If it helps them then shouldn't have to ignore them, I just see people on my friends list that say yep processed stuff and carbs and sugar are evil and they cut them but don't monitor their intake then they wonder why they're not losing weight or that they binge because the neglected to learn some semblance of control. My…

What? It is very much psychological and willpower focused. I no longer need 2400 calories a day to eat because I had the willpower to reduce my intake. Biologically I would of stayed at 263 lbs if I listened to my body.
-
I really don't think it is belittling others if it works for you but then again you have people step up to the plate and say that all processed foods are evil and you will in fact get fat when you eat them and you won't be able to control your self. Food is food and we've let it take such a hold over us that in turn we…

For long term success it comes down to moderation. It comes down to learning that you can enjoy the things you love but not in the over abundant amount you used to have. It comes down to learning how to fill your life with all types of food and not just a singular set. It's learning when you're actually hungry and when…

They do in fact subside but really who only fills their day with junk food?
-
Are you saying they don't go away? Because they do, I had them badly when I first started reducing my intake and now not so much.
-
So exercising control is a good thing to do. If you over indulge then exercise control and that's different for each person. Some people need to give it up completely and some people can have a little bit here and there but in the end the food didn't make us do it. We like food, we eat for enjoyment as well as nourishment.…

That is well, that is wow... lol. I even love how they put limbo in there.
-
You're still restricting, do you not eat any carbs at all now? Or do you watch your intake and try to stay close to your target?
-
Pu, I wonder if your situation was the same as mine and that might be the reason why you were still hungry and /or craving. When I first started to lose weight I gave up cheese. Vermont has great cheese and it's yummy. I was over eating it with a lot of apples and grapes. My favorite combination of cheese and fruit. I had…

Yes, it is mothers day tomorrow. I'm really dreading it :( my mom has moved on to her expensive gift phase.
-
Yep we do because overall it shows how our brains processes pleasure.
-
We can very well have a reasonable discussion about this. My point is that people are looking for something to blame, before it was fat, now it's carbs and even more sugar. Would you like to take a guess on what the next boogymen is going to be that makes us lose our senses and eat with no abandon? And yes it does come…

It works for a lot of people. No need to demonize food in the end. If it's about control then fine you need to let them go but the comments like carbs make you eat and gain weight and are bad! It just blows me away.
-
A majority of my carb source was that today. I took a day and just enjoyed myself. Coolatta, some oreos, some popcorn yet i stayed in my calorie goal.
-
Again, untrue or is that just a personal opinion because you can't control yourself around those types of food?
-
There is nothing wrong with carbs. Carbs cause you to eat more and lose control!?! Oh my how terrible. How terribly untrue. When do we stop blaming the food for our over indulgence?
-
I want chinese fooood sooo bad!

This is a good attitude, what I don't like is the fear mongering that goes on in these documentaries. I have a friend who eats clean avoids soda and other processed foods and she's fighting advanced cancer. Clean eating didn't save her from it. Life is going to happen to you no matter what you do.
-
Common sense tells me if I eat well and in moderation I'll live a healthy life. Also my doctor is pretty happy as well. No extremes or restrictive dieting.
-
I have a public bathroom phobia too lol but mine is a bit more extreme. I go to the bathroom once at home on the morning then I hold it until I get home in the evening.
-
That's a good idea, I'm going to bring my 10lber to work and do that too! Thanks Hey!

Guilty about what? Sitting all day is not good for your body, you should get up and move around even if you don't do any exercise. And, who said they're replacing their exercise with this? I don't like to be sedentary but my job requires me to be at my desk most of the day when all I want to do is get up and go outside. I…
-
Resistance bands are great, I can pull it under my desk, but sometimes people think I'm doing weird stuff down there ha.. Walking in place is also great along with stretching and just getting up and shaking your body a little bit. I still want one of those standing desk thingies.
-
I think I'd be too ill to perform after doing that.
-
And what others are those? Anyone who disagrees with the OP? Anyone who's blunt? I wonder about this mentality too. Not a lot of people here sugar coat things. I'm sorry if that hurts the OP's feelings. I'm sorry if she actually gets called out on her claims. This is an open forum, to exchange different opinions. OP is…

Again, not hearing what you want to hear turns into an attack? You asked people for suggestions and they gave it to you. It's hard to believe that you are in fact actually eating that much.
-
This! Moderation is the key for all types of food and it took me a long time to learn that.
-
Maybe so much restriction isn't working for you? Why not try eating regular meals if fasting isn't working. Can you prelog a menu for yourself and eat through out the day instead of restricting. And why can you not have a treat here and there? For me, restricting so hard led to binges so now I have a little bit here and…
