Oh honey... do you read postsecret.com? There is a postcard on there that could have come from you, and the community response was so supportive! Just know that you are not alone, and that you are a good person, despite what she might have told you over the years. People are going to tell you to leave her, and I bet you…

Great job, and inspiring story! I love how your smile grows as you get healthier and stronger!

Once a week, and I am compulsive about trying to keep the same variables: same scale, I ensure it zeroes out, similar clothes, same times of day, same breakfast, etc. And I remind myself: it's just a number. My goal is to be strong an healthy, not be a number.

Why do we have to put labels on people anyway? I find it much more respectful when fitness instructors ask, "who is new in class?" or "who is new to me?" and describe different levels of difficulty for moves as "beginner, intermediate and advanced." Just my thoughts.

These are all great ideas! I went out with a friend on Friday, and read the menu ahead of time. It had the extra benefit of me not having to pull out my reading glasses at the table LOL! I knew exactly what I was going to order, and made sure not to eat all of it. Had great leftovers today too! I know some folks who…

I stepped on the scale at my doctor's office after about a year. I weighed 180, which was the highest I'd ever been post babies. And that's with regular exercise! I had been fooling myself, wearing lower and lower cut tops, thinking I could distract everyone from my fat with my bust LOL! So I said to the doctor, "Oh, it's…

There is no magic food. That said, Olive Oil, she's my goyle! LOL! I really enjoy dipping my bread in oil with herbs instead of spreading butter on it. It is a bit heathier, and has more flavor that way. But again, there is no magic food. Diversify, and like was mentioned earlier, going over by 30-60 calories won't hurt…

It's not about the food. It's about control, and he is feeling like he has lost it with you. I agree with those who say you can compromise. We have two kinds of milk in my house. I also eat smaller portions of pizza, etc. at least once a week. And hey, I'm from Buffalo, so I eat wings too LOL! But overall, the junk food is…

I never leave the house without it! But just a little bit because ::ew:: when i sweat and wipe my face off, I don't want crud on my towel. Just a little mascara and eyeliner, thank you very much! I will flush and look good from that LOL!

Don't give up! Take it slow! If that was your first outting, good for you for making it through 15 minutes! I see so many girls try to blast through a ton of classes in one week, and never return to the gym! How about starting on the treadmill, just walking? Build up your endurance! Also, talk with the instructor. Maybe…

I hate "hungry" days! Sometime I feel like an old lady in a nursing home, living from meal to meal! Try to stay busy and focus on your goal and want you WANT instead of what you don't want. Think of how beautiful you are! You can do it! A nice cup of hot tea helps too!

I have lightly padded fingerlerless Nikes too, and love them. I actually got them because I have carpal tunnel, and do my pushups & planks on my knuckles, and I would slide on my mat when I sweat, and the gloves prevent that. I use them for classes where I may be using weights or doing planks or whatnot, and am ready for…

I don't think there are any juices that cure stupidity. I juice because the micro nutrients are super-high in anti-oxidants, which makes my cells better able to fight off cancer. Kale is full of iron, which is really good for you too. I juice for breakfast approx 4-5 times a week, and usually my recipe is something like…

I had a pair and wore them all the time. Never lost an ounce, but I found them motivating because I felt like I was working hard. I also think it increased my flexibility because I was warmer. I stopped wear them and started doing MFP and found real success! That said, I saw a girl at the gym with them this week and…

I tried many, many times, and I also loved smoking. You have to have it made up in your head first that that's what you are going to do, not matter how you do it. That's really the key. It's a cognitive approach. Focus on the positive: What do you WANT? Clean lungs, good health, clean air going in and out of your lungs. If…

Have you been diagnosed with migraines? I get them pretty regularly, and overall, diet and exercise helps. That is, the severity and frequency of them go down when I am in better shape. But when they come on, if I am exercizing, they are bad, and I think, for me, it is because of the pressure while I am involved with my…

I juice for breakfast about four times a week and love it! I was drinking too much for a while, and actually gaining weight, but I have cut back. it's just so darned good for you! There are so many great recipes! Good luck with your fast!
