Still reading, liking, hugging and otherwise being a lurker here! So it seems that while walking did not hurt the plantar fasciitis any, once it was mostly healed all that walking was preventing the last bit of healing from occurring. It really reminds me of how I had to deal with tennis elbow. So I've taken the last 6…

You got this @Mrs_Hoffer that is fantastic!!

Most people feel a lot of stress and anxiety during this time of year. It's also a time when some lose some track of their diet and fitness (intentional or otherwise). The reasons for the stress, anxiety, and setbacks in diet and exercise are almost countless. It's really all a perfect setup for all of those New Year New…

October 13 ✅✅✅ Today's exercise was a core isometrics routine (3 supersets to fatigue of superman, forearm plank, side planks, hollow tuck hold, reverse plank) Whether it's slow and steady or two steps forward and one step back, winding up ahead is most important. But who wants all that backpedaling?

10/13 workout summary Set 1 Superman - 58 Forearm Plank - 1:13 Side Plank (left) - 46 Side Plank (right) - 48 Hollow Tuck Hold - 39 Reverse Plank - 1:17 Set 2 Superman - 53 Forearm Plank - 52 Side Plank (left) - 42 Side Plank (right) - 43 Hollow Tuck Hold - 38 Reverse Plank - 1:08 Set 3 Superman - 45 Forearm Plank - 47…

Agree with the above. You don't have to be keto to feel the effects of greatly reducing (to the point of eliminating) refined and high GI carbs (not necessarily trying to villify carbs or start a debate). Those are what tend to "get added in" when people stop tracking. They no longer focus on eating a higher ratio of the…

I'm out for this month but still reading and hitting that like button in support of all your great work this month! I'll be back when I'm ready for it.

October 12 ✅✅✅ Exercise today was another strength workout (Upper Body B: DB Rows, DB Overhead Press, DB Bicep Curls) My foot is feeling a lot better but is not 100% yet. I've had tennis elbow before and it was a bear to get rid of, this is so much like that. I found out today I will need to have a surgery performed in the…

I don't know what my check-in post later may look like (should be on track though) so I'll reply to the topic now. I joined July 15, 2014, and I can honestly say I am not 100% sure of the exact motivator other than this site had a number of useful capabilities for me. At that point I had already lost 66 pounds since…

Keep an eye on it @polskagirl01 and remember that if it is a strained muscle it can come back relatively quickly given proper time to heal preventing too much loss in the whole cardio category. Sounds like the issue is in the middle of the muscle which (in a way) is good news compared to towards the ends of the muscle.…

I guess I tend towards blue shoes. I prefer to have different colors per pair since I stick with Brooks Glycerin to help me easily rotate through them. Grey and blacks tend to be the others I rotate through as those 3 are pretty much in every generation. I have no issue with bright colors, and for men's Brooks those…

✅✅✅ Exercise today was a strength routine (Upper Body A: DB Bench Press, Banded Lat Pull-Down, Banded Tricep Extension, DB Wrist Curls). Trying to avoid any drama about not getting outside and walking.🤪

✅✅✅ 3 pass days used Taking a break from walking to see if I can get the final soreness remaining from plantar fasciitis to go away as it has lingered now for too long and only seems noticeably improved after days with no walks. Exercise was only cleaning and stretching, which almost felt like cheating today, but I know it…

Welcome back @marisap2010 Awesome race @polskagirl01 that hill sounds crazy! @RunsOnEspresso you are AMAZING! I honestly have trouble imagining a full marathon virtually like that. It's so hard but YOU DID IT HOLY SMOKES YOU ARE A BEAST!!!
-
Congrats! Excellent job @bradkcrew that is actually a very impressive pace for a first at such distance! You should be very proud! I am! Whatever training you're following, keep it up, you're doing great!
-
Excellent finisher! Loved this series. Hope you have a great trip @biketheworld How's that saying go? Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're probably right!
-
I agree @biketheworld and is why I considered no reply at all. It's something people must learn somehow. Not sure it is teachable. So I just gave my piece about it as it pertained to me. Why I let it take that many years to learn to enjoy life, I have no idea. Not that I didn't believe that I enjoyed life prior to that.…

I hesitate to respond to this nugget at all for F E A R of upsetting anyone. Definitely not my intention. Plus I wanted to wait...but can't for some reason. I think this is nugget is purely about perspective and to a degree boils down to one's maturity level (something that was mentioned in at least one other nugget as I…

3 x yes here again today! As for this nugget, I'll just comment that if I had followed such a mindset for training for running I never would have run a distance much longer than a 10k.

Entering a little early today due to my phone being serviced and being out of pocket until perhaps sometime tomorrow. I'm confident today will be fine and I won't be requiring any updates from cravings tonight, now that I know it was a blood sugar response from being knocked out of ketosis (I even know the exact culprit).…

Thanks! First I've heard of this! I actually have had mine in storage for a while now. This is great!

I have been on both sides of the swag spectrum. My "firsts" of certain distances and events were all treasured (still are). That said, unless is it "quite literally the coolest medal ever to exist on planet Earth", I would prefer to save the money than have another medal and especially another dang event shirt.

I have learned that running math involves double-checking and then triple-checking the result, and then verifying it using a couple other methods, only to have the watch finally chirp something that tells me if I was even close. Sometimes I'm not that far off, but usually it's not worth the effort. Oh, I have been reading.…

This one is kinda funny right now. The scale has been more in focus lately, but only because I am tracking my TDEE calculations, intake and daily weight to help guide me towards slowing down weight loss in the next few months and transitioning to maintenance. While the scale is more in focus lately, and I have struggled…

Correction: Pass day 3 The upside is I think this is due to my body wavering between ketosis and glucolysis which is something I can work on. Also explains some moodiness. I was being a little forgiving about some net carbs so long as they were veggie based, but I think that Primal Kitchen ketchup in the chili I've had a…

I don't think so, but I can't say for sure. I suspect if it was the same then it would be easy to find out. There is no mention of "Half Size Me" on the website for the YouTube series workout instructor named Heather Robertson and likewise no links or mention of these workouts on the Half Size Me website
