I say that if she wants to go with you...that's great! But if she can't keep up, or wants to go slower than you...that's her deal, and you will continue on YOUR pace. This has to be YOUR thing. There are OTHER ways you two can be health together. A run is a personal thing.

The 'guilt factor' is why I like MFP. I hate adding bad things to my diary...so I don't eat it. Cheating id NOT an option. I WILL get more fit! Add me if you'd like.

That's why I'm here too. Not SO much to lose weight, but to get healthier. I need to lose 10...but I want to be more fit. My REAL goal is to have a thinner waist. I don't have a family to distract me, yet it also means that I have no 'in-home cheerleaders'...LOL! Feel free to add me.

As they say on The Biggest Loser: The scale is your enemy. As you exercise, you gain muscle, which weighs more than fat...so weighing yourself can give you bad information. The best way to track progress is inches lost. I only weigh myself once a week...for the MFP check-in.

Last year I went to the gym 3 days a week...around March of this year, I stopped. Excuse after excuse why. I recently bought a piece of exercise equipment...no more excuses. I'm not really over weight, but I want to get healthier. I ain't getting any younger...LOL! Good luck!

I try and make the whole 'calorie watching and exercise thing' a game. Seems to make it easier for me. I'm 51. Id I can do it, anyone can. Good luck!
