Yet another person claiming what works for some people must be THE way to lose weight. Just bore off and go and low carb yourself into oblivion somewhere else.

You're inviting us to treat you as well as you treat your dog? How well do you treat your dog? Do we need to be taking you for walkies and buying doggy snacks to give to you when you've been behaving?

Try a juice detox colon cleanse.

Another subscriber to 'the how can you call yourself healthy and say you starve yourself in the same line' group here. You need to be explaining this to a doctor. But just a thought for you to consider, maybe instead of drastically cutting calories and then drastically increasing them - you instead find somewhere in…

If the words had been "I'm too scared to commit to you unless you improve your health because if I get too close and lose you, etc" (you get the idea) then I'd see the tough love thing. But that comes across as saying you don't meet his idea of what he wants from a girlfriend but that if you change he might change his…

I echo the just cut extra calories thing. But, when it comes to 'treat' food, cutting out multi-packs in favour of single serving packs is wise I think.

You probably just need a really big poop. Eat more fibre as well as drinking more water to make this happen. You'll probably recoil in disgust, but you'll thank me for this suggestion when you're floating out of the bathroom because you're so light.

Before I recommend beating him repeatedly with a large stick in his man regions, you should talk to him first and explain how you're feeling. It really shouldn't need explaining to someone that you shouldn't be a d**k to the person you supposedly love. But sometimes people don't seem to actually be able to realise how…

Yep, I'm impressed by how she's faced up to it and not make silly excuses for it or blamed anyone else. S**t happens, admit to it, laugh about it, learn and move on.

From what I can gather on the French diet, they usually have a pastry for breakfast. Although cereal and oats are becoming more popular. They then have a really big lunch with a starter, main course and either a dessert or cheese after. Children are offered a small snack when they return from school. And dinner is between…

Hi there, how's things? Yes.

Sure I've been told honey, banana and milk blended into a smoothie is a good way to cure a hangover. Never tried it though because I don't drink alcohol.

That's the word I was looking for, going to the gym and eating to a plan is a habit. Often going to the gym is a bit of a pain, but I do it through force of habit. Newbies to this place need to realise it's not motivation they need, it's just that they need to make it a habit. Because it does get easier the more you do it,…

I see that figure as nothing more than a trend, don't look at that number as something you'll definitely be in five weeks - but as an indicator of how much progress you're currently making.

Go to the My Home tab>Goals (just beneath)>Change Goals (green button at the bottom)>Select either guided or custom (guided is probably best at this stage) then just follow the instructions.

I ate all of the calories.

Off the top of my head, bananas and protein bars, but different things suit different body's so don't take that as gospel. Sports drinks might help, but plenty of water is a definite must.

Oh God, I feel a 'clean eating' debate coming up.
-
What's wrong with eating after a shift? Just plan your meals out so you can eat when you want to. Don't force yourself to not eat at certain times.
-
Bring all of the foodz. You're probably going to feel better with easy digesting food if you're going to be exercising frequently.
-
I can help you by stealing all of your food and chasing you every where with a big stick so you run a lot? If you're not losing weight, the usual reason for this is you're eating more than you need to. But I don't know how much you're eating and I am no nutritionist so I can't say for sure you should be eating less. You…

I don't think anyone can really answer that. But my question would be why do so many people think others will be able to provide them with the motivation they can't? Making friends on here is great, it's good to share the fitness journey. But if you can't push yourself to do something, no one else will be able to. You've…

Try not to get too bogged down in the detail, just enjoy the loss and keep heading in the right direction.

If weighing yourself every day is what works for you, then do that by all means. BUT don't let any increase get you down because fluctuations happen. They're supposed to happen because that's how the human body works. Your weight never stays the same, it changes throughout the day. Another warning, don't push too hard to…

Unless I can find 99% dark chocolate, then 90% can do one.

90% Lindt dark chocolate is something I will never give up.

Can we not just go with highly nutritious food and less nutritious food? Or food that's good for your insides/food that's good for your mind?

At the risk of repeating what others in this long thread have already said: - Aim to lose 0.5 lbs a week, take your time and it's more sustainable and less likely you'll crash. - High fibre foods and water are great. A couple of cups of broccoli will probably fill you up for a while for example. - Black coffee is wonderful…

I think this is a universal frustration. I see definition everywhere except my thighs, I guess they are the last thing to catch up.
