This is something I struggle with also and this is an awesome way to think about it. It is hard, though! One day at a time.

Bump! My first didn't do too much damage, but she came out 6 weeks early at less than 4lbs. My second came out on her due date at nearly 8. BIG DIFFERENCE. I'm convinced my poor belly button will never be the same.

I'm a SAHM, too - though I think I'm pretty young (27 in March!). I have 2 girls, 1 and 3. Adding you!

hmmm....I did at one point, but I haven't seen it in a while. That's smart, though, I'll have to see if I can track it down! $20 says it's popped in the corner of our storage/laundry room.

2 steps ahead of you, trogalicious, I've been doing IPOARM since day 1. Well, maybe more like day 3, but pretty darn close. LOVE IT. I did WW before Thanksgiving, lost about 10lbs and put like half of it back on. As of this morning, I've lost all that weight, plus a little more, in a week and a half and I feel FULL and…

lol yeah, that's probably the overarching theme of my "plan"

The last unmedicated period I had was in....2002. I had it like 3-4 times on my own ages 14-16, then was put on the pill at 16, and the only times I've had it since going on the pill in 2002 have been when I've been prescribed provera and when I'm doing fertility treatments.

Can you open up your food diary? Or feel free to friend request me if you want it friends only.

Haven't read all the other responses, but wanted to say you should NOT feel like a sell out. One look at that scar - that takes GUTS. You look awesome.

I was actually just thinking to myself a couple days ago that if there is some sort of breakdown in society, my first stop will be to the shelter to pick out a big dog. Anyway, I had plans to do 2m tonight, so this is perfect!

^^That! I struggle with that, too, I'm always so amazed at people who lose like 30lbs+ in just a few months, but when you break it down, that's less than 2lbs a week, which is pretty much what I average, too. If I just with something for more than a couple weeks at a time, I'd have the same results, too...and so will you!

I'm training for my first half sometime in the spring...I started Hal Higdon's 12 week training program, but I haven't found a good local half to sign up for yet.

Never heard of that before! Very cool :) I'm the weirdo who likes to listen to books on tape. *shrugs* it's my me time!

Morning! Aside from getting down to my goal weight, my big goal for this year is to run a half marathon :)

This is awesome - you look totally different!

I think you need to get your primary care doc to give you a referral to an endocrinologist. He/she can do a full work up and help you get everything figured out. I have heard PCOS is a vitamin deficiency - but I've heard pretty much everything under the sun regarding PCOS, and tried most of it. None of it worked for me.…

Lunch is almost always a salad w/chicken. I try to vary our dinners, since we tend to eat the same things for breakfast and lunch a lot. Usually some type of meat/fish and a side veggie. Hubby usually brings the leftovers to work with him for his lunch.

Another vote for extended release! It also helps to start out with the lowest dose you can (one pill) and work your way up over the course of a few weeks. I found that while on met, it would take several weeks for digestive symptoms to stop, and even once I was mostly better, I'd still have to avoid trigger foods (very…

Aaaaaand there's another piece to the puzzle. Welcome back, AF. Lol

Also just wanted to say I'm really overwhelmed at this response - thank you so much for the great advice and support! I'm definitely going to have to check in more often :) New plan - more water, more rest days, watch the sodium, more calories, and add back some carbs.

I'm sooooo close to weaning her (Sept!), that I guess it just doesn't feel like I'm nursing much at all...but you're all right, if I'm making milk, I'm losing calories there. I NEED to lose 40lbs and would LIKE to lose closer to 55.
-
Aaah, OK, that makes sense. And does make me feel better. Thank you.

What is TDEE? I'm. assuming it has something to do with the caloric intake? Sorry, I'm new :)

Wait, why cut back on the exercising? One of hubby's theories was that I gained some muscle from the running, but that just doesn't make sense to me. I feel like if I went out day one and ran 1+ miles with that darn stroller, then I'm probably not growing too much muscle from it. I could see that if my muscles were totally…
