  • Lisa is by far my favorite name. If I have a daughter, provided that my partner agrees, I'm naming her Lisa, possibly short for Elisabeth. I don't know what I would choose. I used to hate my name, Paige, because it was hard to pronounce with braces and a lisp and it's easy to make stupid paper jokes. It's also my middle…
  • I used to get this all the time. My brother talked to me about loosening up my muscles when I'm working out because that's what he had to learn in the army. I realized that I was clenching my teeth and keeping my shoulders really tense. I've made more of an effort to relax the muscles in my face, arms, and shoulders, and…
  • I'm 4'9 and I lost on 1200 a day, but now I am actually gaining on 1200. Slowly, but I am. I typically eat 1100 or so, up to 1600 on exercise days because I try to eat more of my calories back. It's difficult for me to stay within my macros on 1200 calories but even if I have a perfect week, getting as close to 1200 as I…
  • You're doing great! Congratulations. :)

  • Lately it's been bothering me to hear pregnant women/people telling pregnant women, "as long as it's healthy!" My cousin posted an article on FB about special needs parents, which she is, and this was included. It's great to hope your baby is healthy, but if there is something abnormal (I hate using the phrase "wrong with…
  • "That's legit" or any variation thereof. "I bought some legit shoes." etc. The word was cool like four years ago among skaters but it's been taken over by annoying people across the grid. Also applicable to "boss." Whenever I argue with my sister (or whenever she argues with anyone) she tries to end it by saying "Oh my…
  • Between twice a day and every few days. I've always had tummy trouble. When I was little, I never went. Then in the past few years, I go too often or (tmi) have humongous poops that clog the toilet by themselves, no paper or anything... Oops. Anyway, I started eating Activia to maybe help it out but all it's done is make…
  • Six miles from my house, about a mile and a half from my school, and on the way there/back. I just go after school and on Saturdays.
  • Mine is more like a capital D, but now it's been kinda squished. Still the big roundness though. My hips do that. I always wondered if it was from years of too-tight undies and pants.
  • I know exactly how you feel and it is a very difficult mindset to get out of. Just remember that you can change any of the things you mentioned, and you ARE beautiful. I looked at your pictures and you're very pretty, your hair is gorgeous, and you have a great smile. You have so much going for you, don't let yourself…
  • Your face is red for the next half hour. You feel it the next day with every step you take and every stair you climb. You sleep so well that night, better than you have ever slept before.
  • For the most part, I couldn't care less what everyone else is doing, but I do peek at their machines to see their speed, level, burn, etc. Just curiosity, no judgement. I also wish my gym would enforce proper attire. People come in all the time with sandals and open toed shoes on, trying to use the weights or machines. I'm…
  • I do part of my cardio before my weights. I will warm up on the treadmill and do about ten minutes on the elliptical, go do all my strength, then back to the elliptical for 20 minutes, then cool down on the treadmill. Just personal preference, I feel like it helps me get going.
  • Playing the Food Network! I'm tryna get my sweat on and all I see is Paula Deen making dessert! More motivation, I guess. I also wish my gym had some air freshener available. I always want to go back to the weight room but after my sister's boyfriend and his friend get done, it smells so awful I can hardly breathe.
  • This is very disconcerting. I think the FDA should shrink that margin. I can understand variance in restaurant food (add a spoonful of butter, it may be closer to 2 tbs than 1, etc) but i think mass-produced, pre-packaged meals should have a smaller standard deviation.
  • You actually look forward to snack time and your baby carrots.
  • A chocolate chip Eggo with Nutella is my favorite snack in the whole world. I actually worked out extra hard just so I could have it. It's not that bad for you though, only 200 calories. Usually I just stick with multigrain Eggos and sugar-free syrup with a banana.
  • I have seen "two crispy chicken fingers" for 60 calories, 4 oz pot roast for like 120, stuff like that. Crazy. I have also seen overestimates. I eat breakfast Lean Pockets sometimes, (don't judge, I know they're gross) and every entry I could find had them at 270 when they are actually 180 according to the packaging. I…
  • I don't like interacting with many people at the gym either. I just put my stuff down, headphones in, and get going. I leave my headphones is when I stretch and take water breaks. People tend to stop talking to you when they realize you can't hear them. Don't give up. You will succeed, you just have to believe that and…

  • There was a guy at the gym yesterday doing some serious grunting, and it was just the two of us in there. It was a little weird. I guess he was starting off heavy (I only saw his last few sets) and moving down a size of dumbbells after every set. I noticed him doing the 8, then 5, then 3 lb dumbbells and he was making so…
  • It doesn't matter if you're stabbing it with a knife all at once or just kind of scraping it slowly with a toothpick. As long as you take out the same amount of eye you'll burn the same calories. I've always thought about sticking a knife in my eye but I was too scared to try it cause it looks hard. You're an inspiration!
  • I keep wanting to try this but I don't have a blender or a food processor. I have a smoothie maker, though. I wonder if I could do that and just scoop it out instead of dispensing it through the spout. I'm glad everything worked out (no pun intended. ugh.) for you today!
  • I use the machine, but only if I set my weight. MFP can't know how fast/slow or how hard you're going, or factor in variations. Heart rate monitors are supposed to be pretty accurate but they're a but expensive.
  • 6-inch turkey on wheat, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, cucumbers. It is high in sodium, though. Maybe the bread?

  • Anything you do with another person that you can't tell you significant other about is wrong. I don't know if I'd consider it cheating, but I'd be angry if my boyfriend was flirting with someone else while we were together. Anything past that and he'd be kicked to the curb. I've never cheated and I don't think he's ever…
  • Sincerely Me by New Found Glory.
  • I eat either raisin bran with milk and 3 oz banana (325 cal) Quaker strawberry and cream oatmeal and 3 oz banana (205 cal) Two Eggo low-fat nutrigrain waffles with 2 tbs of sugar free syrup, and 3 oz banana (225 cal) I eat at 7:00 am and I'm usually pretty hungry by 10:00, but a Special K bar is usually enough to hold me…
  • Mine is only about 1225.
  • High school for three more months. My favorite classes are AP Psychology and AP Statistics. I'm going to the University of Montevallo in August and I couldn't be more excited. I'm going to major in psychology, hopefully get my Masters in counseling one day. My boyfriend is going to South next year after two years at the…
  • Disneyworld is the best place in the universe. I went over the winter holidays and it was spectacular. We did Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Epcot. Epcot is great for food and learning. Animal Kingdom was a very close second favorite and Magic Kingdom, well, I'd move in if i could. It's perfect. Park Hoppers are great.…
