I agree with Pink Panda. What about the entire "Chit Chat/Just for Fun" message board -- very little on that board has anything directly related to fitness. But it's a way for community members to connect.

OP, I see from your earlier comments and your profile that you "haven't slept more than 3-4 hours/night in 2.5 years." That seems far more worrisome than reaching a plateau with your weight loss. A lack of sleep can hinder your physical and mental well-being. I know you are skeptical of doctors, but I would encourage you…

LOL, "disturbingly spoiled prospects" sounds like a negative thing. I'm sorry to the OP that your prospects were spoiled. And I respectfully agree with those who have recommended you try logging accurately to get a better sense of what you are consuming. I'd also suggest adding more variety to your diet. I like Starbucks…

15 min. Stationary bike, 30 min. Elliptical, plus circuit training

Feel free to add me! My diary is open to friends and I've been logging everything for the past 90 days and have lost 23 pounds. Um, except for this past weekend. I had Halloween candy overdoses and made poor restaurant choices. But I'm back on track today.

I worked at at Wendy's for several years when I was younger and I never got tired of the food! I got a free meal for every shift, and I always pigged out: frosties, fries, spicy chicken sandwiches! I think that it's ridiculous that you only get a 50% discount but maybe it will prevent you from eating too much. My…

My response is the same as those who posted already: I go to the gym around 5:00 or 5:30 AM (while my partner and kids are still sleeping). I'm home by 7 to get the kids up and ready for school and myself ready for work. I end up needing to go to sleep earlier in the evening because I get up so early, but it's not a big…

Congratulations! On a shallow note, where did you get that gorgeous black halter dress? I love it!

Your daughter is lovely! I'm the same age as you and also a mom (though not a SAHM), and I'm always happy to have more friends. I log on daily and am looking to lose around 60 pounds (I've lost 21 so far).

Ginger (tastes like soap to me) tea (reminds me of being sick since that's the only time I drink it) watermelon if it is at all too mushy or overripe tuna fish (I like raw tuna ie. sashimi though) cottage cheese But I think I like all vegetables, including the ones mentioned here (kale, avocado (yes, I know that is really…

45 minute circuit training group class at the Y, 2 miles stationary bike, 1 mile walking at an incline on the treadmill
-
That's awesome! Congratulations!
-
Very inspirational! Thanks for sharing your story and photos here.

2.5 miles on the treadmill this morning (alternating between jogging and walking at an incline). I'm not logging this at exercise, but my partner and I are going on a walking ghost tour tonight that will include at least 90 minutes of walking, so, you know, that's better than sitting on the couch watching TV!

My issue was actually more with the sexually explicit (and extremely offensive) post.
-
Wow, and they're gone! That was fast!

I just reported the offensive posts to the moderators (my first time doing so on MFP). This is the weirdest thread I've ever read on here.

Ooooh, yes, yum! Croque monsieur et croque madame! and omlettes aux fines herbes!

really fresh salads and vegetables, le fromage, le pain, lots of meat (charcuterie), of course les patisseries, pure delicious butter, good strong coffee (le cafe creme!) and regional dishes like bouillabaisse, um and maybe fondue although perhaps that is technically more Swiss or Belgian? Actually, I remember eating…

I'm 5'10" and 232 (down from 253) and I've been pretty consistently eating between 1800-2000/day, which seems quite a bit higher than the rest of you who've posted here. But I *think* it's working, I feel healthy and now that I recently upped my activity level, I'm losing gradually . . .

Of course, but it's nice to find folks with whom you share things in common, and the OP in particular has specific concerns (upcoming surgeries, etc.) where it may especially be important to find people who have gone through similar experiences or at the very least are understanding and supportive. There are all sorts of…

That's awesome! Just fyi, "NSV" means "Non-scale victory," so what you are reporting could actually be called a "SV" I guess -- a scale victory. :)

My wife and I were legally married in New York. However, we recently relocated to Missouri (for professional and financial reasons as well as to be closer to family). I don't think marriage equality is coming to this state for a long time, and it's weird to have people look at me strangely when I mention "my wife" (they're…

Hi, I'm not trans but feel free to add me! I just wanted to say that you should go over to the LGBT groups if you haven't already, there are a bunch of trans guys and trans allies. Good luck on your journey!
-
Congratulations! You look really healthy and happy!
-
Wow, that is all awesome! I hope you enjoy your birthday!

What a nice daughter!! That is so sweet.

Check out this thread! Lots of good ideas: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1443314-what-s-in-your-lunch-box-for-lunch-and-snack I usually bring salad or a sandwich or assorted items (cheese, fruit, veggies, nuts) -- it depends on what I feel like! Today I have a salad from Costco (their kale-broccoli-brussels…

I'm enjoying seeing what everyone else has packed for lunch! My lunch is a kale-brussels sprouts- broccoli salad with pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries and poppyseed dressing (it's a salad kit from Costco), and I have a few slices of turkey pastrami. Breakfast was pistachios, raisins and coffee. I do have some multigrain…
