All I know is that he makes amazing sushi....
-
Same. I like knowing what people expect. I'm definitely not the type to ask directly though. I'll probably just watch things play out and assume that he's just being friendly until he makes something else clear.
-
:D I COULD like him lol! But if he's just being friendly, then there's no reason to get excited about anything.

I'm so excited that so many people eat chocolate regularly as part of their diet. I JUST started doing this for the holidays because I was abstaining from all sweets and then I'd end up bingeing. I made the decision to up my calorie intake and have about 300 calories allotted to sweets.... I've mainly been on truffles. No…

You won't regret it. Not just for weight loss- that just happens to be one of my goals to "finish"... but lots of other goals that we start and then just don't complete. I'm totally a person who gets excited about a goal and then just lets it die.

Happiness, Chipotle and Beauty :D :D :D :D

10lbs at my heaviest didn't show much... Even my measurements didn't go down by a lot. But now I see the difference in my face with just 5lbs. 10lbs show in my clothes. I still have a ways to go, but it gets more fun as you go!

I'm glad not having "before" pics has worked for you... but I am so motivated by other people's progress... and my own. It's easy to forget where you've come from. I've lost 41lbs and sometimes I forget to relish where I am. I get caught up in how much work I need to still do. Then I look back at photos and I am proud of…

A while back, I was following one of the programs on bodybuilding.com at the gym. I watched all the videos on form and it was an arm day... I can't remember the exact exercise I was doing.. but I wasn't doing it with bad form. Some guy walked up, who was super jacked, and told me that I should do a completely different…

Thanks Everyone! I'm thinking I'll start eating half and see what my progress is like. I just don't want to fall into crazy binge patterns from not eating enough calories... but then I don't want to overeat and not reach my goals. The only way to see is to try, I guess!

I don't believe that 13 is too young for dieting and especially educating but there's so much information out there these days that I think I would feel overwhelmed as a 13 year old. Thinking back to when I was 13, if I'd have had access to the internet then (besides for yahoochat :D ) I would have googled how to lose…

Thanks! Yea... I feel like it would work for my mental sanity to be able to say "I can totally have that thing.... just only on this day." I do think I'll have to learn to reign it in... from a cheat day to a cheat meal. On my one time off plan, I meant to just do a meal. But it turned into an all day affair.
-
Yea definitely! I'm for people adjusting things to fit into their lifestyle. I'm just in a few FB groups and even reddit groups where talking about taking a highcarb day (Or cheating) is against the rules... and I just happened to be a "Let's talk this through" learner lol. So I like hearing how it's affected others... if…

Some people will never learn.

Amazing!!!! Great job resisting and great job making beautiful cupcakes!

Thanks... this is helpful to know. They aren't doing "true keto" either... so they can't really claim the name. Now I don't have to address my diet as IIFYM Keto lol!
-
Hmm. I didn't know that the original was 5% protein! I actually haven't read that much into the "original plan" because I knew I wanted to just meet macronutrient goals. I try to coexist and just not post things that they wouldn't approve of (like truffle victories) because though they are crazy strict, it is beneficial…
-
That's what I would say... but I'm in a few FB Keto groups and some of them are super hardcore about following the original plan when it was given to Epilepsy patients in the 1920's. There are a list of "not approved Keto Foods" and they would argue that anyone not following the original plan isn't doing "True Keto."

Exactly. The rest of my meals(weighed and measured): Breakfast: Coffee with Heavy Whipping cream and a slice of Cheese: Net carbs: 1 Lunch: Stuffed Bell Peppers and a half of avocado: Net Carbs: 11 Dinner: Cilantro Salmon and Broccoli: Net Carbs: 2 Snack: Chia Seed pudding with Sugar-free whipped cream.. and my 2 truffles…

Hmm. Yea so... I say Keto/IIFYM so not to offend either group.. but maybe end up doing both lol. When I first started Keto, I thought it was just as simple as staying under 20-25 NET carbs a day... but a lot of Ketoer's don't approve certain ingredients as being Keto-- even if it does fit within that limit. So even if I…

Thanks for the responses everyone. It's pretty interesting to hear that most of you haven't had an infinite dose of motivation to reach your goals-- it's definitely given me something to think about. It makes a big difference to hear from those who have been there and done it.
-
Thanks everyone! This was really helpful to think through and read the different responses. I decided to eat at maintenance on those days. As time goes on, I may just spread those calories out throughout the week instead of eating them for one day... but for now physiologically, I need a day. Thanks again for all your…
-
That's a good idea! Maybe I'll sit down and work out a plan where I get a certain amount of calories on those days. I always do better if I have a plan going in rather than winging it. I honestly do think I'm just cramming everything I can in. The thing is, like I said above.. I'm not crazy restricting myself during the…

Thanks for the replies! I'm thinking I might have to make it more of a meal rather than a day. I'm aware that a lot of the masses at mfp are more "everything in moderation everyday." When I say cheat day, I mean I'm going over my calories drastically--which I do still log. I eat Halo Top Ice Cream every night, and have…

Love these! Thank you guys so much for the feedback and motivation! I'm slowly coming out of being regretful and instead turning it around to get stuff done!

I know that it's the mentor's that are supposed to comment... but I'd love to be adopted. I want to do IIFYM and have (free) access to a Crossfit-type-of-gym but no access to a gym where I could do my own thing. Don't be fooled by my well-angled photo... I have 100lbs to lose and want to set some realistic goals. I don't…

It's super fun! I didn't realize how much it helped me with my overall calorie deficit until I stopped doing it and gained weight (I had been maintaining for a while). I signed up again this week!

Anything that tastes bad! I hate hate hate when I finally decide to eat that donut at the office and I take one bite and it's stale or just not so good. I used to be afraid of wasting food so I'd just finish it off and think "That's not what I wanted" the entire time I ate it. Not anymore. If I don't care for something and…

HAHAHA! I almost responded.. "yesssss I feel amazing because I just had my period last week and I have so much energy!" and then I read the 65 days part and was like... oh man my period being delayed by 2 weeks and then lasting 1 day longer is nothing to complain about. lol! But I do feel amazing this week.
