla (gr33nslime). Since I started late, here are the past ten days. Me: 5 The binge: 5 The last 3 days have been me. Really love this challenge. Looking forward to doing it next month. Everyone is doing great!
  • Oh, yes, I did get it working. I heard rumor that the entire site was down or slow because of overwhelming amounts of new users but after a couple days, I either got used to it or it started working better. (Also, I read lots of information here on MFP on how to sync the two and how to best log info.)
  • I just saw this challenge and think it's a fabulous idea. I hope no one minds me starting so late in the month. I had two really great nights this past week but unfortunately, had only two. ME - 2 Binge - 5 If I passed out right now and fell asleep, I could count another one for me tonight but it's still up in the air. I…
  • Saw one of my best friends this week for lunch. We ate at Rocknies and split a gyro, making it not too bad, along with a side salad. Hard to do with so much good food around. I also made Sheperd's Pie for my husband and daughter and didn't eat any. Thankfully, because later I found out how many calories it actually had.…
  • I joined but forgot to post my weigh-in. I started at 199, on January 6th. I'm now 193. I'm trying to exercise more. Ohio weather makes it tough to run outside but I workout to DVD's indoors. My biggest change, however, is not consistent exercise - it's trying to adopt healthy eating habits. I lowered my daily goal (it was…
  • Molly, what an awesome poem and inspiring message you are sending to everyone. It's so nice to have a place to relate to others who are dealing with the same thing. Of all the stupid things to binge over, I chose last night to have midnight snacks because of my frustration with a new Fitbit I got for Christmas. I know I am…
  • I would love to visit Houston for a run but like someone else said, I don't like to run when I'm too hot. Here in Ohio, it was 11 degrees yesterday when I went for a run. I had to walk through the snow in my driveway to get to the paved road, where most of the snow was removed. I also think I would prefer the cold over the…
  • Thanks heybales: You said there will be no double counting from Runkeeper or Fitbit while recording my run. (I had them both on). Should I continue to record runs this way? I see you also say not to manually add aerobics. Part of the work-out is step-based but part of it is upper body only, and not moving my legs. That's…
  • Hello. I used to use Runkeeper before I got the Fitbit. I ran today and used Runkeeper (because I've been having trouble with the Fitbit) while running while also wearing the Fitbit. How can I tell if the information sent to MFP is correct? (I don't want my run counting twice the calories it should have.) I worked out…
  • Hello. I don't have near the workload that you do but I have two children at home (16 years and 11 months), am doing classes online (between part time and full time) and have five dogs. I am still nursing a baby who won't sleep through the night, so that adds to less time. I would love to have a busy mom for a friend and…
  • Hi. I would love to join. I have a lot more than 10 to lose but they need to come off so I would love to give it a try. My starting weight, as of two days ago, was 199.
  • Thanks eemmerson929. It really sounded overwhelming until I read it a second time. I guess I was reading the information wrong. Since the figure was in the "calories burned" box, I saw a -33 and thought it was doing something crazy. I still have questions, like why it changed yesterday's figure today and how will I be able…
  • Great job MadDogManor. I know it's tough logging when it's way over but that's the key to going further. I was frustrated last night when I went over so I ate a nutty bar at midnight. Horrible snack at a horrible time of night. I am, however, proud of myself for adding it to my diary this morning, making myself…
  • Thanks CM9178. It looks like everyone really likes the Fitbit, when it's working, but when it's not, there's really nothing to do but fight with it? I'm sorry you have so many problems with it. I seem to be having problems too but maybe once I get more familiar with it, I hope there will be fewer. Do you know why the…
  • Thanks Barbie. That helps. I have figured out how to force a sync (MFP said to put in a dummy workout, then delete it - or connect to the fitbit app on my phone to get it going) but will it eventually do it on it's own? Also, I walked over 3000 steps yesterday and the calories burned on MFP keeps changing. How can I tell…
  • I've just started using my Fitbit in the last week and have had numerous problems, including errors reading calories, not showing steps, not syncing, etc. Is it really worth it or is there a much easier, user-friendly tracker out there? I know for many people, it probably works great but I get sooooo frustrated, especially…

  • I would love to lose 10 lbs. by Valentine's Day. I have way more to lose but have to take off 10 before I can do the rest. Starting at 199 lbs.
  • Ran 2 miles today. I'm a little behind but want to catch back up. I'm going for 30 miles this month. 11-01-14 - 2 miles 11-05-14 - 1 mile 11-15-14 - 2 miles 25 miles to go
