It kills me to say so... but your mom may be a bit right. I started here a full 2 months before I REALLY STARTED here. I thought I wanted to lose weight... really I just wanted to be instantly smaller, I didn't want to put the effort in to do anything about it. I had a couple friends starting a diet plan and was…

Fabulous!!! I can relate! I started out saying "Maybe a 14, or even a *gasp* 12?!?!" and the tens have taken over and I still can't believe it some days! :drinker: :drinker:

So awesome!!!! Gorgeous dress btw!

I get what you are trying to say. It is super awesome when people do voice their congrats and such... and it does make you pause a second when people whom you KNOW notice say nothing. You simply cannot let it get to you. Probably more THEM than YOU. and yes, some people are nervous to comment on the changes that others…

One of the best feelings!!! Go you!!!!

Ahh I gotcha! I feel the exact same way. just wanted to be sure that you knew you didn't HAVE to do it if it makes you uncomfortable... or pissed off ;)

Why do you feel that MFP MAKES you weigh once a week... You can check in whenever you like, daily, weekly, monthly, never... your call! ;)

YAY!

BEST. Answer. EVER. hahaha

Now I am just even more curious... You don't believe that the best solution to changing the way a PARENT packs a "lunch" is to talk to the PARENT? Edited to say that I don't even care anymore... I'm completely confused by all of it... If there is an obvious issue with the way that a child is eating, behaving, dressing,…

Gimme a break... All I'm saying is that if SOMEONE said something to the parents (in this case) MAYBE there would be a change, talking about it HERE doesn't do anything good for this little girl. Turn my comment into whatever you need to in order to make it okay to talk behind people's back instead of helping a kid. No…

Only if they know it's an issue.... people talking behind other peoples' backs solve NOTHING. Bringing it to the parents' attention, or asking questions of HOW TO HELP the situation is what gets things solved.

  Well then I'd say everyone's doing a GREAT job! :drinker: Carry on!

Kind of where my head was at when I read this... I've seen some pretty "questionable" lunches given to kids and while it's easy to just paint mom and dad as *kitten*, the entire story is seldom known. My question would be, if the teacher or other lady in the lunch room says it is this way all the time (most likely with a…

I use a 32oz cup and drink one between start of work and lunch, and one from lunch until quitting time. As an added bonus, I keep a measuring cup by the sink both at work and home... when I go to the kitchen, I fill it and down it, it only takes a second!

The way I see it... I love cheese. I'm not going to cut it out of my life forever...ARE YOU? I mean really, are you NEVER going to EAT cheese again? If not, don't eat it now. If so... find a way to make it work. I buy shredded cheddar, sometimes low fat, sometimes not. I sprinkle 1/8 of a cup (usually 40-80 calories…

You never know EE!!! They might be comfy even for you!

Based on this response alone.... I like you! LOL You've already learned the ways of the forums! :drinker:

YIKES. Is it horrible to say that I am really really really glad that we are NOT friends on here??? Cuz, if it is... guess I'm pretty horrible.

I'm one... I guess :blushing: I still have 12 pounds to go to be successful in my own mind... but I joined MFP in May of 2011. Got serious about it in July 2011. Since then I have lost 40 pounds (2 pounds up from being silly) It's been slow, but that is A-O-K for me. I will lose my 50th pound eventually. I'm 5'3", 33 years…

There it is!!!!!

I've followed many friends' pregnancies here and let me tell you.... I WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT MFP when I was preggers!!! Maybe wouldn't have put on 57# of the 63# I had lost prior :grumble: :blushing:

Agree that this topic did not reflect the expected content! A very good post none-the-less!

Not really "over it" if you have to spout your opinion on someone else's thread and not even have anything to offer... OP: I have tried the canned pumpkin and brownie mix and it isn't all that bad. Swapping out eggs, oil, etc. for veggies can't really be a bad thing. Try it. Like it? Great! Don't? Ok too:flowerforyou:

Never settle for "never gonna happen"... Ever. Work on it. Do toning and such and see what happens. It will get better. It may not ever be PERFECT... but can be BETTER. Hang in there! Deflated, but NEVER Defeated. :flowerforyou:

No thanks... It's not that I think you're wrong, but for me WATER is WATER. I'm a 64oz a day girl and don't care to change because water, plain old boring water, is GOOD FOR YOU. It's good for weight loss, complexion, headaches, and MORE. And Btw, I've been here quite a while too... length of time on MFP doesn't make you…
