Some people say on non lifting days. I personally do it right afterwards. I do a type of 5x5 myself and immediately after i do my cardio.

Yes since your goal is to loose weight you MUST eat at a calorie deficit. It doesn't matter if you workout you will not loose weight if you are not at a calorie deficit. The best way to loose weight is to incorporate a progressive lifting program. Something that gets progressively heavier such as Strong lift 5x5. Lifting…

Anywhere from 4.5 to 7 hours a week.

I drink a cup of coffee for pre-workout. I've tried C4 and I still prefer coffee, cheaper than buying pre-workout in my opinion.

Candy and soda, I have a sweet tooth.

You don't need to do a full body workout as many days as possible that leads to burning yourself out. Take a look as some basic full body workouts such as the Strong lift 5x5. You only workout 3 days a week and it is one of the best workout programs you can follow. It is the first workout I recommend to anyone looking to…

IIFYM works with healthy food as well. As long as you are coming close to what your macros should be your fine.

Everyone has said it. Avoid the smith machine like the plague.

Big muscles come from heavy weight lifting plus a calorie surplus. More protein does not equal bigger muscles, most people who are on a bulking phase have a higher carb intake as well. Look at the back of a protein powder and then look at a mass gainer. Protein powders are lower in carbs and calories (mine is 120 calories…

I would start out with strong lift 5x5 that is a basic routine that gets progressively heavier each week. (I know there are other programs out there, I'm suggesting it because I've seen results with it). Followed by some HIIT like sprints for 15-20 min. Free weights are far more effective than machines. I would stick with…

I would have nothing against crossfit if there was a type of screening before accepting any new clients. There are several problems like these crossfit "coaches" going to some seminar for a weekend and getting certified with out any real type of testing. Then they open up their own box and take no effort in coaching people…

There are too many variables for strength training to give accurate calories burned. Weight, time under tension, intensity, volume. rest.

I don't have a plan on how long it's going to take. I personally do the Bill Starr 5x5, followed by some sprints. I don't keep track of time I just keep going till I finish. But on average I think it takes me 90 min to finish everything.

Your trying to cut down body fat. The program I would recommend is the strong lift 5x5. I've been using it and I've seen good results. After each weight lifting session you will do some HIIT for about 15 min no longer than 20. You will not get big with heavy weights as long as you are at a calorie deficit.

I would find a workout partner. Someone who knows what they are doing to help you along. That way when you are not with your trainer, you have someone to help keep you in check. They can make sure that you keep your form correct and help you out if they see something off. I was the same way. My friend had been going to the…

Soreness is natural when starting strength training. DOMS is something that comes with the territory. If you stick with the program it won't be sore or as sore afterwards. To ease soreness I would invest in a foam roller if you don't have one. I find that they help out a lot with sore muscles and I use it for warm-up and…

Optimum Nutrition Chocolate Malt is my favorite protein powder.

My profile pic says it all lol.

Are you trying to each back the calories burned?

Go with free weights. To get rid of the last remaining body fat it's going to take a combination of lifting weights, and HIIT. As for what kind of workout you should do I recommend Strong lift 5x5. The program starts off light and progressively gets heavier each week. You won't bulk up with heavy weights as long as there…

As long as you are doing squats & deadlifts, there shouldn't be a need to do ab workouts. Those to lifts force you core to work to support yourself and the weight involved with each lift. Six packs come naturally when you have a low enough body fat percentage. On certain days I do some planks, med ball side throws, or…

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard is one of the best I've tried. And like someone said it helps if you are not meeting your daily goals with food alone.

I would suggest a peanut butter sandwich with a banana and a glass of milk. That is close to 500 calories, over if you get more than a cup of milk.

Good luck in your journey.
