Omg I posted the other week asking if anyone knew about this pain in my hip. I did more research online and figured out I might have the hip brusitis issue like you! I used to run 3-3.5 miles easily, but recently, I think starting in July or August my right side on my hip was hurting. I'm curious, is it something that goes…

Really I think you should give it a shot. Start training now, if you can't run the full amount of time right now then run what you can, then walk, then run. Go back and forth giving your self some walking time if running is too difficult. Don't look at this 5K as an awful reminder of the past, look at it as a chance to…

That's awesome! Congrats! I agree, it's what you see in the mirror that matters more than obsessing over a number. I'm aiming for desintegrating my love handles and belly rolls more than anything else. I WANT curve, not a 6 pack. I've told my boyfriend overbearing muscles on women just looks wrong, we should be slightly…

I too have the same issue. Seems it's crept into my diet more often recently. I think part of the problem is I've allowed myself to buy some bad foods (desserts) here and there and honestly I would be better off just quitting cold turkey. I was doing pretty well staying away from sweets the first two two months of MFP, but…

Wow, out of all the people here your story/advice for him sounds the most helpful. I think automatically writing a guy off based off job issues etc. is a poor excuse for not starting a relationship. You're right, the best people could be those many of us overlook.

Fresh fruits is a given, apples are in season right now so stocking up on those would be a good idea. I'd say something like granola bar, but watch the labels. I eat Nature Valley Honey and Oats bars, but I've noticed they're higher in sugar. Also consider having LIGHTLY salted nuts around.

Agreed!

How awesome! Congrats, keep up the good work! I've been logging and using MFP all together for 70 days and haven't hit 25 lbs. lost quite yet...

I just looked up the molasses. Sounds awesome, I think I might try it! Apparently it's got a lot of good side effects for your health and can be used as a sweetener instead of going for the "no calorie" sweetener.

That's awesome, looking great!! It really is a kick-start in motivation when I see others post before and afters on here! I'm ALMOST half way to my goal I can't wait to take another picture to see the difference between my before and halfway weight!

That's AMAZING! Huge difference! Glad you feel great about yourself and really made it a lifestyle change! Keep up the great work!! Happy Losing

haha! Oh, my English Bully doesn't stop at BOP, she doesn't understand when a cat says NO (hissing, spitting, growling). She thinks PLAY!? She's a special puppy.

haha! True! My boyfriend can typically detect when I'm going to start, I get emotional sometimes and my mood switches. He always asks, "Is it your cramper talking?!"

It's advertised as a medicine to relieve menstrual cramps and everything else that comes with being on your period. I'm sure any other medicine would work well enough (Excedrin, Aspirin) . I have to say, sometimes it seems to work better than your average Tylenol, but other times laying down with a heating pad is better.…

My bad, it doesn't haha! Just feels like it does. However, a natural muscle relaxer could be alcohol. Feeling a cramp? Drink something with alcohol-- or at least my boyfriend's mother suggested that to me a while back ;-).

Ok, so I've never smoked or anything but I get the feeling it's similar to the feeling I would get when wanting something SWEET. My boyfriend's sister used to smoke and she and her husband quit a while back. They said the only hankering they get is the oral fixation. The only advice I could give you is to keep sugar free…

I do admit, sometimes I'm honestly not affected by it. If I have REALLY bad cramps I feel it has no effect whatsoever! It's only when I have mild cramps that it makes me feel like this.
-
Doesn't that make you have to pee like crazy?? Every time I've drank coffee in the morning before working out I've noticed I run to the bathroom 4 times or more within 45 minutes or something!

Could be that you need to place it on a more even, hard surface when weighing yourself. Either that or it's really not a reliable scale. My boyfriend and I bought a scale from Walmart for $35 and it's probably the best scale I've ever had (it is digital). If you need to replace it consider looking at Wally-World. :-)

Oh wow! 75% of graduates jobless... that sucks! Well I'll consider looking at those places you've mentioned. I did try looking at Hobby at one point, I'll take a look at Bush, might be more opportunities. As for Telemundo, I think that'd be awesome to work there only bad part is I don't know Spanish :-/, would that matter…

Thanks y'all! I have gone to the center of no help (career center). Like I said, it's a small town, small college, they don't have much to offer as far as 'connections' go. I'll continue looking as much as I can stand it, I feel like I've made losing weight my full-time career, now if only I could be paid by the pound…

Welcome! It's already been winter there?! It's fall, going into winter sometime soon here in the U.S. Good luck and happy losing! Feel free to add me for support!

hahaha! ok, sorry this has nothing to do with your quote, I only quoted you because I LOVE your Garfield comic strip on your signature!!

Since you said he walks a lot at work then that's something that would have been taken into consideration when he first created his account. Go back to the settings area in his account and look at which "label" he falls under. You might be considered "sedentary" (spend most of the day sitting, limited walking etc), while…

Agreed!! I've made it a habit to measure every two weeks and it really does help me see my progress. I've had times where I didn't lose as much as I've wanted to but then measured and found out I was progressing after all. Clothing is the best scale of all, it really says a lot when you get into a pair of shorts that once…

Wow, thanks for the article. My boyfriend and I already do some of the things suggested such as buying frozen veggies, generic brand items and buying in bulk (sometimes). I'd have to say, now that I'm an avid user of MFP I am watching the labels more than I used to. I've noticed some generic brand items CAN have more…

Wow, so simple and looks delicious! I would have never thought of that! I bake/cook a lot and I think I tend to over think things in the kitchen, it's the simple ideas that come out delicious!

Well, I know this might be a bit pricey but I have the Polar FT4 HRM. It's really good! It's water resistant (can wear it in the water if you're a swimmer), shows calories burned, timer, allows for setting your heart rate zone etc. Take a look at Amazon.com. If you want something cheaper take a look at the reviews by…
