  • Does it count if my youngest is going to be 4 on June 4th? If so, then count me in too!
  • Dark chocolate chips for me...tricks my brain to thinking I am getting more of a treat when I place my hand to my mouth so many times eating them. Just one square of chocolate doesn't trick my mind.
  • Realizing I had to reach for the size 18's last time I thought I would buy a pair of jeans, I just continued to stuff my fat butt into the 16's I had. Muffin top be damned, I refuse to buy a bigger size. My 4 year old daughter telling me I was fat really motivated me. I want her to grow up healthy and feeling good about…
  • They don't work, I wish they did as I have purchased every single one on the market. I really think that when I bought them I would start a regular healthy diet too and the weight loss I saw was from my hard work, not the pill I was taking. For some people I think diet supplements have a placebo effect
  • My kids ask for this one... 1lb ground turkey green onion (we like alot, add to your preference) 1/2 c chopped mushroom Mrs. Dash (any flavor, season to taste, my family likes lots of flavor, I use rotissere chicken or savory usually) Mix ingredients in bowl, form patties and cook over med heat in pan lightly coated in…
  • My scale and I just had a nasty incident the other day...have decided to just measure from now on. I am not after a set number on the scale anyway, I am aiming for a size 10 jeans, since I have not seen that size for the better part of a decade I don't really know what weight I have to be at to to fit into them.
  • I work 2nd shift and my day ends around 1am so I eat up until about 2-3 hours before bed. I don't sleep well if I eat close to bed, keep reading it is because the food makes my blood sugar go nutso and effects sleep?
  • I used to have a friend ( notice I said used to ) that would always tell me " You would be so pretty if only you were not so fat." I spent years wanting to punch her in the face for that.
  • I am new too and seem to do good for about the first 6 weeks then say screw it and give up. Been on here only a week and hope it is the "lost" tool I need to keep myself on track. Good job on losing already...I am scared of my scale and have not weighed in yet. I think I am going to change my goal to inches lost anyway.…
  • When you feel good about yourself it shows to everyone around you and guys are attracted to that confidence. If they don't like your looks then that is their problem and you are worth better!
  • When I have those days, I tell myself I can have that food as soon as I walk around my block. My block is 5 miles. On days where I really want that food, I do it, I go for the 5 mile walk and by the time I am back to my house I feel better emotionally and end up not wanting to ruin my day by eating crappy. My other secret…
  • I go for dark chocolate chips to nibble when I need to satisfy the cravings. I also have to talk myself into getting up and excercising. I find the food cravings I can curb with drinking lots of water and a few chocolate chips. I have issues with fatigue and wanting to sleep 14 hours a day during that time of the month. I…
  • I have the same problem and have just come to realize that breakfast will be eaten but it may be an hour or two after I get up before I can stomach some food.
  • I never notice any changes on myself either. It is when others start to notice things that I finally feel like the hard work is paying off. I mean little things such as a friend noticing that my jeans look saggy in the butt or trying on that pair of shorts I want to wear and being able to pull them over the hips this…
  • To the post about Jehovahs Witnesses.... Try having a Mother-in-law who knows that you politely decline the invitation to do bible studies (for the last 15 years) but still hounds your front door with her friends and WatchTowers, that is SCARY. I will stand at the front door and wave out the window but will not open the…
  • Getting my hands "icky" while eating...I know really dumb and I don't eat ribs. Other women...lets face it, we can be a rough bunch. Answering the phone at work and seeing my home address pop up on my screen...I am a 911 operator.
  • I am 5'5 , starting at 208 and don't go by what weight I want to be at. For me it is feeling comfortable in my clothes. Once apon a time I was 150 and was constantly told I looked sickly. I just want to be able to buy clothes at a store that is not deemed "plus size". Currently a size 16 jeans, goal is size 10 jeans. I am…
