I don't really understanding why you're being so condescending... you're the one whining about not losing weight eating at the calorie amount you want to eat... others are just offering up some advice as to why you may not be losing weight. It gets harder when you lose and you have to be more strict then you were in the…

When I was larger, I could get away with not weighing things... but the more weight I've lost, the thinner the line I can walk. I don't plan on weighing things til I die, butttt at least until I can become better at "eyeballing"-- which apparently I totally fail at now lol.

Great posts, with great info!

I'm bumping this because I think more people should see it.

It's funny how "normal" this is. I use whey protein, eat mostly whole foods at a deficit and bust my tail in the gym... and my family who sees all of this will give credit to the whey protein like it did all the work. They don't want to hear about the deficit.. they just want the whey protein to be their easy fix.

any quick snack cakes/protein bars/fiber one bars-- I could seriously eat the whole box-- or at least more than I'm supposed to. Over eat fiber bars and it could get scary. That excludes Quest bars... but not because I don't want to eat them all, but because they are so darn expensive. Instead I've been eating Orvilles…

It definitely makes me think twice about assuming a guy is interested just because he's nice to me. Last year, a really sweet thoughtful guy would come over and fix stuff at my house--without me even asking. I totally thought that he was interested buuut after an awkward conversation, I realized that he was just nice. From…

Ughh yes! My best friend is super attractive.. Like Jennifer Aniston in her glory days, and she is one of the nicest people you would ever meet-- not being fake at all. And she is really kind to EVERYONE (male, female, young, old) and intelligent, but she's not interested in a relationship right now. Almost once a week, a…

LOL I had showed a picture of what I looked like before I lost the weight to a coworker and they were like, "Wow... you looked like a big ole, bully." Now when my weight fluctuates I think of looking like a big ole, bully. Thanks, guy.

I think that's a great question. You will lose weight if you burn more than you consume. It all comes down to what your goals are and how you feel. I like to get the most "bang" for my calories... but I also like to know that I can eat whatever I want and still live a healthy lifestyle. I've lost weight while eating…

It's weird.. Mine is opposite. I lost 50lbs and ZERO guys looked at me-- granted I still had more to lose... but then I had a really rough year and gained back 30lbs and I'm attracting weirdo's like flies on honey. I've gotten way more random guy attention in the past months. Maybe they think I am more in their league now?…

newser.com/story/200180/science-shows-half-of-what-dr-oz-says-is-bunk.htmlhttp:// Sorry, but you've been bamboozled. The problem is that most "research" out there is bunk and you have to really search for actual science-- and it's not always easy to find. .

OP, I could encourage someone in their decision to jump off a bridge... or I could say, "hey don't do that--it's not wise." Which is more kind? To tell the truth or encourage the lie? This diet is unwise-- and honestly, more complicated than it needs to be. If you want to do it, then fine... but if you post and try to…

First, in honesty OP... I do hope that you continue losing weight and never have to count a calorie. And congrats on the weight loss! But if you ever do plateau, I hope that you will turn to calorie counting and strict measuring--if only for a while. I didn't count calories and ate more nutrient dense foods and lost 50lbs…

I know you've received TONS of advice here-- and it's really great. I just want to add that adding a rest day in your cardio will help you. If you started 10 days ago and you haven't taken a day off, then your body is probably retaining a lot of water because of the new exercise. I normally don't see my REAL weight loss…

OOH YAY! We just got a Costco and my work gave me a membership! Good to know.

Anything from Cellucor... I think you can only get it online.... I haven't found any as good as this-- though I haven't tried tons of others. I had ordered it because I thought that the Peanut butter Marshmellow sounded good, and now I have the flavors, S'more, Mint Chocolate Chip and Molten Chocolate. They are super…

yea, I didn't see it as an attack but as what I see as happening. I'm just being honest... I didn't know where your point was or where it was going because most of what I see/saw was hyper-defensive and unwillingness to see anything else. My favorite thing to do is debate and get better information than what I already…

Replied before I saw the edited version. So, basically, I write one paragraph asking you to get to the point and from that you conclude: People like me? People like me, asking questions and giving you a chance to prove your point? I must not have half a brain, I'm wasting my effort actually trying to understand what you…

Shaky in proving the point that 43% or more of US Adults have Insulin Resistance. That user pointed out that 1) the test was done only once. Even in middle school science, you have to test a subject at 3 times to conclude a final result. 2) The over sampling.. So.. yea... the information is shaky. Care to explain why you…

OP, What's the application here? Awareness? Low-carb dieting for all? I cannot read the point between your hyper- defensiveness and unwillingness to consider anything other than your own opinion. I'd really like to consider your point. I love information. But the 2 studies that you have listed have been shown to be pretty…

Yep!! I've gained a lot of kitchen skills from it, though. Most of my other single friends don't really cook-- they eat out or live with their parents... so they all think I'm the best cook.. lol... all I'm doing is just following a recipe. I also live in South Louisiana, and befriend older ladies, who give me their secret…

HMM.. Now that I think about it... I'm constantly cooking and eating new things. The only 2 things that I always cook is crockpot chicken and fajitas. Other than that... I'm always trying new stuff. It's probably because I am single and cook for one, so everything I cook goes a long ways. I've actually been eating crockpot…

<I've changed my mind based on presented information many times. My favorite thing to do is debate because I either become more firm in my belief or I learn something new. I don't care about being wrong, I just want correct information. @CrunchyDad, this is the second time I've seen you speaking on chemicals, and while I…
