Uncle Kracker - Smile After my Aunt had her bone marrow transplant my uncle put a picture slide show of her amazing journey through it all to this song and just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes. Its been 3 years since the 2nd transplant and thankfully my aunt is doing just great! :smile:

I make smoothies with frozen bananas, skim milk, peanutbutter, hershey syrup and ice. Maybe not low cal but it sure is yummy!!

^^^This^^^ News paper works great for druing shoes. I've had some shrink in the wash and one pair just fell apart. You can also hand wash them in a sink to get the mud and stuff off then use the news paper to dry them or lay them out in the sun.

I share you're frustration. I work for WIC, and for those of you who are not familiar with the program its a suplimental nutrition program for pregnant women and children up to the age of 5. Some days its like I'm talking to a wall when it comes to children and healthy eating. Moms would rather take them to McDonalds or…

I drove a 1989 Chevy Silverado 1500. That truck was a tank and I loved it! It had 437,000 miles when I got rid of it . Didn't need a key to start it when I took it to college. My firends used to come get it while I was in class. Still on the road as far as I know. :smile:

No kids yet, but my dog ate 5 remote comtrolls and a pair of Oakley sunglasses. Oh! and the tile off the floor in front of the frontdoor :smile:

I second this ^^^ My husband loves cheese fries and I do to. So I make room for it, or go for a walk after dinner. If this is a lifestyle change you can't cut out the yummy stuff completely. Some food just taste to good to let go of.

Aspartame; and its in almost everything 'light' 'diet' or 'sugar free' One Diet coke or light yoplait and I'm out for the rest of the day. Another trigger for me is TOM and dehydration. I can use splenda or stevia though, which has helped cut calories.

Peanut butter!! Its great on apples, bananas, carrots, celery, and even a spoon. You can also add peanutbutter to a smoothie; my favorite it a frozen banana, PB, skim milk and some ice (if I have the room in my diary I'll add some hershey syrup too) :wink:

When some one asked me when I was due... When my Mom had gastric by-pass and had to change her eating; I figured I could help her by eating healthier too.

I haven't given anything up entierly, but I have cut back on a bunch of thing because I don't think they are worth that much of my calorie alotment. Mainy soda, sweets, and fried yumminess! If I want something like that I'll look it up first and decide if it is worth my calories for the day. I can't cut things out all…
