I have magic bullet and I find that I don't like to use ice because it always seems to stay "icy". I use frozen fruit or raw fruit and add greek yogurt. It makes it nice and thick. I also use almond milk in mine. Freeze a cup of coffee for an hour if you want coffee flavored

I feel your pain. Just turned 53. I started getting symptoms right when I hit 50. Yes, weight loss is hard but not impossible. I gained 6 pounds a year 50-52 for a total of 12. I'm only 5'2" so it seemed like more. Last fall I had to buy new clothes because mine no longer fit. When that happened I said that's it. By next…

This whole feed made me laugh out loud!!!! I agree, you can call yourself whatever you want, but it does sound pretty funny. Not sure why you really posted that, but good luck with any food plan you choose. I also agree with what said about labels. However, I want to be some kind of "czar" like the health and fitness czar…

I use MFP to calculate calories burned because it takes into account your age, gender and weight. So if I would put in 30 minutes on the treadmill at 4.0MPH, MFP would calculate calorie burn. I know there are other monitors people suggest that are more accurate, but I already have a fitbit so I wouldn't purchase another…

I have the fitbit one since January and I really like it. I know others are concerned about the small size and losing it. I do "lose" mine in the house, but then I find it within a few minutes. I lose my phone though too and its huge (I have the note). Dropped my fitbit in the toilet once (yuck). Got it out IMMEDIATELY,…

Thanks for graph Aaron K. I had similar experience. I went up and down the first 9 weeks and was down 3 pounds total. I was ready to give up. Week 10 down 7 total! Continued to lose going up a little once in awhile. By week 20, another 7 down. Hit goal! My food and exercise was consistent each week so I had no clue why…

I increased 50 calories per day for a week at a time (1200, 1250, 1300, 1350). I am going to see if I maintain and if I continue to loose I will go to 1400. That may seem low to some, but I am only 5'2", 53 years old, menopausal and 102 pounds. I hit goal 2 months ago. That is just what is working for ME.

Find something to distract yourself that will require you to use your hands and focus. If that doesn't work drink water, chew gum, or just eat something that isn't high in calories. If it is true hunger eat something small so you don't feel deprived. Good luck....

I agree with the others. I would not eat it back. I would have never lost if i did.

There is no such thing as a dumb question :-) I say weigh after. That's the amount you are actually consuming.

I have the fit bit one and I am very happy with it. I have been using it since January 2014. I decided on the fit bit one after a lot of research. It seemed to consistently get the highest rating. I gotmine on ebay for around $73.

No 125 is not underweight .....i just had to second that.

At 5‘5" 125 is probably the correct weight for you. 110 sounds a little low. Stay healthy and strong and be careful not to relapse into an eating disorder. Plateaus are to be expected, and you should also NEVER go below 1200 calories. Early on a did that a couple times and I think it sabotaged me a little(little or no loss…

I am female, and about your age, so I am going to share my experiences. When I started on this journey, I started working out 4-5 times a week and logging 1200 calories a day. The first few weeks I saw very little change. I even went UP a few ounces the first week. I was ready to quit. I figured why do all that work for no…

23 pounds is an AMAZING accomplishment and you should be VERY proud of yourself. You said that you are 1/4 of the way there, so keep up the good work. People will eventually notice and so will you. I was almost at my goal before I noticed. We are just too hard on ourselves. People often don't say anything for a variety of…

I am in week 21 and I hit goal a few weeks ago. I stayed as close to my calorie goal for the day as possible. That's not to say that I didn't go under some days and over on others, but I was within 50 calories of my plan. That was what worked for me. Even though I was consistent with calories and work outs per week, my…

Thanks for the feedback. When I change my goal to 0 pounds per week (maintenance) it gave me 1450 NOT 1350. I typed it in wrong. Maintenance is for 5'2 105 pounds. Weight loss was slow at 1200/per day with a minimum of 4 one hour workouts per week.

Thanks for all the posts regarding "shorties". I am 1 pound from goal and already stressing about gaining during maintenance. I am 5'2" and eating 1200 calories a day. Lost 9 pounds in 14 weeks working out 4+ times a week. THANKS for the tips on adding calories in slowly instead of going straight to the maintenance…

Weigh yourself at the same time of day under the same conditions. In the morning, before eating or drinking anything, wearing the same thing (or nothing). Fluctuations will still happen based on different circumstances. I eat the same amount of calories each day and work out the same number of times each week. I still…

I have had the EXACT same problem. 1200 calories for the past 14 weeks or so and I was fine after the first week. I am 1.2 pounds from my goal (I had 10 to lose). I work out the same and eat the same, but in the past week I have been truly hungry more often than not. It is becoming harder to stay within 1200 calories. Once…
