You can sync your fitbit with MFP.

Vanity sizing for sure. I have lived for a very long time and have clothes to prove it. My wedding dress in 1975 was a size 12. I was 120# Now I am wearing a size 10 @ 130#. I told my sister I never wore a size 10 in my life. I skipped right by that size. Medium size shirts and was always a large back then.

You do not have to weigh your food. I just used standard measuring cups/spoons, and got very good at estimating. I had no problems losing weight. I lost over 1/2 of my current body weight, and have maintained the loss for over 2-1/2 years now. If you are not losing weight, measuring and/or weighing your food is pretty…

I have been on MFP for over 4 years. Lost over 1/2 of my current body weight. The past 2-1/2 years on maintenance. I have weighed myself every morning since I began. It helps keep me focused on my eating habits and goals. It is not for everyone, but works for me.

You look fantastic! Congratulations on your success!

Ignore the ignorant, that is all you can do. It isn't just teens that do this. Adults should know better, but some people never mature. You know you are doing what is right for you. Remember, there are legions of us out there, with what society views as "imperfect" bodies, moving more to get ourselves healthier. Try not to…

I do, but I prep everything that goes into the salad and package it individually to assemble when I am going to eat the salad. I use a salad spinner to make sure the greens are very dry before storing them in my refrigerator crisper.

I have been on maintenance since November 2013. I think it is awesome that people can maintain without logging. I can't. I know logging will be my fate for life in order for me to keep maintaining. For me, it is a slippery slope, one I do not intend on sliding down. I'll be 65 in September, and I will not go back to being…

Wow! Your hard work is very apparent! You look amazing. You must be thrilled with your success. Congrats!

Awesome! I love bread, and did not give it ups. Lost over 1/2 of my current body weight and have kept it off for over 2-1/2 years, eating all foods in moderation and staying within my calorie budget. I truly do not think that I would have been able to lose the weight and have kept it off eliminating foods. We each have to…

I use my fitbit Charge HR to motivate me to move more. I like seeing the numbers I receive. I lost 95% of the weight I lost before I had a fitbit. It is a device that motivates me. I monitor my food/drink intake the same as I have been doing for over 4 years now (over 2 years of that time on maintenance). I move more, and…

Umm, don't wash your hair. Easy peasy.

It is a "no brainer". Of course get your child vaccinated. It is recommended for both females and males. How would you feel if your child grew up and had to suffer the consequences for your decision. There is a public service commercial playing on tv about this right now. Get it done. The protection far out weighs the risk.

Poached egg on a toasted, light English muffin, topped with chia seeds. Sometimes a slice of Canadian bacon too.

Another no. A gimmick and may be harmful to some people. Stick with eating less calories than you burn. It works.

I miss eating whatever I want, whenever I want it. I love food! That is the reason I became morbidly obese. However, I like being a normal weight more than I miss overeating everything, so I will keep on paying attention to portion control and staying within my maintenance calories. All foods in moderation is working for…

No. It is your body, your health, your choices. Whatever works for you is the right thing to eat or not eat. There is no wrong or right way, only the way that works.

^This is not true. Starvation mode is a myth. There are no guarantees, that losing weight slowly and consistently, will help avoid gaining the weight back. Everything I read says that over 85% of the people that lose weight (no matter how they lose it, or how fast or slowly they lose) gain it all back, sometimes gaining…

kasminchu, Is the dry teriyaki mix something commercial? I would be really interested in getting some of this, or do you make it yourself?

You should definitely be losing weight, if your figures are accurate. I think it is time to see your health care professional to rule out any medical reason why you are not losing weight.

Eating clean may give "YOU" better results faster, but for me it was all about moderation in all foods. As CharlieBeans said, "what is clean eating?" No clear definition of such a phenomena. All anyone can do is tell what works/worked for each of us. This may or may not be true for anyone else. Finding our own way, by…

I bought into that myth about losing weight over 40 and consequently did not even seriously try until I was 60 and found this site. I went on to lose over 1/2 of my current body weight and have kept it off for over 2-1/2 years now. It isn't easy at any age, but I don't believe that age hindered my loss in the least. I did…

Happy birthday

Not a thing. I lost over 1/2 of my current body weight and have kept it off for over 2-1/2 years, eating all foods in moderation, and portion control. I intend to keep this up for the rest of my life, as it is working so far, why change?
-
Congratulations! You look gorgeous! One of the most amazing transformations I have seen on MFP in the 4 years I have been here.

Quinoa. Google it. Lots of recipes. You can serve it hot or cold. Sweet or savory. Lots of options.

Moderation is key to long term maintenance. What plans do you have in place once your goals are met? Learning moderation of all foods while losing means no transition into introducing them back into your diet when you reach maintenance. Much easier, in my opinion. JW, cuz I have lost over 1/2 of my current body weight and…
