I love you. Almost as much as I love Peanut Butter Pop Tarts.

I usually only carry a drink if it's really warm and/or if I'm going a long distance (which to me is over 10k). If I'm doing laps in the park by my house, I'll just leave a bottle on a bench and keep an eye on it. Sometimes I carry a bottle. I also have a running belt that fits a water bottle, but it's awkward. I think the…

@orchidee1987, I'm 5'5ish, but really short-waisted. So dresses and shirts fit best if they're petite.

I swear there's squirrels in my house that get to the foods before I get a chance to eat it.

Thank you. :) The weird thing with losing my brother is that I felt guilty that I didn't think I was grieving enough at the time. I wasn't terribly sad or weepy... I just felt like there was a void. It wasn't until a few months had gone by and I realized I wasn't eating right, stopped exercising, wasn't sleeping right,…

I work from home, so I don't have to worry about packing something to take to work. I usually have frozen veggies stir fried with shrimp, chicken or fish, with some kind of sauce or marinade. Sometimes I add half a serving of tortellini, since I can just chuck the frozen ones in with the veggies and not need to boil water…

I hate the idea of the "friend zone," like it's some mysterious penalty box you get put in for saying the wrong thing. If someone isn't interested in you, it's because of lack of chemistry and attraction, not because of anything you can (or even should) change about yourself.

I had pizza last night. And the leftovers for breakfast. Totally worth it.

200 calories can take me anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour, depending on what I'm doing.

Were you wearing clothes the night before? Weigh yourself at the same time of day, in the same clothes (or lack of clothes) under the same circumstances. Ideally, I weigh myself first thing after I've peed and pooped, before I've had breakfast.

I was out 6-8 weeks with a stress fracture in my fibula and had the same concern. Like you, I'd just lost about 30 pounds. I started off logging everything, then said, "Screw it." I played a lot of video games, did a lot of reading, self-medicated with candy bars, and ended up weighing about one or two pounds more. Then I…

I had trouble getting the motivation to go TO the gym, because I resented the time I wasted driving there and back, then would spend even more time at the gym to make the trip worthwhile. All said and done, it would take 2 or more hours out of my day. So I bought weights and quit the gym. I lift at home and run outside. I…

The only valid reason to avoid diet soda is if you have a bad reaction to it (bloating, headaches and I'd include cravings) or you don't like it.

Great progress!

The first time I saw myself nekkid in the 3 way mirror, I was shocked. I had no idea that was all going on back there. It was after I'd lost weight about 10 years ago (without strength training) and while my ribs showed in the front, I had ninja fat in the back. So frustrating. I'm glad I found out how to destroy it.

Depends on the reason for my anger. If it's something I can change, I try to resolve it. If it's more of a general FML type feeling, then I try to channel the energy I'd use being angry into something more productive, like running, lifting all the things, rearranging or repainting a room, weeding out my closet, etc. And…

What I found surprising using MFP is that it's not as hard as I always made it out to be. I used to cut calories TOO much. That was hard. Having a larger calorie goal (currently 1500 plus exercise calories, so normally around 17-1900 a day) isn't nearly as hard. I'd rather lose weight a little slower and have it feel…

A past eating disorder is a different than just not wanting to weigh yourself. Speak to your doctor about it. Find out if the doctor even thinks you need to lose weight.

Underestimating isn't lying. It's just a matter of not having all the information. You asked what the problem might be, and not weighing your food is likely to be the main problem. I love bagels. One of the brands of cinnamon raisin bagels I get is listed on the package as 150 calories. When I actually weigh it and compare…

I like them cut into small bits with chicken, pesto and ravioli, plus alfredo sauce if I have enough calories.

If I had to go to a gym to exercise, I'd hate all of it. I lift at home and run outdoors. I like how running makes me feel when I'm doing it (stress relief, wind in my hair, running races, etc.). I like how lifting makes me when I'm not doing it (being strong, injury prevention, perky bottom, etc.). So I do both.

I think a good first step would be a more attainable goal. 50 pounds in six months is doable... if you have 100 pounds to lose. You don't have that much to lose, and the last half of that is going to be slower to come off than the first half. How about aim for 30 pounds in six months? I also think you took the Tuff Love…

I can't consider anything under 250 calories to be a meal. I looked at your diary, and you're not even hitting 1000 calories most days. Give yourself a reasonable calorie goal and you can eat more interesting foods. I eat mostly chicken and fish with vegetables, but since I'm eating about 1800 calories a day, I can make…

I eat at a little bit more of a deficit during the week specifically so I can splurge a bit on the weekends. For instance, overall, I aim to lose about a half pound a week. Monday through Friday, I have my calories set to lose .7 pounds a week. Then weekends, I don't log my food at all. That might not work for everyone,…

Dreadmill. I only run outside. Even with winter weather in northeast PA, I still managed to run at least twice a week. As much as I hate the cold, I hate treadmills more.

Are you using a different scale? Even the same scale in a different location can show a different weight.
-
1. Make the decision to start. 2. Appropriate calorie deficit, logged accurately. 3. Didn't demonize any particular food. Nothing is off limits. 4. Regular exercise. 5. Regular rest days. 6. Learn to run and pace myself with C25k. 7. Strength training. 8. Focusing on measurements, how clothes fit, progress photos and…

First off, congrats on losing 100 pounds! That's amazing. Second, I don't think your stomach looks flabby. Third, what is there might be lose skin, not fat, and that might be something that just takes time to retract. Sometimes it doesn't completely go away, depending on age, genetics, etc. If you're happy with your…

I live in Northeast PA, and there's lot of beautiful trails and state parks but my favorite places are little trails that are close to home. These pics were taken less than a mile from my house.

I've seen bears (a mama and three cubs) while running, but they - thankfully - didn't see me. Loose dogs, too, but they don't really worry me. I just slow to a walk until I'm far enough away that they don't think I'm something fun to chase. Although there is one little apricot toy poodle that the owner walks on a 16 foot…
