Yes, count them. Depending on how much you use, you could be miscounting by 100s of cals per meal. Butter and oil are fairly calorie dense and add up fast.

I drink diet soda somewhat regularly, I know it's supposedly 'bad' but whatever. It gives me my soda fix and has no calories, as long as I'm not chugging it or drinking way too much of it, I think I'm ok.

Goals: 1400 lowest, 1600 highest. Sometimes I go over by a bit, sometimes enough that I hit my maintenance calorie goal. No biggie. As long as I'm not actively gaining and still keeping things in check, I'm good.

I have thunderthighs from many years of intensive horseback riding, farmwork and swimming, not too happy with them sometimes but my calves are shapely and I like that. I love it fresh out of the skin with some bacon and eggs for breakfast. Works well with something a bit salty, I like it on sandwiches too, needs some texture to pair with it for a meal. Sometimes I crave it so bad I eat it plain though.

Might be good to increase your calorie goal, you're doing A LOT of different exercises and you need to fuel your body. Some people lose weight significantly faster when they're eating more than they initially think they 'should'. Less is not always more.

Lots and lots of protein, fruit and salads with a low calorie dressing. I get terrible sugar cravings, sometimes I want gummi bears and more often I crave chocolate/ice cream. I let myself have some treats if my goals allow for it, but they don't always, so I try to fill up on other things to minimize it. No fancy tricks…
