  • if you don't feel like eating, maybe just have a protein shake on your way to work so your body has something to work off of
  • we camped a lot & totallyl eat healthy when camping. screw the burgers! cook chicken or shrimp on the grill & then grill peppers, onions & pinapple... YUM we even put corn on cob on grill
  • stuff your house with TONS of healthy food & get rid of anything that you should'nt be eating. then when you need something to eat right away you won't be temped to eat cookies or chips. go to costco & get lots of fruit & vege's and have basic staples so you can always throw something together. i always have shrimp &…
  • i heard you can't change the batteries in the polar & need to send it in. I didn't think about that but lucked out when i bought my Duo Sportline - it was $90 but totally worth it b/c i use it for lots of activities... like house cleaning! and it's simple enough to be able to figure out how to use it quickly but has all…

  • It's your body type so some people are just heavier in their legs - i'm one of them. You cannot lose weight in 1 particular place - you have to lose the weight all over. And my trainer says if you use weights on your thighs, you'll just bulk them up. use your normal body weight. Jillian Michael's has 1 awesome exercise…

  • I wouldn't count it b/c you normally burn calories by just being awake, normal walking, etc so that shoudl be considered part of your 1200 allowed calories (or whatever MFP says for you). You should only count it if you are going above & beyond your normal day.
  • correct. corn is a starch not a vegetable... costco sells a bag of stir fry veggies that are a big hit in my house and we make shrimp, chicken or pork stir fry. or use vegetables w/chicken to make a wrap
  • yes you need a chest strap HRM. typically you should be burning between 100 - 120 calories every 10 minutes.. anything over that is probably incorrect
  • my guide is to eat things that like they way they did when they were plucked, harvested or killed... so stick w/TONS of vegetables...fish, chicken, fruit, etc. also, remember that natural fat is good... and added fat (processed fat) is bad. So everytime you pick something that's low fat... they add sugar... STUFF your…
  • if you cheat... ask yourself.. do you want to move forward? or backwards? everytime you cheat, it will take you that much longer to lose the weight
  • i'd check the settings on your HRM b/c 700 in 30 minutes seems way too high.
  • start w/jillian michael's no more trouble zones... you use light weights (start w/3lb & work up to 5lbs) & your own body weight to help tone up. that dvd has been kicking my *kitten* for over a year now.
  • i like the packets that make the flavored tea, brewed ice tea, caffeine free diet pop (root beer, caffeine free dr pepper). There's gnc one that i've been buying b/c it was on clearance. stay away from juices
  • yes, i agree w/the other chic... slow down. when i ran my 1st mile, i was on an incline of 2 (because it's easier on my body & causes less 'slamming' down when i walk) and ran at a 5.2. if you are going for endurance...slow down. i would suggest focusing on your breathing because it will take your mind away from mentally…
  • it sound high. i'm 5'6 &177 lbs and burned maybe 350-400 when i do that dvd.
  • my trainer had me increase my protein & cut back on my carbs & i totally was there in your world... i cut back on the protein & added back in some healthy carbs... i'm back to normal now. He had me at 166 g of protein which is a lot. I am still trying to increase my protein just not tht high
  • SAUCONY'S SAUCONY'S SAUCONY'S.... i was about to buy a pair of what i considered comfy shoes & then saw one more pair to try one and I've bought them ever since. Saucony's are SO comfy with good cushion. I always baby my feet. i've tried other shoes since then in the store but they've never been able to beat the soft…
  • you don't have to do the actual p90x program... i do them when i workout when i need something different. they are defiintely hard but it's a challenge to work up to. if you are out of shape, jumping into something liek that is going to be hard to maintain afterwards. i recommend that you start off slowly so you ease into…
  • everytime i think of doing a 'cheat' i ask myself,,, do i want to move forward to set myself backward... and that seems to keep me in check. everytime i think of cheating with something that is X # of calories, i'm like "geez that would make my entire workout a complete waste'. and also tell yourself 'if it was easy to…
  • i do them with a heart rate monitor... i burn about 470 & do about 75% of the workout b/c i poop out on some of the jumps. I've 5'6 & 175 lbs....
  • i put it in my yogurt before i go to to work & it's defrosted by the time i eat it. it would work in cottage cheese also
  • if eating healthy & exercising is new to you, take baby steps so you can maintain it & your lifestyle won't go into shock. start cutting out the crap foods a little at a time
  • i remember putting my daughter in that vibrating chair & i'd do my reebok step tape with her watching me. she'd crack up at mommy jumping around crazy. and i bet holding her in your arms & pushing her up in the air & back down will work your arms
  • saucony's they feel like my feet are in hammocks...they're so cushy... ever since i've bought them and need a new pair,, i try on the others & end up w/sauconys again.

  • chicken & vegetables are you new best friend. stay away from pasta, bread, anything 'low fat' has added sugar so if it's good fat, then keep eating it.
  • It's all baby steps, especially if your eating habits were horrible before. those small steps like you've been doing - like the coke is perfect. if you jump into this & start dropping weight fast, you won't be able to maintain the lifestyle long term, will gain the weight back plus some. if you have issues staying under…
  • Don't cheat... then you'll be depressed about your friend & b/c you screwed up. Show your friend how much she's taught you & how strong you are by working out... it WILL make you feel better... One of the ways i can get myself to work out is to think of how much better I'll feel when i'm done b/c i worked out when i didn't…
