I don't think what I said was an attack on you, and I would hope that you wouldn't take it that way. What I am saying is you are not allergic to gluten. There is no gluten allergy. You either have Celiac Disease which is an autoimmune disease or you have a wheat allergy. Saying that you are allergic to gluten does not make…

Whenever I juice I calculate the calories and just subtract the calories from the fiber. So if the recipe is 17 grams of fiber 17*4=68 calories. Subtract that from the total calories from the recipe. Whenever I have done that it always matches the caloric amounts given on websites with official nutrition information (I…

I don't usually log it when I drink tea but if I do I just put it under snacks. :)

I don't think it's too kind to be angry at your parents for that. For all they know you were going to be on a health kick and you changed your mind. You live with them so they can make whatever they please. I don't think you should feel insulted that they would dare to offer you food! If you feel like you suddenly want to…

You can leave it at sedentary and just eat those calories back or raise your activity level (and your daily intake goal will change on MFP). Whatever one you prefer, personally I leave my activity level at sedentary and just eat back my exercise calories. I find it motivates me to move more when I sync my fitbit and it…

Also I just wanted to add that I am 19 and 149 pounds. If I was sedentary my maintenance would be 1817 so I don't think your maintenance is 1700! I definitely agree with everyone else, looking at your weekly deficit sounds better for you rather than your daily deficit.

Okay so I'm just going to tell it like it is. There is no such thing as being allergic to gluten. I think people that say they have this don't realize that what they have is actually a mild wheat allergy, if they are truly having problems with anything. You either have Celiac Disease, which is an autoimmune disease, or you…

I have the fitbit one and I love it, I use it in conjunction with my polar ft7 heart rate monitor. From what I have read online you would be better off using a heart rate monitor for steady state cardio. I have not read the best reviews for fitbit heart rate monitors but I personally haven't used one so I can't really…

Right now I've just been thinking about being able to eat maintenance once I reach my goal. I'm motivated by the thought of being able to eat more food lol.

Okay so that means that you have celiac disease. It isn't an allergy but an autoimmune disease. So you can't eat anything with wheat, barley, rye and oats. You may be able to eat gluten free oats but some people still have a problem with them. :) Ask your doctor if they can refer you to a dietitian. Did you get a biopsy…

I'd say it's probably around 300 calories.

There is nothing wrong with grains. Unless you have Celiac disease there isn't any reason to cut them out. The reason you probably gain less weight when you eat less bread is because your overall caloric intake is lower. I know that when I went gluten free after being diagnosed with celiac disease I gained 25 pounds, my…

So far I have only tried mixes but the Betty Crocker gluten free chocolate cake mix is definitely good as well as the Krustez Gluten Free Brownie Mix. They are also both really easy and super yummy. I'm fairly picky about baked goods too, they are both very very similar to their gluten containing counterparts! :)
