When I first started - years ago - I was set to sedentary, but quickly changed it to lightly active and didn't log every dog walk or warm-up as exercise. Currently, I prefer going by a TDEE approach and don't even log my exercise.

I could make something similar for either less calories or more nutrition in about the same amount of time and for less money. It doesn't take long to stir fry some frozen veggies with shrimp, fish or chicken in some kind of sauce or marinade.

The bad news is that your body adapts just in time for the cold weather to set in. ;)

I love the song, but I can't hear it without thinking of the cat video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Awf45u6zrP0

And also this, because there's clearly something wrong with me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNBL5OMeuno But seriously, it's impossible to be in a bad mood while running to the Benny Hill theme.

This, with the "Whether we live or die today is already in the hands of the gods" intro. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGCwQxHf2GA

Today's run was at about 79% humidity. This is me and my puddle of sweat when I finished. ;)

It can go either way. My husband lived 3 hours away when we first met. As long as one or both of you are open to the idea of relocating at some point, it's not an issue. Granted, gas prices were a LOT lower when we met. :) On the flip side, my first boyfriend was away at college about 3 hours away most of the year during…

Expect to be a lot slower. And as long as it's not a thunderstorm or a heavy downpour, I love running in the rain. I sweat so much, it doesn't really matter. I'm just as drenched when I get home either way. ;)

Mostly Kohls, TJ Maxx/Marshalls and Ross. I got some tanks at Old Navy over the weekend at $5 each, but I was between sizes in their shorts. One size too big, the other just a little too small.

Well, that reaction's a bit... overboard to a simple question, don't you think? How am I supposed to know your entire back story? I'm sorry your family life has been difficult. But guess what? Everyone's is. In one way or another. You could have just said, "I understand where you're coming from, but I really want a treat…

Realize that you are more than the outside shell. Who you are doesn't change if you're a size smaller or less jiggly or can run faster or lift heavier. You're still the same you, and you are a valuable person. Appreciate your body for the things it can do. Think of eating right and exercise as a way to reward your body, a…

Why do you need to eat the same treat as your father? Have some fruit and chocolate if that's what you want, and let him have whatever he wants.

I had a colposcopy with a biopsy after an irregular pap smear. No need to be put to sleep. It didn't hurt at all. I got to watch the procedure on a monitor... kinda neat seeing your cervix. And that was about 20 years ago, so I'm sure it's even easier now.

I'll take losing inches over pounds any day. No one can see pounds unless they're looking at the number on your scale.
-
I'm not overly restrictive, so I don't get that hungry between meals, and if I really want fried chicken or a burger, I'll have fried chicken or a burger for my next meal or sometimes in the next few days.

I've also been at my goal, then gained thanks to apathy, depression and injuries, and now I'm losing it again. I'm with DemoraFairy and Joyfuljoy65. I was content with how I looked before I lost weight. I thought, "I look pretty good for my age." And I did. There was nothing wrong with how I looked. But now, I look at my…

First, make sure your definition of "healthy" isn't too strict. Second, make sure you're accurately logging your food. Sometimes we're eating more than we think. I mean... I've seen a single chicken breast that was actually four servings worth of meat. That bird had big hooters! ;) Then, if that's all taken care of, add…

If I weighed myself in the evening, during shark week, and my weight was only up .4 pound, I'd be doing the happy dance.

One donut is about 10% of my total calories. If I want one, there's no reason I can't fit one in.

I'm just glad my mom loved me enough to give me Lucky Charms, Booberry, Fruity Pebbles and Cap'n Crunch (with Crunchberries) instead of the deadly Fruit Loops.

That was me, too. I lost weight using MFP and doing mostly cardio about 4 years ago. I was thrilled with the results, but got interested in strength training, too. Over the next year and a half, I didn't do any intentional bulks or cuts, but there were times that I had more motivation, and less motivation, and times I ate…

I drink less than I used to, but I'm not giving it up completely. I mostly have it in the morning, then drink water the rest of the day. If I go out to eat, I get water, too, because it bothers me to pay more for one glass of soda than I would 2 two-liter bottles. I'd rather give a higher tip to the server.

Eating food is not a reason to feel guilty. Accidentally hitting someone in the head with a golf club is something to feel guilty about. Personally, I don't log my food on weekends or holidays. Or sometimes, just because I don't feel like it (like yesterday, when I had a late lunch/early dinner at a Chinese Buffet and…

Love it and drink it every night.

I'm also in the "start now" camp. But with only 10 pounds left to go, you might want a smaller deficit than 20%. Maybe 10-15%.

From what I can gather, very fast walking burns about the same amount of calories as running. http://walking.about.com/od/calorie1/a/calorieswalkrun.htm

The hardest part for me was switching off the "must make changes" mentality. I went from a couch potato to reasonably athletic. That should have been enough. But instead I wanted to keep improving. And while on the surface, striving to improve sounds fantastic, for me, it just fed my insecurities and made me feel obsessed.…

Mashed potatoes were a godsend after I had my wisdom teeth out.

If I had $500 to spend, I could buy a lot more pairs of running shoes than I could pairs of diamond earrings. That doesn't mean "not all dollars are created equal."
