Omg. Eat the bacon!! I could not live without bacon. Awesome source of protein and fat! And soooooo delicious.

I don't understand why everyone thinks you will die eating at 1200cals. If you prefer to eat at 1400cals or whatever that's fine, but a lot of us have done it at 1200cals as well. Do what you can!

I know what you mean! I'm pretty sure the information was skimmed over, IF SO. It was definitely not explained in a way it would have deserved to be. I remember my mom trying to lose weight counting points on weight watchers, then when I started out trying to lose weight at 13-14 years old I remember deciding to ''eat…

Omg this actually sounds yummy! Gotta try that :) Nice way to sneak in some extra protein!

I think what she means is that she is busting her calories at that point in the day. So there is a few solutions to this problem: 1. Stop eating at 6PM 2. Start eating later in the day 3. Eating less calories earlier in the day so you have some wiggle room in the evening I personally use the 2nd tip the most. I usually…

Congratulations on your loss so far! That's is truly amazing! :) Indeed, how did you lose the first 80lbs? Good luck on your journey, I'm sure you will be at your goal weight in no time!

I do the same! :)

Not at all! :)

Glad to see that you have a better judgement then to fall for these useless and dangerous tips! Slow and steady wins the race ;)

It is a shame for a someone to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and the strength of which their body is capable of.

I have found that I used to obsess over quality over quantity. Now, I'm not saying that quality doesn't matter, it's important for your health. But weight loss is achieved through a calorie deficit. I have lost 27lbs so far, with 25lbs to go. I think this has also teached me how I will be maintaining (eating at TDEE). Good…

I usually eat 2-4 meals a day, and I prefer to eat bigger meals as well. I tried the 6-8 small meals a day, and it made me obsessed with food because I was always worrying about the next meal. I also didn't feel full, EVER. And meal prepping in those amounts is tedious. I have found that it's easier for me to stick to my…

What's the documentary about? That not all calories are equal? Or that you can eat anything you want because it's all about CICO? Personally, I believe that weight loss depends on a calorie deficit, and health is gained if you eat nutritious food. And also, ''bad'' foods are nutritious....... for the soul. ;D

When I started out my journey, I noticed that one really bad habit I had was my 3-4 coffees a day. I used to get Tim Horton's large double double, which racks up 300cals each. So I had to stop having it. When I make my coffee at home with 2 tbsp of cream and sugar it amounts to 62cals. I still occasionally have my Timmies,…

I have a scale I got from the pharmacy. It was about $30 and it records your weight, body fat, muscle mass, bone density and water retention. It's been working well for me :) And I found it to be really consistant as well with the numbers it gave me.

Just fit it into your calories! :) Definitely have the cake and enjoy the night with your friends and family. After all, we're doing this to improve our quality of life. Don't deprive yourself of the small things, they matter!!

Well you can see results in 4-5 weeks, but probably not what you are expecting. It's a process! Just take it one day at a time and make sure that you keep striving for your goals and you will get where you want to be. Good luck!

It took me about 15lbs before I could really tell. At 20lbs lost people started noticing!

Like you said, it is hard when you re-introduce these foods. For me, it took a good 2-4 weeks and a hell of a face plant to find a balance. But the fact that I had already lost 12lbs helped me hang in there until I was able to gain somewhat of self-control. So it might not have prepared me to face these foods, but it did…

Also, just a tip for you since you're starting out... I set my calorie goal at maintenance. When you enter your sex, age, height and activity level, you can chose the goal (1lbs/week, 2lbs/week, maintenance, gain). If you set it to maintain, that will be the number of calories that you can eat everyday without gaining…

I eat 1200cals per day and I have lost weight just fine. I do take breaks sometimes on the weekend (eating at maintenance, TDEE). If you are able to do it, why not? It is personnal in my opinion, nobody ever starved eating 1200cals. I think that protein shakes are a great way to boost your protein intake, which helps…

You look amazing! So inspiring ♥ What did you do to lose the weight? :)
-
Yes I do, but I never had a problem overdoing it with condiments. I think that especially when I watch what I eat, I have to have it so that I can enjoy the foods I eat that much more. It's just important to be aware and fit it into your day. I haven't even thought about it twice! MFP helps you to see what habits you have…

I saw it after indeed.

At my belly and sides. My wake up call for this weight loss was when I noticed that my legs and butt didn't look good anymore... When you're best feature goes to **** you know you've gone too far! In 23lbs I have improved drastically, to my eyes anyway. The cellulite on my legs and butt has improved so much, and my belly…

Omg I've read some of the posts... and this went downhill. I had not read about the 40lbs in a month loss while fasting low carb... Anyway. To each their own...

Just a fun fact! My TDEE used to be 2200cals when I started at 183lbs, so it's making it that much harder (longer, actually) to lose weight. It's part of the game though...
