  • I think they meant lifting plan. Lifting helps you retain muscle as you lose weight, so you lose mostly fat. It makes a difference in helping you look lean in the end.
  • I got this one for Christmas. I had heard great things about it for a while and someone finally sent me one. It was great!
  • I see lots of guys carry bags like these:
  • As a woman who refuses to carry a purse I'd just like companies to start putting real pockets in women's clothing. Not half pockets that barely fit chapstick. Not fake pockets. Real pockets. I'd never wear a fanny pack.
  • Estimates are still not accurate. When I first started I was confident that the 2 Tbsp of peanut butter I measured out were really that, but when I weighed it the serving I had was almost 3 Tbsp. Same thing for my oatmeal and my meats. A food scale is a really good investment.
  • I resort to bribery. I also don't allow myself to turn on the TV/computer until I go workout.
  • I prefer a big breakfast, but had to work towards a slightly smaller breakfast just to have a reasonable amount of calories left for other meals. I eat about 1750 calories per day. On weekends when I have time for breakfast I do oatmeal and I make scrambled eggs using a bunch of egg whites with a whole egg and a little bit…

  • Having a cookie or a piece of pizza isn't unhealthy. Healthy and unhealthy are viewed in context of your entire diet. If that was all you ate then it would be unhealthy, but if it's a small portion of what you ate it's fine. Rather than feeling like you are a bad person for wanting them maybe plan them into your food diary…
  • Tightening skin takes time and good genetics. Lifting weights can help firm up what is under the skin and can improve how it looks overall. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10332083/which-lifting-program-is-the-best-for-you#latest
  • 5 reps and below is associated with strength training. Up to 12 reps is associated with hypertrophy.
  • The general rule of thumb is if you are a beginner you should consider following a program that's already made by a professional. Building a strength base is a good place to start, which would be a program where the main lifts are lower reps with heavy weight. Overall the most important thing to helping burn fat and…
  • https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4079633/ Cryolipolysis is safe for all skin types, with no reported pigmentary changes, and is safe for repeated application.18 The best candidates are those within their ideal weight range and those who engage in regular exercise, eat a healthy diet, have noticeable fat bulges…
  • Depending on where she works she may be required to base your protein off of a very specific recommendation. I personally would constantly feel hungry with protein that low. The typical suggestion on MFP is .8 grams per pound of lean body mass. I've calculated it for a wide variety of women and 100 grams seems to be about…
  • @aaronjonn84 Can we have more details please?
  • If you have a thyroid issue your doctor should prescribe something to help. It will still take a calorie deficit to lose weight. Natural doesn't mean it's effective or safe. This is an issue to work with your doctor on.
  • Jump starting your metabolism isn't a thing. Your metabolism is running just fine. Stay consistent with logging daily and weigh your food if you aren't already.
  • Have you never seen Fifth Element?

  • Maybe your deficit is too big. If you currently have it set to lose two pounds per week change it to one. It sounds slow, but it's easier to stick to.
  • I'm a female that is significantly bigger than you (5'9" 200 pounds) and couldn't imagine trying to hit that protein level. I'd go back and ask how he came up with those numbers. Also, did he say anything at all about your training or just trust you are doing enough?
  • Something about being called a babe makes my skin crawl. Swamp demon or meat popsicle are far more fitting for me.

  • There's a strong curves begginer program with a pdf that has just the workouts. Google the exercise name and you should find videos of the exercise.
  • Actually it isn't. You're thinking of BMR. 1200 is a generally accepted lowest suggestion based on an old study the government has stuck to. A very short, sedentary, light female may need to eat less than that for noticeable weight loss. If I was in a coma and given 1200 calories I'd be sickly skinny in a few months. OP:…
  • I'm legitimately curious. This is a challenge of some sort with no details. How are people supposed to determine whether they want to do the challenge or not if there aren't details?
  • Others are shaming you or you are shaming yourself? Almost everyone has something they can't do. I'm flexible and strong, can't hold yoga poses due to some injuries. I'm not going to feel bad about what I can't do, I celebrate the things I can do. I have a friend who is missing half an arm and she is always finding ways to…
  • Do you use a food scale? Have you had blood work done recently?
  • There was one time I was running on a treadmill and a guy got on the one next to me and he smelled like cat pee. I cared in that moment.
  • I care a little about how I look (not much though). I don't care at all about how men look unless they have things exposed that shouldn't be.
