It's been a year and I still get haaaangry every now and then! And I eat all the sugar LOL

That's great! Congrats to you :) What works for me is pre-logging when I can and trying not to waste calories on drinks!

This is weird....is "scale" code for "gun"? I mean...I guess bringing a gun into the home would warrant a family discussion....I just don't get it. If you want to know how much you weigh, buy a scale. If you don't want to smuggle illegal contraband into your home, take measurements. If measuring tape is also a weird thing…

I gained 7 lbs in my first 3 days at the gym. It took about 3 weeks to drop off and then I started losing regularly again. That is, until I switched up my exercise routine again a few months later....and then I put on another 5....took a few weeks to drop off lol It's frustrating, but just know it's your body retaining…

I think what kept me going was not going too hard in the beginning. I started with strictly counting calories. Once I got that in check, I moved on to slowly adding in exercise at home. Then I moved onto joining the gym. Now I workout daily and focus more on hitting my macros as opposed to just counting calories. Start…

Lol yeah probably not the same as my story at all...since I spent the first 3 months of my weight loss journey being lazy. And you just dove in head first. Clearly you're the winner here...congrats, dude. You're a solid human being.

Clearly OP is a troll...but I'll take the bait. 1. I spent the first 3 months on mfp strictly counting calories. I was 261 lbs. I was uncomfortable and huge and exercising was terrible and embarrassing. Have you ever exercised at 261 lbs? Anyway...that is where I lost my first 30 lbs. 2. Other than being huge and…

I've heard that it's good to do lifting before any cardio, so you can put all of your energy into it. On the other hand, I do a little cardio before lifting because I like to keep my heart rate up.I think it's really up to your personal preference.

Um...hello. Would you like to look like this? <
-
I really must venture into the forums more often....hahahaahha
-
Hooray!!!! Amazing progress! So happy for you :)
-
Hahahahaha THIS! 100% this ;)

I agree with the success stories. Super motivating! Also, be patient. Trust the system. Time is going to pass either way, might as well make the most of it!!

I would suggest pre-logging. That way you already know what you are going to eat and when you get to eat it. Takes the thought process out of it. Also, bring some easy snacks to work in your bag. Don't let yourself get that hungry in the first place!

Depends on how much $ you have for alterations! Lol seriously though, I used to run a bridal shop. If you have a good seamstress, keep up with the deficit! Also, adjusting to maintenance can be trickier than it sounds and you don't want to end up gaining!

When I started the gym? I gained 7 lbs...in my first week. I wanted to quit lol so frustrating. Turns out it was just water weight. 2 weeks later it dropped off and now I'm losing steadily again. Whatever you do, don't stop. It's a temporary gain and it will work itself out!!
-
Yep. It's confirmed! I think about absolutely nothing when I'm at the gym! And that's probably the only time during my day where that happens!
-
I do it. I love it. Tried not doing it...hated it! That being said, I don't do alternate day fasting. Just 16:8 or 20:4. Or a combination of the 2

I honestly have no idea what I think about!! Kinda want to go to the gym again so I can find out :)
-
If I were you, I would call it a day and start over tomorrow. If you're going to be stressed about it? Take 100 calories off for the next few days. It wont do much damage in the long run. If a lb is 3500 calories then we are talking less than half a lb here. Go burn some calories and stop stressing :)
-
Actually, the calories burned on the machines at my gym are pretty comparable to my HRM if I enter my weight. I think you're doing fine with your estimations! Especially if you aren't eating them all back :)
-
I had french toast with syrup and 3 scrambled eggs for breakfast! It was heavenly!! And thankfully very filling! In other words, we're in the same boat!
-
89 lbs overall 52 in the past 8 months 30 to 40 left to go :)
-
Hmm...well that's a first for me! I drink a lot with my meals...before, during and after! No weight loss problems :)
-
I'm currently losing between 1.3 and 1.8 per week. 5'6" and 209 lbs
-
My HRM gives me a way more accurate calorie count than the mfp calculations. But when I walk, my heart rate is up.... That is based on using mfp estimates for 4 months vs using HRM for 4 months. So I guess my proof would be in my results?

I workout in a fasted state....usually eat between 5 and 9. I will occasionally eat something small early afternoon if I feel like I need it. Otherwise just non caloric drinks all day. You gotta do what feels right for you. IF shouldn't make you feel weak. If it does? Throw in a protein shake. Or a small snack. You just…

I met my future husband, Norman Reedus.....but he didn't propose on the spot... Later, when I saw the picture of us, I understood why!! Next day? New mfp account. And here I am 8 months later and 50 lbs lighter ;)
-
I just had to suck it up and do it!!! Like literally force myself to become a morning person! Having everything laid out and ready to go really helps me. No joke, it took me a couple weeks to make a habit out of it...because I LOVE SLEEP!

It will even out soon. You are actively watching what you eat. If you're like I was when I started, it will go away very soon. Lol you'll start to feel more hungry. Your body is just getting used to eating less food.
