No, don't worry about it. Instead focus on consuming plenty of fibre (sweet potato, oats, avocado - good for fat too, nut butters, nuts, etc).

My gym is so cold and looks really run down that it rarely attracts too many people. But it's actually really good and has loads of equipment. So I get the benefit of a really good but not overly busy gym. I hope they don't go out of business through lack of custom mind.

The world is full of perverts, right now someone within touching distance of you could be one. They walk amongst us!

My dog is feeling her age a bit so getting her to go for a walk can be a bit difficult. So I just chase her outside with the vacuum cleaner, because she hates that. Daft mutt doesn't realise it doesn't make that sound she hates if it's not plugged in.

I'm suffering from similar symptoms myself, well I say suffering - it's not killing me but I've felt constantly lethargic for longer than I can remember now. I used to feel really energetic, I'm still getting workouts done, doing what I need to do, running about at football, etc. But it feels much more of an effort now.…

I love the daily demonisation of different type of food type posts on here. Fat, carbs, protein, sodium, sugar, microwave meals...what's next, too much water? I just wish being really silly and blaming everything except excess calories made you gain weight. Because that's the only way some people would ever learn.

Water.

Bad newz, I have all of teh carbz, they're all mine. I iz not sharing.

Nothing wrong with late night snacking and meals, it works great for me personally. Work and reward system. Just plan what you're going to eat the day before and leave enough room for that late meal and snack. There's nothing at all wrong with eating late, in fact it's basically what we're designed to do. The day is for…

About 35% down from where I was three years ago, aiming for another 6-7% decrease and then I'm done.
-
Same question for me. Or more specifically, what do you find wrong with coffee that makes you want an alternative? Because I have it regularly and have no desire or need to seek out an alternative.

Stop getting bored, find something to do. Something that involves going outdoors might be best, away from the kitchen. Eating for joy is definitely emotional eating by the way, joy is an emotion.

This thread is so hot, I've had to take my hoodie off. If this keeps up, my thermal socks are next.

Last time I was in the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle-upon-Tyne they had posters up advising people to use MFP. I gave it a knowing nod, like I was part of some cool club where all the other cool kids hang out. We should have a secret handshake for when we meet other MFP users to confirm our coolness. Maybe even…

I'm not reading every reply so I may just be repeating things already said here. But increase vegetable intake (purchase some super greens/complete greens/greens powder from a supplement company can help with this), cranberry juice, other high fibre foods (cocoa, coconut flour, etc), coffee, lots and lots of water - these…

Dang, I had some really good ones too.

If it helps, nobody at the gym will be looking down on you, in fact it's more likely the complete opposite. Even the 'meatheads' in gyms are usually really good people who'll either pay you little notice or even give you help and advice. There's generally an unspoken rapport between gym users. Everyone there is there for a…

Trying to log everything whilst eating out will probably kill any chances of it being fun. Imagine having to ignore your friends every so often to play about on your phone whilst attempting to find exact nutritional information for whatever it is you've just eaten/drunk.
-
I don't log vegetables, they're so low calorie it's never been a problem. Always log fruit though, look at the nutritionals for a banana or avocado for example, you don't want to not log those sort of numbers. For simplicity you could just take your carb macros target and take 10% off it for veg and leave it unlogged. But…

Measuring and weighing comes naturally to me now, takes seconds out of my day to do it. As opposed to judging portion sizes by guessing, eating too much and then gradually putting weight on and having to take weeks to lose it all again. I get that it feels a bit over the top and a hassle. And when I get to a point where…

The great thing about lifting weights is that whilst you won't burn a staggering amount of calories during your session like you would on a treadmill for example - you will burn more calories at rest after you've finished. As long as your diet is in check, you'll really feel the benefits the more you do it.

Milk, banana, peanut butter...blend. Or try other things, protein powder is great, but not necessary.

About seven months into it when I started hitting the gym twice a day, seven days a week. Bit more careful now, in there four times a week as part of a plan. But always feel a bit bad on rest days as I panic a tad bit that if I'm not exercising, I'm going backward. Which isn't the case at all, but my addiction is half…

This. We cannot tell you why your husband acts the way he does and what his reasoning is or what is going through his head at that point. Definitely talk it out with him, getting angry and not dealing with the issue isn't good.
-
I couldn't tie my shoelaces without feeling knackered in 2011, nine months later I was really slim and fit. From that point onward it's just been about pushing myself to see what else I can achieve and will be for the rest of my life.

I eat 2.5-3 hours before a workout, I change what I eat regularly so no typical meal for this. Coffee 30-60 minutes before, post workout shake of whey, dextrose, leucine and creatine monohydrate 30-60 minutes post workout. Proper meal about 2-4 hours after that. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer on this one if…

Sorry, but it sounds like you are making an excuse to indulge a little here. If you choosing what you do and do not eat makes him angry, then he has serious problems that need addressing. Because that's actually quite a disturbing way to behave.
-
Sounds like you need to reorganise how you eat so you've got plenty of spare calories in the evening to use. Or eat more at other times so you feel less hungry in the evening.
-
You're advocating giving up coffee and 'eating clean', me and you are now mortal enemies. Seriously, just ditch the extras and learn to enjoy black coffee - it really is quite a good thing to have when you're used to it. And yes, you are crazy for even considering giving up coffee. What kind of person gives up coffee?!

I don't think this is the response they were hoping for and I don't think they'll accept the point you make that it is entirely up to them. If you decide to quit improving your lifestyle just because others around you aren't doing the same thing, then you're punishing yourself for how others live. How you live affects you,…
