  • I love Oxygen! They always have the best info. Good luck!
  • You program it for your height and weight and it calculates your target heart rate, keeps track of your HR as you're working out, and a running tally of calories burned as your working out. I use a Polar F4. Polar makes a squillion different models but I just needed something simple.
  • It was great! I played outside with my hubby and kids today. Then we came in and I worked out as they cheered me on. I love snow days.
  • I wear a heart monitor that calculates calories burned b/c I do DVDs also. Because of the nature of the workouts, calorie burn is different for everyone depending on effort exerted etc. I log it into exercise under circuit training.
  • HAHAHA!!!! I SAID THE SAME THING!
  • I passed Thursday's caffeine challenge :drinker:
  • I wasn't able to do my last chance workout yesterday but I'm gonna crush the rest of the challenges this week.
  • Good Morning Ladies!!!! I got lost in the chaos that was my weekend. I know I waaay overdid it by grabbing quickie snacks throughout the day and then inhaling everything at night. Now I have PMS..:grumble: ...am I the only one who craves salt and chocolate together during this time? Anyhow, I'm going to kill my 110%…
  • Welcome Keith and good luck!
  • :flowerforyou: Way to go! Make that a spa pedicure...you deserve it!
  • Good Afternoon! Well, yesterday's no challenge was a bust. I was running around more than I thought I would and hadn't packed enough snacks so I ate cookies....alot of em. Yeah *sigh*. Then my kid's school was having a fundraiser at Chick-fil-a and just my luck outta salads. Enter combo #1 with lemonade.:grumble: Uff!…
  • Welcome!:flowerforyou: You'll love this site.
  • It seems that everyone I know has that "problem". I kind of liken it to people who see their children everyday. We know they're getting bigger but its not as shocking as it is to those who don't see them so often. When I look in the mirror, I don't see myself as clearly as I do in photos. It was a photo that shocked me…
  • Kelynn, do whatever you must to take care of yourself. My close friend has a gluten intolerance and I see what she has to go through to keep from getting sick. :flowerforyou:
  • Checking in - 3.2 lbs GONE! SW 168.2 CW 165.0 Wow! You all are the greatest! :flowerforyou: I had been stuck between 168-169 since March. I was beyond frustrated. I love the support and inspiration I get here. My water intake has been so much better b/c of that challenge. I have been more motivated during my…
  • Hola y bienvenida! You've found a great group of supporters here. Sounds like you've already started on the right path by changing your eating habits. Walk a little everyday and you'll see changes in no time. I wish you great success! :flowerforyou:
  • I tried the cookie diet last year. It is very restrictive in calories if you're on the "medical program" in which you're supervised by a doctor. The "lifestyle program" (which I tried) puts you in a broad range of 800-1200 calories a day b/c you are SUPPOSED to eat a dinner consisting of lean protein and 5 c of veggies in…
  • I feel your pain. I joined last year and just started posting and journaling last week for the first time in a looooong time. Congrats on turning around now. A major plus is that you know exactly what to do to lose that weight. Welcome back! :flowerforyou:
  • My family loves that show! Even the kids. It's crazy how they train to compete. That takes an amazing amount of discipline.
  • [/quote] I LOVE fitness, anything I will try at least once and hang on to the ones that burn the most calories! BUT I know for me I need the weight lifting!!! I try to do cardio 5 to 6 days a week and I lift as heavy and to failure two times for each muscle group (the weaker areas I do more) three days a week! I do NOT…
  • After multiple abdominal surgeries, I absolutely must get all of my fiber in or my body suffers. I eat multigrain bread, Fiber One products and once a day I do a meal replacement shake that has a high fiber content. Here's a link for info on the shake and fiber supplement. http://myshakeology.com/esuite/home/fitsalsera/
  • Ufff!!! After a good day, I just gave into mine. Usually I do herbal tea (something fruity) but tonite I had 2 small turkey meatballs on a slice of bread. :grumble:
  • You look fantastic! Congrats!:flowerforyou:
  • Got 10 glasses of water in yesterday! Today I pulled out the old Pilates DVDs....ouch. I have muscles hurting that I forgot existed. I'll probably hear Mari's voice in my sleep saying "pull in that powerhouse" My suggestion for Sunday is to do 15-30 minutes of stretching or yoga. We have been working our booties…
  • Great job! :flowerforyou: I can't wait til I can fit my wedding band again. Right now it only fits my pinkie:sad:
  • My mom is a baker and she uses Splenda Sugar Blend for sugar cookies. It gives the same texture with half the sugar content.
  • Ooooh! That's nice! I can't get another till I hit my goal weight. It's been good motivation since I really want it.
  • Ughh!!! I love/hate Belgian chocolates! My cousin came over b/c she's been feeling down and...she brought Belgian chocolates.:grumble: Soooo....now my tummy hurts and I feel bad for killing my great eating today. On the other hand...I did an intense 90 minute workout which was great. And I'm going dancing with my…
  • GORGEOUS! Congrats!!:flowerforyou:
  • I love the water idea. I find its easier to get it in during the colder seasons if I drink unsweetened herbal tea also. (raspberry zinger, yum:drinker: ) That was a suggestion from my doctor. :flowerforyou:
