I like just putting some lemon juice and a bit of balsamic vinegar on it

Thanks, i'll look into it :)

First of all, congrats on your weight loss so far! I have a few weigh loss rewards, some for along the way, and some for when I finally get there. When I finally get there, OBVIOUSLY new clothes. Along the way I'd like to get my belly button pierced, and also a tattoo. Also, a vacation somewhere nice where I can show off…

I was unaware of gluten sensitivies, and probably for the fourth time that I've now said it in this thread, as far as I had known, up until now, CD is genetic, and it has nothing to do with allergies. For the unteenth time, I'm asking why people are GF and it doesn't have to do with sensitivies or CD. I obviously…

THIS*** IS what I wanted to know....was it that hard???

Weight loss, I would say nutrition. For all around health; both are very important; no one more than the other.

Just saying. Read my original post. I'm referring to those who don't have CD. I know very well about CD ... I'm referring to those who do it, and don't have it. My god. How do I make this more clear? This is getting a bit frustrating.

You're so insightful. You must have a pretty narrow mind if you think all your answers can be found on a Google search engine.

Wow, all the harsh words on this thread. :noway:   I came on here asking a legitimate question. So, obviously that's what I'm trying to do...is understand what it's about. Lmao. I'm not judging anyone. I'm trying to figure out why all of a sudden everyone is going gluten free. Like I said in my original post,…

If this is so, why were the statistics I learned in, what was it, 2008, in my sophomore year in high school biology, so different today? Seems as though this "gluten free" thing picked up the last few years, not the last 50.

Am I the only one who realizes this thread was started last year?

" A while back, at the entrance of a gym, there was a picture of a very thin and beautiful woman. The caption was "This summer, do you want to be a mermaid or a whale?" The story goes, a woman (of clothing size unknown) answered the following way: "Dear people, whales are always surrounded by friends (dolphins, seals,…

So down! Need this extra motivation SW: (Starting weight) 190 CW: (Current weight) 183 GW: (Goal weight for the month) 177

I did this in an upstairs apartment, and it's totally fine. Also, the point of jumping jacks is for them to be controlled and light on your feet. If you do them right, you'll be just fine. I found this one of the quietest workouts I've done. Despite Jillian telling me to stop "phoning it in". That drove me a little nuts.…

No, it is beneficial to drink lots of water when you are trying to lose weight. Water retention is caused by glycogen, which holds on to water. This is normal. However, there are some foods that can cause you to retain water ...i.e. Sodium (this is why many people cut back) which will give you the typical bloating. It's…

Water retention is the act of your body "retaining" the water. So, it is the verb. Water weight is the units of water you are carrying by weight, so it is the noun. So, because of water weight, you may be weighing heavier, and this is caused by water retention. Make sense?

I'm kind of in the same boat as you, a little. I was doing really well (lost almost 15lbs) and I plateaued for 3+ months. I couldn't figure out why. So I got really discouraged and started stress eating, and gained all but 5 lbs back within a month. I totally reset my 'ticker', and am restarting...hopefully for the LAST…

Not from UK, but in general, I've found mozzarella pretty low cal/fat. I'm from Wisconsin, the diaryland, cheeseheads, so we have quite the variety of cheese.

Okay, okay, first of all. Yes, it's fine. Second of all, there is actually no evidence relating dietary cholesterol related to higher blood cholesterol levels. Usually, those who have excess fat, and have a poor diet have high cholesterol. Presumably, you either aren't, or are working on that. That's what the site is for,…

I'm a college student...let me take a crack at this. lol -Beans (not canned, the ones in the bag you prepare yourself) - Make soup (Cheapest one for me: spaghetti noodles, boullion cubes, frozen brocolli, some spices to taste, chicken) Can usually make 3 gallons worth for $8. You can even do this with just frozen veggies…

Wine? Pft, more like beer. Not the crap light stuff either.

This is what I was sorta thinking while reading some of the responses. While I understand that some people it just may not react well with their bodies, as far as I remember learning in biology sophomore year in high school, heh, that Celiac is genetic, not an allergy type thing.
-
Phew...Okay. LOTS of information, and I would like to thank every last one of you. This is NOT a troll post...it was a legitimate question. I totally UNDERSTAND doing GF for medical reasons, like Celiac Disease, or other things related (However, I was unaware there was an intolerance, but that makes perfect sense). I was…

Fad, noun; An intense and widely shared enthusiasm for something, esp. one that is short-lived; a craze. Just saying. Just because it is for your health, doesn't necessarily mean it's not a fad. & Thank you

:noway: I'm shocked....lol I LOVE coconut water. It's so refreshing. I love it on hot summer days, it really quenches my thirst. I love it with the pulp in it. I usually get it from Mexican stores :P

I would disagree that it isn't a fad, by definition. But thank you for your post. I don't know much about gluten, or Celiac Disease, so I wanted to better understand. Definitely not trying to knock GF, just really curious, and uninformed. Is gluten just in wheat, or is it in other products?
