Thanks Angie! I sent you my weigh in. I hope that Jamaica is doing ok.

9/12/11 weigh in - 152.0 same as last week but since I was on vacation Tues-Friday, I definitely won't complain :)

Good morning ladies, The last time I tried something new was probably two weeks ago when I began c25k. I have never been a runner, but I will be starting week 3 today :)

I met my oldest friend in preschool in September of 1981. I can't believe it has been 30 years. Our lives are very different now, but we still stay in contact via FB. I saw her and her family last month at a baby shower for her younger brother's girlfriend.

Hello ladies, I am catching up as I just got back from being out of town since Tuesday morning. There was no cell phone service - I had to drive 20 minutes down the street from my cabin to the local Walmart to get my messages once a day! It was nice to be away, but I know I slacked so time to get back on track!! Apple and…

My lab Mindy is only 70 lbs, but she thinks I'm playing a game with her when I do it! It definitely adds a different degree of difficulty!

Good luck! I am walking my ninth Race for the Cure in Cleveland on Saturday, September 10!

Three minutes! My dog thought I was playing a game with her, which added an extra degree of difficulty IMO

We can weigh in as late as Monday morning but no later so that Brandy can get the weekly points together.

I went to a local running store that provided complimentary gait analysis. Most specialty running stores will do that. I highly recommend it to everyone. I have flat feet and tend to walk on the outsides of my heels. I got shoes with the support that I need and have never regretted it!
-
I purchased a HRM last month - LOVE IT!! I also had Gaitt analysis done last year, before I even started seriously working out, and I buy the running shoes that are best for me, regardless of price (Brooks does put them on clearance when the new models come out, so I've saved some money that way, but I would pay full price…

Thank you to Gary for organizing this challenge and thank you to Sonia, my team captain, for keeping us on track!!!! Congratulations to everyone who stayed the course, and a special congratulations to the winners (losers?!) For me, this challenge ensured that I did some type of exercise every single day because I had a…

Loree, It will get easier. You will notice as time goes on that you can do more and more at once. Just keep at it. Break them up into sets if you have to. Break the sets up during the day if you have to. Stop, take a break, drink some water. You will do awesome and feel so much stronger by the end of the month! Happy…

While I drink a lot of water (8-10 cups a day), I usually flavor it with propel. I am trying to drink more plain water and hope to continue to do so during this challenge. Also, four months ago I drank diet pepsi from morning until night. Now I am down to one 24 oz bottle every morning. I would like to get down to one 12…

Congratulations Julie!!! And congrats to all of the ladies that saw the challenge through August. It was great meeting all of you, and I look forward to continuing to hear about your successes and encouraging you through the more difficult times in the future. August was a great month!!!

My favorite smell is the smell of fall. It's hard to explain but Bath and Body makes a candle fragrance called Leaves which is pretty close :) For me, fall means the start of football (Go Browns!) as well as my birthday. I love the fall chilly evenings with the windows open, wearing a sweatshirt and snuggling under a…

It looks like 2 liters equals 67.6 ounces. When I hear 8 glasses of water, I think of eight 8 oz glasses of water (64 total oz of water). So I think 2 liters is right there!

QOTD: What is your first memory of being very excited? My first memory of being very excited is the year that the cabbage patch kids were very popular (early 80s). They were nearly impossible to get but my sister and I both wanted one so badly for Christmas. We didn't have a lot of money growing up as my dad was a cake…

Welcome and feel free to add me! I am also 5'1. I started MFP in May at my highest weight ever - 178. I am currently down to 155 and my goal weight is 120. I was always very thin in high school and even college. And then real life began - lol. Anyway, would love to encourage and motivate each other. Good luck!

Congratulations on your new leadership responsibilities Angie! And welcome to all of the Shining Diamonds!

I am actually doing exactly what I said I wanted to do in the ninth grade. I am a CPA. In ninth grade, I didn't even really know what a CPA was but that's what I said I wanted to be. I don't regret my decision at all. My career choice plays to my strengths, and there are so many different opportunities. I started off my…

I just bought it on Amazon a couple of weeks ago for $63 with free shipping. Shipping was a little bit slow, took about a week and a half, but the price was much less than what it would have cost me at Best Buy.

I got the Polar FT4. Nothing fancy, nothing expensive, but it came highly recommended to me by some of the ladies here as well as my cousin, who has been very successful on MFP. I've had it for one week now and can honestly say I've worked harder than I have the last couple of months.

How are you going to kick some serious "bootay" in the next four weeks? Well, I just got my HRM last week and it has really kicked my bootay into gear regarding working out. I've always hated working out, hated to sweat, hated to be sore, etc. etc. Well, I am finding out quickly that I'm willing to do that extra five…
