  • I have my weak moments where I do too. ;-)
  • If you burn more calories than you consume... you will lose weight. But you could be enjoying so much more food if you try to switch to some healthier options and fit them in to your day. Here's a visual I created a while back to help depict how one meal at Burger King could be transformed into a whole day's worth of food…
  • Fortunately, I have the luxury of working at home so making the change was easy for me. It was actually harder to work up the desire to eat something right away after getting the kids off to school. But I did change it all that next morning. It wasn't as big as it is now though. But it was big enough after having nothing…
  • My children are one of my motivating factors. They watch and take in everything they see. I want to set an example for healthy nutrition for the rest of their lives instead of them having to deal with health and weight issues later on. Another motivating factor is the way I feel. My stomach used to hurt (or was tender) all…
  • I use it when making pasta salads but you could also mix it with some light mayo, pinch of garlic powder and celery to make a chicken salad sandwich or a spread for crackers.
  • I wouldn't go so far as skipping dinner, but I would definitely skimp on it to save enough calories for chocolate before bed!!! LOL
  • I forgot to mention that I was also doing Taekwondo classes twice a week for 45 minutes. This also assisted in aggravating my Snapping Hip and bad knee. I only had one rest day per week.
  • You can see what I have for breakfast in the photo above, but lunch and dinner varies. Usually some sort of meat (mostly chicken) and larger servings of veggies. Taco salads are one of my favorite dinners because I can enjoy a very large meal with very few calories. I don't put cheese or sour cream on my taco salads…
  • Make some hard boiled eggs the night before and portion out some fruit or nuts, etc. If you don't have time for breakfast before leaving for work, take it with you! :)
  • What are you having for breakfast? Is it full of protein? If you are eating starchy carbs and sugars... it could be triggering false hunger.
  • I see you got the link to work. Just the words I need to hear right now. Thanks!
  • I might have to consider this. It's definitely something I need to put on my bucket list. :)
  • WOW! Now THAT'S inspiring!!!
  • Halle Berry's body inspires me! She's toned but curvy and feminine. :)
  • Fantastic NSV! It is always nice when someone notices and actually SAYS something. Good for you!
  • What an amazing job! Congrats and happy birthday!!!
  • One round was enough for me to drop the weight and tone up so I opted not to do a second round. Instead, I will be starting Brazil Butt Lift soon since that's the area that needs the most work right now. :)
  • I tried it a couple weeks ago to see if it would help give me a little energy since I've been feeling fatigued lately. It didn't work for me and actually made me feel foggy, dizzy and tired. I'll stick to coffee from now on. :)
  • For the most part, it looks like you have your head around eating healthier and have your portion sizes under control. My first suggestion would be to go in to your Diary Settings and add Sugar and Sodium to your nutrients tracked. This will help give you a better look at your meals. Looking at your lunch, I am assuming…
  • I have to agree. Skip the Spam, Ramen noodles, etc. Shop the perimeter of your local grocery store and look for fresh fruit, vegetables, lean meats and dairy. Try to stick to foods in their natural form and cook at home. Pass by anything in a box or can. Pre-package and processed foods will not assist in your weight loss…
  • I'm not a big believer in the magic 1,200 calorie number. Do what is right for your body... it will let you know what the right number is. With that said, 600 calories or less is basically a starvation diet and not recommended. This not only deprives your body of the basic nutrients it needs to function on a daily basis...…
  • As a Vikings fan... I have no place to comment. But.... I sooooo dislike the Cowgirls that I couldn't help but smile at this pic. :)
  • Go to Settings and then select "Update diet/fitness profile". You will see an option in there for "Lightly Active" which even gives "nurse" as an example. :) Select "Active" if you feel you will be walking/lifting more than that.
  • I agree with the others about changing your activity level in your settings. Marking it as exercise could give you the false impression of being able to consume more calories than you are actually burning... and any progress may backfire. Good luck with your new job!
  • Great story and fantastic job on getting down to 175! I thought losing the final 5 lbs would be hard too... but it was actually pretty easy if you follow a good diet & exercise routine. Good luck to you! Edit to add: Gaining 5 lbs back was pretty easy too. :) But I'm working on getting them off again. I hope that it was as…
  • I use it to replace anything I can make with ground beef. Burgers, meat sauces, tacos, taco salads, chili, etc. :)
  • I cancelled my membership to the Clean Your Plate club over a year ago... and I haven't felt guilty about it since. :) Good for you!!!
  • I have to disagree as well... at least in my own experience. I used to be one of those people who skipped breakfast and lunch. I was tired all the time and gained weight. Once I changed it up to having a large breakfast and light lunch (no more skipping meals), I lost almost 10 pounds in 3 short weeks (without exercise).…
