Hey. Just noticed I was a member of this group 😉 I was 7lbs from my goal. Now im 9, thanks to the holidays. But thinking to drop my goal by 10 so I have some wiggle room. So 19 lbs in 2020 .... let's go!

Hi all! Im doing short term quarterly goals. My goals to attain my March 31 are: 1. 3 pull ups (achieved my first ever on 12-28-19) 2. Sleep 7.5 hours nightly (particularly difficult for me since I wake up at 4:35am) 3. Work towards benching my weight by June 30 4. Drink only on weekends, 4 drinks max. 5. Continue working…

Oh no. Don't go with that! I'd suggest going to macrosinc.net and calculating your calorie intake and macros. Then come back here if you still need help. 😉

I know this is not what you asked, but ... Why are you setting your calories to 1200?
-
This. And only pure water gets logged as water.

Can't believe I've been on mfp for almost a decade! Feel free to add me

Im here daily as well. (Well, "here" meaning logging, not much on the forums 😉) Feel free to add me.

I like this challenge!!! I'm in for 120min for March. 👊

I just completed 6 months of keto. I lost for the first 4 and a half months, and have been at a stall weight wise for the last 7 weeks, but I keep dropping inches. Started at 178. Currently 159.

You lost me there. Never watched it. But, my opinion? Like so many other things, it's a fetish.

We were talking about leaky gut. While there's no real evidence (that I know of at least) to show that gluten causes leaky gut, removing gluten is often suggested to see if symptoms subside.
-
Cut out gluten and processed foods and see how it goes?
-
Supposedly, Paleo intrinsically supports gut health because gluten is the big bad boy.
-
Eat more protein?

By "ridiculous", and I agree that was a poor choice of word, I meant the concept of logging a calorie burn (which is often inflated and inaccurate) and forcing the calories. And although I prefer the TDEE method, I do agree with the second part of your comment.

Correct. I realize exactly that. It's building a profile based on your overall activity/ exercise. I've seen many people struggling to "eat back" their exercise calories when they're not hungry, and I think that creates additional problems. Learning to listen to our bodies is an important component to a healthy and mindful…

I never tested my ketones when on paleo, and I think my carbs were too high to be in ketosis, but im sure I flitted in and out at times. On keto I'm eating 20g total carbs. Significantly lower than the roughly 70g while on paleo.

1200 calories is really low, and not optimal for weight loss. I would use an online calculator (such as ruled.me) to determine your calorie consumption - based on your stats and activity level. Then, manually set your mfp calories. "Eating back" exercise calories is a ridiculous notion, in my opinion.
