When I did the Chalean Extreme weight lifting program, I didn't lose any weight and actually gained a couple pounds near the end of the program. Afterward, I took a couple weeks off from lifting and lost weight then. I am not sure what caused that, but I've stayed in that new range ever since.

My husband and I were working out a couple of weeks ago, and my 5 year old daughter decided to join us. She was a little in the way, but I was so happy she was interested in our workout. So I let her stay. Half way through the workout, my husband and I were huffing and puffing, and she says, "This is sooo easy!" She makes…

Congrats! You look great. My husband is like that also. He loses or gains 5 lbs, and you can see a huge difference in his face. Me on the other hand, it would take a lot for my face to change. I gained 25 lbs during my pregnancies, and my face looked the same. It's amazing how different our bodies are!

I am a small woman (5'0", 125 lbs) and have set my weight loss goal to 1/2 a week. My calorie goal is 1250, and whenever I eat more than that I gain weight. I was suprised to learn that it was definitely a goal I could maintain. My biggest changed was breakfast. I usually eat homemade oatmeal and have greek yogurt for a…

I was feeling like banana bread last night! I made a similar recipe with whole wheat flour. It turned out great!

My daughter refused to nap around this age also. Since she has a younger brother and my husband & I need a break also, we have quiet time for her. She watches a movie, colors and plays with her toys while the rest of us rest. It also forces her to relax during that time. I'd prefer she napped, but on the rare occasion that…

^ This!! I turned 30 last week, and I was strangely excited about it. I have reached a lot of my personal goals, am healthier than I've been since high school, have a wonderful family, and am more confidant in myself. My thoughts on it are... you can't change your age but you can definitely own it. To me, nothing's sexier…

You can also get a program like Chalean Extreme or get the book New Rules of Lifting for Woman (NROLFW). All you need are free weights for CLX. NROLFW needs additional equipement, but I've heard of a lot of people making it work at home.

I am 5'0" and 122 lbs. I may not be considered "overweight", but I am not the fitest person either. I've made some great progress since I joined PBS, and I want to contonue to push myself.

I have been doing my own hybrid of the two programs. Right now I am going to start the Lean phase, but I having a hard time motivating myself.

LOL I agree with everyone else! I eat chocolate when I am craving it. If I have a piece of milk chocolate I can't stop eating it, but if I have a good piece of dark chocolate, it satisfies my craving. My favorite is Chuao's Spicy Maya Bar. It has a hint of chile, cayenne pepper and cinnamon. It's amazing! It's only 100…

I do this also. 3 days/week I do CXE and the other 2 days I pick from TF (1 HIIT & 1 Fire). I had a hard time keeping up with the moves at first, but you'll get them quickly. Also, TF is fun! I always get the songs stuck in my head and sing while I work out.

If you're sick, go home. I got the flu while I was pregnant because my co-worker didn't want to waste his leave time. I was out for a full week.

So far I've been doing well. I've stayed under my calorie limit and been working out. I moved my schedule around a little bit, but I've still kept all the scheduled exercises. Sun: CLX Push 2 (Done - 306 cal.) Mon: REST Tues: CLX Push 3 (Done: 315 cal.) Wed: TF HIIT 20 & Ab Burner (Done: 323 cal.) Thurs: TF Fire 45 Fri:…

Glad you've joined me Talethia. It might be just us, but that's alright! Since I have to write things down to follow them, here's my workout schedule this week. Sun: CLX Push 2 (Done - 306 cal.) Mon: TF HIIT 20 & Stretch 10 Tues: REST Wed: CLX Push 3 Thurs: TF Fire 45 Fri: CLX Push 1 & Ab Burner Sat: REST

I saw the skinnytaste recipe on Monday and had to try it out. It's really good, and I've been eating it all week. I'll have to try the pina colada recipe. That looks really good! My variation: 1/4 cup quick oats 1/2 cup almond milks 1/2 tbsp chia seeds 1/4 chopped banana 1/8 cup nuts (pecans or walnuts) 1/8 cup dates 283…

I'll have to try these soon. The kids love zucchini. It's my husband I have to convince!

That's wonderful! It looks like a lot of fun also. My children are younger, 2 & 5, but like to work out with me. When I lift weights, my 5 year old daughter grabs something and works out with me. They both love Turbo Fire and try to dance along with me!

When I was a senior in college, I went to my doctor for my yearly checkup. I had gained a few pounds since my last visit. She told me that the slight weight gain was alright, but I better not gain a "few pounds" every year. I think about that every year, and it's one of the reasons I joined MFP. It sneaks up on you, and…

I do my own CLX/Turbo Fire hybrid. Basically it is the 3 CLX lifting circuits, one TF Fire workout (of my choice) with Stretching, and one HIIT workout with an Ab program. I love both programs, because they push me and are a lot of fun. I just got burnt out this week and need a week off. I noticed a huge dip in my energy…

Swimming all day long and playing outside. We would barely watch tv. There was too much to do and too many animals to chase and play with.

I've always wanted to grow my own fruit, but my yard is too small for my own personal orchard. Instead I have settled for tomatoes, fingerling potatoes, basil, purple basil, thyme and sage. So far they are in containers on my porch. In the fall I want to start a full vegetable garden.

Fage is my favorite. I buy the 0% and add honey or get the flavors, especially raspberry.

I finished CLX in February. Afterwards I wanted to push myself, so I tried Insanity but didn't care for it. Then, I was very busy and took a couple month break. Now, I am back doing a hybrid of CLX & Turbo Fire. One of these days I will have to check out the New Rules of Lifting for Women, but like you, I prefer a video. I…

I live in southern USA also, Texas to be precise, and it is hot here most of the year. Maybe I am used to it, but I cook about the same all year long. I tried to cook homemade chicken soup this weekend but my husband wouldn't hear of it. The only change I make for the summer is cool desserts: homemade ice cream and key…

I have already completed this program and loved it. Since I had never lifted before and was a little nervous about it, it was the perfect program for me.
-
Kincar, I'd call that a hybrid. It's what I am doing also. I am following the CLX schedule of 3 lifting sessions a week and 2 cardio sessions from Turbo Fire. For example: Sun - Fire 45 / Stretch 10 Mon - Burn 1 Tue - REST Wed - Burn 2 Thu - Hit 20 / Ab Burner Fri - Burn 3 Sat - REST I suggest just doing a program that you…

I got married at 21 and my first child at 23 and my 2nd at 25. It's true that many people are now having children in their 30's, but I do not think 23 is "too young" at all. For me, I wouldn't change my choices at all. Congratulations!

I have alread completed the program. I only lost a few pounds, but it changed my body. I had to buy new pants and shorts, because my old ones fall off my hips. My tummy is now flat, and I am starting the see definition in my arms. I didn't follow the program (including diet) as well as I could of last time; so I expect…

I am 5'0" and started this journey at 135. Now I am at 122 and have started challenging myself with weight lifting. Most of my family & friends question why I am doing this. My answer is similar to yours.... My mother is obese and has diabetes. I wanted to change my life now, and be a good example to my kids. It only gets…
