  • I find it shocking you have to wait that long for an appointment. I'm glad I live in the UK. My Doctor keeps spare appointments for emergencies so you can be seen the same day if necessary. Alot of our hospitals have walk in surgeries which are open 24 hrs or you can go to Casualty ( ER) and it all on NHS and we don't have…
  • In the UK there is nutritional info on the dog food and lots of other useful info on it like how many calories your dog needs per day for his weight. I know because used that info when I put one of my dogs on a diet and it worked
  • Sounds like it's easier to eat a healthy diet and get some exercise. I couldn't survive on 500 cals LOL
  • When I was child in the 1950's we never had any junk food in the house but we got a weekly chocolate treat on a Friday night when my Dad got paid. My Mum used to bake a cake for Sunday afternoon tea. We definetely didn't feel deprived :drinker: Recently I started doing packed lunches for my lean, fit partner who had changed…
  • I'm 63 and wouldn't be seen dead in sensible shoes and knee length skirts. Wear what you like as long as it fits properly. :flowerforyou:
  • I never use salt in my cooking. I haven't for years and when I eat at my Mother's who put salt in everything. It's tastes really salty and when I leave I have to stop to buy a couple of bottles of water to drink in the car on the way home. If you stop putting in your food after a while you will prefer it without. I haven't…
  • I don't use salt not even when I cook. Generally my sodium levels are well below a 1000. When I visit my Mother who is a heavy salt user I have to stop at motorway services on the way home to buy a couple of bottles of water I'm so thirsty
  • I also have three dogs  Jack my eldest is a Dalmation and is 13 yrs old and still loves a good run around the woods despite his age.I've had him since he was 8 weeks old. Daisy my youngest is also a Dalmation. She is 3 yrs old. I got her when she was 8 weeks old because I thought Jack was nearing the end of his life…

  • I always cook from fresh ingredients. I find you get more for your calories. Processed food makes me feel unwell quite quickly so I try and avoid it :flowerforyou:
  • I cook from fresh ingredients and eat all my exercise calories  Although my ticker is showing 4 pounds lost I have lost about 150 pounds. I just set myself a target and when I have lost that I set another target :flowerforyou:
  • I 'm 63 :flowerforyou:
  • Both are considered 1 sandwich. If the pack has a bar code on it you scan with the app on your phone and add it to your diary
  • I've always had a healthy diet just far too much of it
  • I feel your pain and it will get better with time :flowerforyou: My husband died 6 yrs ago and I found walking my dog a great help. I walked for miles it allowed me time to think and it tired me out. It may not seem like it now but it will get better with time. It took me a good two years to get over my husband's death. We…
  • Thanks I'll give that a try. I often make my own bread. good workout for the arms
  • I just took a peek at you food diary. Your sodium intake is quite high. Try avoiding processed food and cook from fresh ingredients. :flowerforyou:
  • I eat bread and I'm losing weight. I have poached eggs on toast for breakfast. I'm having a banana sandwich for lunch. I eat wholemeal bread and don't put any butter on it. I often have a Chicken salad sandwich. I just spread low fat mayo on the bread.:flowerforyou:
  • I would just carry on as normal. I went over my calories the day before weigh in day and still lost 3.5 pounds. It's what you do the majority of the time not the odd lapse. :flowerforyou:
  • I had a quick look at your diary and I don't see any vegetables. I tend to use veg to bulk up my diet to fill me up.:flowerforyou:
  • I eat all mine and lost 3.5 pounds last week despite exceeding my allowance one day. I set myself targets then when I've got there I set another one. I'm just one week into my newest target but in all I have lost 158 pounds using this method.
  • Mine is 1200 before exercise and I eat all my exercise calories. I try to net 1200 per day. I've just eaten a banana because otherwise I would have been below 1200 net. I went over my allowance yesterday and still lost 3.5 pounds this week
  • and it's tastes better
  • When I first started my weight loss journey I weighed about 350 pounds. I weigh 192 pounds now. It took a while for my head to catch up with my body changes. I went through a period of buying clothes that were too big because I didn't realise how much weight I had lost.
  • I much prefer weighing food much easier to control. :flowerforyou:
  • Just had a look at your diary. Try adding a sodium column. You are eating alot of processed foods. I think you may be suprised how high your sodium levels are. It's much easier to lose weight if you cook from fresh and avoid processed foods :flowerforyou:
  • I usually have a couple of poached eggs on wholemeal toast :drinker: That usually sees me through to lunch time
