You're always super nice and helpful.

I definitely do. I've found that bamboo sheets are heavenly on my skin. They feel like a silk-cotton blend and stay cool. So nice.

^ Yep. Time of day stuff is more "if you're eating late at night, you've probably already eaten your meals for the day and are just snacking unnecessarily because you're bored". If you're just eating dinner later, then it doesn't matter. Calories in, calories out. That's the key.

Is the wedding stressing you out? Because that can give you more hunger, believe it or not, and causes your body to retain fat. I would consider doing some meditation or yoga or some other relaxing, centering exercise multiple times a week. Additionally, you might consider opening up your MFP food diary so you can get some…

God I hope not, I LOVE carbs haha. :) Carbs are an essential part of a diet. They are the quicker-burning energy that should be paired with protein for day-long satiety and energy.

Kind eyes!

It's impossible to know exactly how it affects the brain, but for my medication, the chemicals and areas of the brain stimulated can cause altered fat retention, lowered metabolism, and increased appetite, as well as fatigue. As well as swelling/edema, which is annoying as hell.

Amen sister friend.

I just go out of my way to not mention that I watch what I eat. When I was very anorexic, people never noticed. I didn't make a big deal out of it because I didn't want them to notice...and boom, they didn't. I know that my behavior was unhealthy, but that isn't the point. The point is, it's possible to be watching your…

Thank you, this is a helpful thing to think about. It's hard for me to look forward in a healthy way. I tend to let my anxiety take over and start playing an epic game of "what if" and basically "iffing" myself to death. What made me start losing weight was the fear that, even eating normally, I was going to keep gaining…

I'm sorry you're able to relate! But thank you for your message. :) I'm not really sure what I should be eating, to be honest. I feel like my medications screw with my metabolism and the way my body processes food (weight gain is a very, VERY common side effect of Lyrica and a couple of my other meds). I feel like I'm just…

Unfortunately, it's not just a "woman thing". Go check out the Chive on Thursdays. There are a lot of guys who have bought into it for some reason and it's now a "thing". It's just a crappy thing.

^^^^^^^ Ding, ding. We have a winner. I have to be at 18 BMI or below with no little-to-no leg muscle to have a thigh gap. This is an unhealthy obsession and doesn't belong on this site!

It sounds like you have had your epiphany. I look forward to seeing the amazing progress you make. I have no doubt that you will succeed.

If I could pay you to explain this to people, I would. Being in a relationship doesn't mean that you no longer have other sorts of relationships in your life. If two people agree that sexual relationships are acceptable to have outside the marriage or partnership or whatever, then it's not cheating. Cheating is dishonest…

I think some people just aren't made for monogamy. They crave the chase and the thrill of flirting and new sex, but love their partners dearly. Often, the relationships don't work out because one partner gets jealous. That's why communication is SUPER important. The cookie-cutter relationship doesn't work for everyone. And…

This week's weigh-in puts me at 137.4! I've lost a pound. :) My pants are fitting much better, and some are loose! I can't wait to get down to my old size of 26/size 2. :) My butt is too big right now. Haha!

Oh baby, I brought the spaetzle and the tzatziki. You just have to bring the heat.

This was well-said. :) Thank you for the clarification. I tried to express my worries while still giving you the benefit of the doubt. A lot of people just use "thin" as a derogatory statement, just as a lot of people use it as a positive one. Really, it's just a shape! I wish it didn't carry bad connotations, because it…

Yes! "Sl*t Brownies"? (Chocolate chip cookie dough on bottom, oreos in middle, brownie mix poured over the top, then baked.)

I think I say this every time a thread like this comes up. Take the number of pounds you "gained" in a day, multiply by 3500. That's how many EXTRA calories you would have to have eaten. OP--take a day, say Sunday, and use that day to average all your weights for the week. Consider that average your "weight" for the week.…

NO BRO SHAMING. Women aren't animals, we are responsible for our own actions! Him dressing like that doesn't excuse a woman's behavior! (I'm kind of being facetious, but serious at the same time.)

I would like to lose around 10-15 lb by Thanksgiving. It depends on how I look. (I mostly just want to lose a couple inches from my hips and thighs, everything else is okay. Darn there being no spot-reducing...)
