i agree with above CROCKPOT comment.... last Sunday i put a beef roast in crock and let it cook all day long. After eating it a few times, i was OVER it and then made the leftover meat into Veggie Bean Stew ( i saved recipe in database...PM me if interested) and it's 109 calories per cup. I used some crushed red pepper…

9 inches from your waist??!! um, that ROCKS! kudos:)

you should NEVER go below 1200 calories per day regardless of what you are trying to accomplish. Your body needs the nutrients to function properly behind the scenes!! Under the goals tab, you should set your calorie intake to "maintenance"... and that's around how much you should be consuming daily...... all habits are…

i'm starving just by LOOKING at your menu! I tried to look at your diary, but it's locked. Curious to know what your calories are set at? If you don't add protein and fiber to each meal, you'll ALWAYS feel hungry. Think eggs for breakfast, chicken for lunch, fish or lean beef/pork for dinner.............. complex carbs…

i dont really have anything to say about the comfort food, but did want to add that i have fallen off the wagon a few times. I've decided that WHEN (not if) i get to my target weight, i'm probably still going to need MFP for a long time, maybe forever. I've also decided that i will continue to weigh in regularly once i hit…

FANTASTIC WORK!!! and lmao at #10.... way to go papa!!

Nix the chips and cookies, and if you're using white bread get rid of that too..... simple carbs digest super fast and make you feel hungry all day long..................................... protein and fiber are the macronutrients that will keep you feeling fuller longer.... if you must eat carbs, go for whole…

One of my favorite scenes in that movie.... HAVE FUN!!

use the search function for 'Mug Cinnamon Bread'...................it's awesome and you can vary it. i like it with fried eggs on top, OR peanut butter. Low carb and high fiber too.

I'm not a night-shifter, but i'm often up later than midnight which is technically a new day, but i log from the time i wake up till the time i go to bed. You could do the same, regardless of whether you're eating breakfast at 6 in the evening or dinner at 8 in the morning...... i'd say just log from time you start your…

Im LAUGHING OUT LOUD!!! Guilty.....

when i was doing really well (not the last 2 weeks...UGH), i would have: breakfast- 1 egg, 2 pieces of light toast (45 cal each slice), and 2 jimmy dean turkey sausage patties lunch- 4oz. grilled chicken with some kind of veggie snacks- light wheat crackers with laughing cow cheese or 3-4 cups popcorn dinner- more grilled…

Friend me! i've recently gained back 2 pounds and finding it very hard to get back into it, but i'm forcing myself!! it'll start getting easier after you've been back in it for a week or so.............. and i can only suggest ignoring your roommates. It must be difficult to try to accomplish something that nobody else is…

iplayoutside.... i basically wanted to know if i should continue the strength/weight training, or if i should switch up to straight cardio until i reached goal weight (at which point i would be @maintenance calories and not a deficit), But the info i'm getting is not that far off of what i previously believed: weight…

THANK YOU!! Then i'll continue doing what i'm doing... sometimes the wealth of information is a bit much to comprehend. I believe in keeping it simple...................... =0)

to clarify: i know muscle helps you burn calories, so i thought it was possible to build muscle through strength training, while at the same time being in a calorie deficit....

i USED to eat my kids' leftovers and that was one of many contributing factors to my weight gain! I do cook them a meal every night, but i don't always eat the same thing. I have four (3 boys, 1 girl) children ranging from 2 to 14 years of age, and they eat ALOT! So on the nights when we have spaghetti, tacos, or…

try spiking your calories for a day (or two max), then go back to your normal calorie count................

after 4 children, i have stretch marks everywhere.... they will fade over time, maybe a little faster with vitamin E, but they will never go away.............sorry, no better answer. There's always laser surgery if you can afford it!!

i saved this recipe a couple weeks ago, and made it for the first time Tuesday morning at work. I LOVE IT!!! i pre-measure the dry ingredients at night, then add the egg and applesauce when i get to work and in less than 2 minutes, i have a GREAT base for my overeasy egg. YUM!! Appreciate your sharing this.................

can't wait to see what others post on this thread... a favorite of mine is a big bowl of spring mix or field greens, topped by 1 pouch of Tuna Creations Lemon-Pepper Tuna......... it's so flavorful, i don't need any dressing at all................ sometimes i'll add in some red or yellow bell peppers strips.

YOU CAN ADD ME! i have no broken ankle and i STILL struggle with my motivation. i go through surges where i'm "on it", then fall back. this site helps me to stay on track.........it's become a daily ritual to log on here....

Just an idea.............since you can't have a stove in the dorm, check out your local grocery stores salad bar. They almost always have boiled eggs....

monounsaturated fat is GOOD FOR YOUR BODY! It helps lower bad cholesterol and is good for your heart.... like the avocados you're already eating, olive oil (as mentioned above), any nuts, olives, flax seed or oil, peanut butter.... even dark chocolate. I don't know how true this is, but studies claim that eating a diet…
