I ate that way myself for 18+ mo's (up until oct of 2010) and lost 155+ lbs (lowest weight was 157 in oct 2010) thanks to it. Lots of chicken, egg whites, veggies, tuna, oatmeal, natural peanut butter, almonds & a few whole eggs. I've since added a few more foods to my meal plans, however those are still staples in my…

. I had to go to an ENT doc and have mine cut out; it was pretty big. He gave me antibiotics for a week to get the infection down and told me to suck on candy to try to get it to come out by itself. When it didn't he tried to dilate the duct to get it out but it wouldn't budge. So he cut the duct open and popped it out.

^ Try being a fat guy for a day. It works just the same way w/ getting snubbed by the women, probably even more so. grats on the nsv though, it does feel good once you get noticed again.

^this! Start eating slightly more (100-200cals/day) & start on a weight lifting routine to add muscle. You'll not only look healthier but feel great as well while burning off any fat you may still have in a healthy way.

It took me over a year to say more than two words to a friend I met thru my brother. Now when we see each other she can't shut me up.

^This. Except I'd have to search very hard to find any pics of me from those days. Also that I have Avoidant Personality (AvPD). I do well to mask it most of the time.

Age and genetics have alot to do w/ both of these. Older stretch marks most likely will never go away, although they can become faded and not very noticeable. Newer stretch marks have the best chance of going away (skin being repaired). Keep your skin moisturized and in good health for best results. Loose skin, check back…

Being ~1lb a week I'd start w/ upping by only 100/cal per day for two weeks and then look at your weight at the end. If still dropping up it a little again. It's all about slow incremental increases (IE: dialing your calories in) as everyone is different and MFP can only give general guidelines. You'll have to find out…

How quickly are you losing weight now (per week) between what you are eating and expending thru exercising? If it's not a lot (<2lb) then just try upping your calories by 100/day for ~2wks, keeping your exercise the same, and re-evaluate at that time. If still losing then up by 100/day again for a few weeks until you come…

Grats! I just started bike commuting a few mo's ago myself and only avg ~16mph atm, started on my mtb but now I use a cyclocross bike. I only have a 4mi commute (8mi/round) though. However, I've been getting out on Sat mornings for a 30-50mi ride. --- halina20 I rode my mtn bike for a bit on the roads using mtb tires.…

Stated pretty well. I bought the book back in '09 and enjoyed reading it. It helped put alot of things into perspective for me, not only on lifestyle / eating changes but mental changes needed as well.

If I have the calories to "spare" I will mix mine w/ Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (40cal / cup). It's delish! I use Optimum Nutrition 100% gold Whey (current flavors: Mocha Cappuccino & Extreme Choc) and Casein (current flavor: Choc Cake Batter). I will add to water if I don't have extra cals for the almond milk. I…

BMI is bunk as it doesn't take into account Body Fat. If you have two people with the same height and weight but one is 13 percent body fat and the other is 30 percent, there is a definite difference in health risk and also a definite difference in how they look.

I just had my wisdom teeth taken out about a month ago. They were taken out on Thursday and I started some light lifting again that Sunday. Just follow the mouth care instructions they should have given you and you should be fine w/ some light exercise for a few days. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to ask your Doc as…

I ride my bike to work, so that counts as my morning and evening "workout". I get up @ 415am so I can ride to work, shower and be ready to start work @ 6. I also weight lift 3days a week, however this is done in the evening.

http://www.livestrong.com/article/344710-how-to-add-electrolytes-to-water/ How to Add Electrolytes to Water Step 1 Fill a 32-oz. bottle with 16 oz. of water. Distilled water is ideal because it's the closest to pure water, but bringing tap water to a boil in a kettle will provide adequately clean water. Spring water may…

I have this same issue as well and have never really been able to explain the sensation / feeling but you paint a great picture of what it feels like. Oddly enough, for me, adding more caffeine only makes mine worse.

If you are lifting, you will want to get a minimum of 1g / prot per lb of lean body mass to support muscle growth. Otherwise a minimum of 0.8g/lb is sufficient. However, you can't really eat TOO much protein.

The fat from the eggs are Good Fats and Good Fat will actually help keep you satiated. If anything drop the creamer (-4fat) as you really don't want to drink your calories if you can help it. You could add 1/4 - 1/2 cup egg whites if you need more volume which would add 5 - 10 more protein to the meal.

A free help for you; Change the way you think / talk about your goal of getting in shape and losing weight. Don't say trying, say I will be or I am. Say I will lose xx lbs not I hope to. :D It's a subtle change in your thoughts but it'll go a loooong way in helping you to reach your goals. This way of thinking helped me as…
