Met w/ my Health Coach (HC). Tanita scale showed same results, except I gained 0.5 lb. water. No doubt from the salty Asian chicken take out dinner last night. She said we're not even going to look at yesterday, just forget about it. What a Relief! Overall, I'm doing very well. Really nailed it on the exercise and…

Wonderful Wednesday Everyone. Thank you all for sharing the beautiful pictures, awesome quotes and fantastic result charts! This is a truly inspiring group. Thanks for the support and motivation about staying on track despite my slip yesterday. It was clearly the Asian chicken take out dinner that was way off plan. I have…

Hello Ladies. Hope everyone is having a great week! Well, I blew my food goals today. Decided to be brutally honest by accurately logging my exact intake today and admitting the real truth here. Not making excuses, just honestly sharing my experience today. I woke up and had a really bad sinus headache all day. Instead of…

Hi. Maybe you are not carb sensitive. I cut way back on carbs, but the scale did not budge. Then did a DNA test which validated I'm not carb sensitive. Instead, I need a pretty close balance of % on carbs and proteins, with lower fat %. So, now I watch my % and keep the fat grams lower. Perhaps this will help. Best of luck…

Hey, Kate. Thank you for helping me to understand my friend better. You (and others here) are right about a person needing to admit they have a problem and that they have to want to change. I hope he finds a solution. I can really relate to your post about not eating breakfast and also not eating all day. In my case, I…

Pip, You and hubby are so very cute together. The Puget Sound drink looks great. Do I see ice cream?! What's in that drink?

Barbie, BRAVO for your friend. That's amazing about her 100 lb. weight reduction. I'm sure it was and still is really tough. She has fantastic dedication. Great to hear there are some people who are able to find and stick with solutions. Thanks

Tanita scale at doctor's office said I shed 5.5 lbs. This was 5 lbs. of fat and only 0.5 muscle. My water levels were pretty good and consistent on both readings. Scale at home showed -6.2. Anyway, decided to allow myself to feel really good about my new healthy lifestyle, doing lots of walking and releasing what I did. Am…

Grandmallie, Sounds like Hubby needs to plan and purchase groceries one time. Might give him a reality check on how hard you try to be cost-effective, in the midst of current high prices!

Thank you to all who replied about my really obese guy friend. You've confirmed that HE has to want it and DO it. I can't do it for him no matter how badly I want him to be healthy. Even though he has ASKED for my help and I wait for him to bring up the subject, I'm no longer willing to offer solutions (because its way too…

Pip - Fabulous dogs you have! Looks like great fun. :) Also noticed the cute yorkies in the background, since I have a DY myself.

Adding Texas to the list of countries was meant as a friendly joke. At one time we were our own country! :) - Nancy from Cowtown (FW, TX)

Hope you're all having a Super Sunday! Aubrey (yorkie) and I went for a wonderful morning walk, including walking around our new on-site dog park. Walked back, checked the time on my phone. Discovered we walked twice as long as I had thought. B) Unfortunately, the scale barely moved this week despite staying exactly on…

Happy Saturday, Everyone. I'm new and glad to have found such an awesome group here! Just need to vent my frustration about trying to help a guy friend. He is morbidly obese at 5'9" and nearly 400 lbs. He used to be 500 lbs. and said he got 'down to about 300 lbs.' a few years ago when his wife divorced him,…

Hi Aliza. You may want to pre-plan your food by identifying ahead of time what you'll eat during the Sabbath. You can give yourself a couple of healthy choices for each meal and snack so it doesn't get too boring. Then use this pre-printed list during each Sabbath throughout the year. Good luck!
