Yup, it was Activia. Here's an interesting article about the whole thing, and some other foods/brands whose claims one should watch out for: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/15/business/15food.html?_r=1

FISH! Ugh. So nasty.

Here is the recipe I use: http://thepioneerwoman.com/tasty-kitchen/recipes/appetizers-and-snacks/simple-and-spectacular-homemade-hummus/

Oh, man...my favorites are everything they sell! No, really...I don't remember ever being disappointed by anything I've tried there! But to be more helpful, my real favs are their: Vegetarian corn dogs Teriyaki flavored marinated tofu Persian cucumbers Dried Montmorency cherries Sesame honey cashews Caribbean Fruit Floes…

One of the best hamburgers I ever had was made with buffalo. Mmmm mmm!

You, my dear, are brilliant. My idea of a "no-brainer lunch" is usually a portion of whatever leftovers I have kicking around in the fridge. But I LOVE this idea. I might even be able to DO this. I'm usually so disorganized when it comes to things like meal planning. But this, even I could do.

Not an exact recipe, but you can adjust the proportions to your tastes/needs: Dump the chicken breasts in a slow-cooker/Crock pot with enough of your favorite salsa to cover the breasts fully. Cook on high 4 hours. Shred the chicken together with the salsa and mix it with low-fat or fat-free cream cheese. Use the mixture…

My favorite way to eat avocado is also the simplest "recipe" you ever did see. Halve the avocado, scoop out the flesh, mash it up with a tiny bit of salt and lemon juice to taste, and spread on freshly toasted multi-grain bread. Delicious, healthy, and very fresh and light tasting...perfect for a simple breakfast on a hot…

Mmm! This sounds like a great replacement for the "real thing." And yeah, it sure is a Southern thing! Sandwiches of pimento cheese on Wonder bread are a fixture at every one of my family gatherings!

Trader Joe's Fruit Floes. More a popsicle than actual creamy ice cream, but the Caribbean flavor (my fav) is only 80 calories each, and they're sweet, cold and delish! Actual chunks of fruit frozen right in, too.

Yes, I use a list...I even organize the items on the list in order of where they appear in the store, so I'm not constantly backtracking because I forgot to get something in the deli case, or something like that! But what I haven't ever done is plan out my meals ahead of time. But a friend of mine has a great way of going…

Asparagus, leek, green peas, and lemon juice! Delicious and very light and fresh tasting. Perfect for spring!

Dolmades are stuffed grape leaves! Yummy Greek recipe! I was going to suggest some nice vegetarian spring rolls! Just get the won-ton or spring roll wrappers; slice up carrots, cucumber, red bell pepper, and avocado into matchstick shapes; add some bean sprouts and cilantro; wrap them all up and seal the edges with a bit…

Great tip! How does leaving out all the tahini affect the consistency? Do you find that you need to add more liquid to get it smooth enough?

This Spinach and Feta Hummus is pretty tasty, and a bit different! Plus you get all those lovely nutrients from the spinach! 3 cups chickpeas (or 2 15.5 oz cans, drained, and liquid reserved) 1 1/2 cup fresh spinach 8 oz feta cheese 1/3 cups olive oil 5 tablespoons lemon juice 4 tablespoons tahini 2 tablespoons red pepper…

You could go to your public library and use their computer stations to type up your favorite recipes and print 'em out. (I'm a librarian, so my suggestions will often include "go to the library" as one of the steps, ha!) That said, this is what I do, too. I have a really nice recipe binder that was a gift and came complete…

I love 101cookbooks.com. It's a food/cooking blog, more than a recipe site per se. But the blog author writes lovely posts about each recipe, her food photography is top-notch, and the recipes themselves are all focused on natural, healthy, whole foods.

My husband swears by his Vitamix! That's all I can offer, because we've never used the Blendtec. But he uses that thing for all kinds of smoothies and it works wonderfully.
