I wouldn't worry about it. You are on vacation, just enjoy the time away. Make mostly healthy choices and evaluate when you get home. It you gain, cut some calories and/or increase activity. If you maintain or lose, it is all good B) Enjoy yourself!

Awesome accomplishment! It is an amazing commitment! Jealousy is the motivating force of negative comments. Looks like you are handling them well. Best wishes and continued success to you! Well done!

Some of us can be successful using measuring cups & spoons and eye balling foods. I managed to lose a lot of weight this way and have kept it off for over 2-1/2 years now. If you are not losing weight you need to be sure about EVERYTHING (even the "just a little tastes") that you are eating and drinking. Use a food scale…

I am in bed by 7:30 or 8, but I get up very early and go to the gym before work. I work long hours and have a 45 minute commute one way. Plus I am old, and DH works 2pm to 10pm, so no one to answer to except our 2 dogs and they go to bed too.

No. When you reach your goal weight, you will start on maintenance. When we reach that point, some of us start to up our calories by 100 at a time. I lost consuming 1200/day. I have been on maintenance for 2-1/2 years and am consuming around 1800 calories per day. Many things will enter into reaching the number of calories…

I am not skinny. 5'2-3/4" I have been maintaining @ around 130 for 2-1/2 years. High end of normal range, I wanted to get to the lower end of normal to have some cushion, but it was not to be. Perfectly happy here. I got down to 125 for about 2 minutes, but discovered my body likes being at 130, and decided I was on…

I love avocado with an egg baked in the middle and a few drops of sriracha. Going to give it a try mixed into oatmeal.

You have to remember this is the internet. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. People are conned daily, by gimmicks, quick fixes, bogus products etc, etc, etc. Sometimes, for those of us that have been here for a long time, these subjects get very repetitive. For the most part, people here are extremely supportive and…

Chia seeds, cinnamon, sliced almonds (toasted), and topped with blueberries. Unsweetened almond milk.

Like others have said, if you are still losing, you are not eating @ maintenance. Up your calories and/or lower your exercise time

^This. To lose weight, eat less calories than you burn. All food in moderation, including sugar.
-
I am all for any way you can accomplish your goals. It is not easy for anyone to lose and maintain weight loss, no matter what route you take to get there. Most of us have real lessons to learn, and teach ourselves about how to become, and stay at a healthy weight. The reason I did it without any type or surgery is because…

OP, you are none the those things. You are a beautiful, young woman and definitely not fat. You will be a beautiful bride and your groom loves you, that is all that matters. If you would like to lose a few pounds before the big day, go for it, you can do it. Take the pictures, you will be a beautiful bride. Congrats & best…

No, I don't see jowls. A see a pretty woman, who deserves a little more understanding and kindness from her spouse. Glad your mother told him to treat you better. You deserve it!

Pretty much ate anything I wanted while losing, and am still eating anything I want, I can just eat more. I don't go out of my way to eat desserts, but I will take a bite or two. Same with chips and fries.

Fitbits don't record all your steps when pushing a shopping cart either. If I remember, I put mine in my pocket, counts them in my pocket.

^^ or, maybe he is feeling insecure about the newer, sexier you. Congrats on the loss!

We can see what you accomplished, and many of us are totally awed by what you have done! It is truly an amazing feat, not many would even be able to attempt it. MFP stats are general, nothing available for the athletes that are major competitors, with no consideration for weather, terrain, endurance etc. Congrats!

Another vote against cleanse. Your body cleanses its self naturally. A total waste of time and money and it is just a gimmick. There are not quick fixes or jump starts. Eat less calories than you burn. Weigh, measure and log everything you eat and drink and your exercise. That is it. Do it and success is yours.

Mayo clinic, and other experts, say most people get enough water from the food and beverages they consume. Thirst is an indicator of the need for water. There are things to take into consideration too, like, activity level, climate etc.

Not nice at all. Sounds like a good solution putting him in the donation bin, LOL My DH was the opposite, I had the boxes packed and stacked to go to Goodwill for 18 months before I actually took them to Goodwill. I kept on telling him, what if I gain back all that weight and have to buy new clothes.

I never eat them warm either. Eggs cooked in the microwave (I only do poached) need to have the yolk pierced before cooking as they explode. If you want it warmed up, I would suggest putting it in warm water for a few minutes. Yeah, it makes a real mess in your microwave.

Well done! You look fantastic!

^^same for me. My activity is mostly step based as well. I have a Fitbit Charge HR. I really like it and it does a fantastic job for my purposes. It does have the heart rate monitor and that is kind of a fun statistic to have, but not crucial for me. When I began, my resting heart rate was about 70. Now, it is in the upper…

Wow. Awesome accomplishment. MFP is way off on stats, imho. Beautiful ride, too bad it was so hot. How do you feel today?
-
The alternative. I will never go back to where I was before, morbidly obese. I have been maintaining at around 130# for 31 months today.
-
^This. One day does not make much of a difference. It is overeating consistently that will result in gaining weight. If you go back to eating at a calorie deficit, you will continue to lose.
-
Losing weight is all about eating less calories than you burn. If you overeat any food, you will gain weight. Moderation and portion control are key. Weigh, measure, and log everything you eat and drink. For most people with no existing health issues, if you do this accurately and honestly and eat less calories than you…

Not if you are within your calorie limit.

^Awesome! Sustainability is what will serve us best in the long term! Losing is only part of the battle. We need to think ahead to what will work for us in the long term. I have been on MFP for over 4 years now. Lost over 1/2 of my current body weight, and have been @ maintenance for over 2-1/2 years. The firs two months…
